Scott Elarton signed a Minor league deal with the White Sox after not pitching last season.

Chad Gaudin was officially released from the Yanks after not being claimed... And on a side note, expect Jarrod Washburn to go back to SEA with Lee out for a few weeks in April.

It's still not a certainty yet, but Arizona has been batting Conor Jackson in the leadoff spot lately, and without a true leadoff guy, it seems more and more likely that he will end up starting the year at the top of the order.

              Jackson LF
              Drew SS
              Upton RF
              Reynolds 3B
              LaRoche 1B
              Montero C
              Young CF
              Johnson 2B

That is probably what our lineup will look like on Opening Day, with the only possible change being Montero and LaRoche swapping spots in the order.

As far as the rotation, with Webb probably being out for the first 3 or 4 weeks of the season, Danny Haren will start Opening Day. Edwin Jackson will pitch the next day, Ian Kennedy will follow him, and then most likely Billy Buckner. Rodrigo Lopez has pitched better than Buckner over the spring (although neither have been that great honestly) but I think the team wants Buckner to be the guy to stick in the rotation.

So if I had to put together our rotation for the whole year it would probably look like this:

              Haren
              Jackson
              Webb
              Kennedy
              Buckner

Chad Qualls will definitely be the closer, Juan Gutierrez will set up, Heilman, Zavada, and Howry will be in the bullpen, and then after that the last spot in the pen is still up in the air.

I love Stassi and Green I have mixed reviews on. I believe I have them both at A. Now before you go all nuclear on me, understand Stassi is a very good catching prospect with big PROJECTABLE bat and Green was supposed to be a top 3 pick all season, the talent is there. Give the A's a little love even if Derek Lowe did the suck-it antic in the ALCS!

Ksig, do you know how yall handled Troy Patton? He obviously was an A potential guy pre-injury. Just curious how his injury that kept him out last season factored into yall's assessment of him. Like if you adjusted his potential for the injury or just his ratings or both or neither.

He was supposed to be a stud with Houston. He is an SCEA guy so basically he will be stock. I still like him, but not in a prospect way. I am sure you can insert him in your rotation and play out with him. What is his stock rating from SCEA? D?

I think I'm going to amp it up to all star defaults. I'm destroying people in exhibition all of a sudden. like 4-5 homers a game destroying and I wanted to make sure it wasn't that giving me the edge. Strange you bring that up because I'm fairly patient at the plate in the game and was a aggressive bad ball hitter in real life.

What exactly does it mean that he is an SCEA guy? He actually was left out of the game this year...I am confused.

Hey y'all, new to the board.

I can't believe the amount of work that goes into these minor league rosters. From what I've read, Knight and Ksig are doing a helluva job to get these ready for the regular season. I've downloaded osu's roster (which is awesome considering the game hasn't been out for a month yet), and can't wait for Knight's to get done.

From a newbie, you guys rock. I really appreciate the work you are putting in to make a great game even better. Cheers.

                            Nate

The A's getting some love? Thanks man, cause they will need it big time. I am running my practice franchise until these rosters come out and I am currently 8-25, or something very close to that. Pitching is doing well, but the anemic offense is losing a lot of close games. The first season may be a wash, but with these guys as prospects I might be able to bring the A's back to prominence. About time too. The last three years, the A's have always had a pitcher leading the league in lowest run support. That is where I am with Sheets right now.
