I think it's debatable at this point how much performance affects progression at this point. It may, but I wouldn't count on it. Coaching, training and potential are what I would expect to have an impact on progression.

If you look at the name of the roster set, that might give you an idea.

Mitch Talbot has won the 4th spot in the Indians rotation

Aaron Laffey will be in the bullpen

the 5th spot in the rotation is now coming down to David Huff and Carlos Carrasco

Right now it's looking like Kanekoa Texeira (RP) is going to make the Mariner's Opening Day roster along with Matt Tuiasosopo (Util INF).

Also the catching battery seems like its going to be Adam Moore and Rob Johnson with E. Alfonso and Quiroz being optioned to minor league camp. Bard is still around but he's on a minor league deal and will most likely be optioned next since he's having an atrocious spring.

            Quick CAP on Texeira: SNK -88/89mph * Cutter -86mph * CRV -74(ish)mph.

All his pitches look to be above average. Sinker induces a ton of groundballs and he uses the cutter on LHers. The curve seems to be his strikeout pitch and has a ton of break.

Looks like a solid rule-5 pickup by Seattle.

Bobby Jenks changed his wind-up. Of course I have not see it yet, so I am of no help, but just letting you know to keep an eye out for it.

I was just wondering what Baltimore's roster would look like. I know it's "Full Minors" but will literally EVERY prospect from AA and AAA be on the team? In addition to younger but more notable guys like Matt Hobgood? What about Zach Britton?

It sucks being an O's fan with this game because while they do have a ton of young and exciting guys to play with, half of them don't even have proper delivery/batting stances. It's really no fun to pitch Brian Matusz when he's using generic delivery #1. Same with Tillman, Bergesen, Adam Jones, etc.

I try to pick decent ones for those guys (Ian Snell for Matusz) but I feel like Knight would have a better idea.

Tons of M's blogs reporting that Mike Sweeney will be the 25th man. And be DH vs LHP's and play 1B once in a while. Garko will get sent to the minors should this happen.

                        little update from Cincy...

don't forget Logan Ondrusek...he's actually still in the race to possibly make it to the show out of the bullpen...the rotation is looking like Harang/Cueto/Arroyo/Bailey/Travis Wood as of now...Baker was quoted after the game yesterday about the 5th starter race -

“The only thing is Leake hasn’t gone in a five-man rotation yet. He’s just pitched Friday night (in college). We don’t know how he’ll respond there. Wood is five years in pro ball. He’s more experienced. We don’t know quite enough about Chapman to make a true determination.”

                        - which makes you think the team is leaning towards Wood as the 5th guy...

other tid-bits to help you with...Justin Lehr is being looked at as a reliever, along with Matt Maloney & Micah Owings...Chris Heisey was sent to the AAA team...

                          Another thing to note.....

Andruw Jones lost 25-30 pounds during the offseason. I noticed on the rosters SCEA makes, he still looks pretty thick, but from what I have seen of him in ST, he looks pretty damn lean.

Some Rangers news: P Doug Mathis leads the race for the long reliever spot over Brandon McCarthy and Derek Holland (who will both head to AAA)

IF Joaquin Arias leads the race for backup IF over IF Esteban German

Rangers still can't decide over C/1B Max Ramirez and 1B/3B Matt Brown for the Backup 1B spot.

Knight, when I directed you to give Jason Heyward a "99" rating in every single category, I made a mistake...

He needs a "100" in the plate vision department. Bobby Valentine and the crew went on about his plate vision and Chipper said the reason the team has so many walks already (they lead all teams) is because of Heyward.

Anyway, carry on. It shouldn't be too difficult to make this change as you only have to bump it one tick to the right

                                Oh you Braves fans....drooling already.
                                He gets a 1 in everything. I'll give him a 2 in Plate discipline....alright?

Ridin' is still killin' it ...and we're well on our way to an Opening Day release....barring any problems(either with the set(minor)...or with something regarding ourselves(let's pray not)...

                                A couple of things.
Right now I'm assigning random but different motions/stances for the players. To go through minor league video right now would be a hindrance to the release.
However, if you want to PM me with a list of players and their stances/motions(MINOR LEAGUERS ONLY)...I'll get them in.

I'm going to try and get to as many faces as I can for the initial release(the NL EAST is completely done already)...but I will have
                                -The top 100 prospects done
-Then I'll work on the top prospects from each team....top 5 cycling through...then the next 5 through each team...and so on.

We really want to get the AAA as per real life...but this occasionally might not be entirely possible. If it's not....it's just going to be 1 or two "bit" players(I WISH I could be a "bit" player in baseball)
