hey knight will you be making jason heyward a top 5 player on the braves roster? :P i think with my recent purchase of battlefield and cubbyfan from ootp forums releasing a roster for out of the park baseball, i can wait a while longer for the first full release of the game (with minors edited, faces edited, some re-ratings, etc.)

keep up the good work guys and thanks again

I couldn't follow three teams, but I don't think it is sad when someone does. Well it is if they are constantly changing who they follow. But I would imagine being in Nebraska where there are no major teams, it would make more sense that someone might follow different teams. Cool that your family goes to AAA games. My family had season tickets to a single A team in California while I was growing up. Saw a lot of great players in the California league during that time. Piazza, Karros when they were in Bakersfield. The best for our team was easily Ken Griffey Jr. For the whole first half he played single A ball, lol. I was to get his autograph on a couple cards I had of his, but he was called up the day the GM was to get him to do it for me. Then he was in Seattle the next season. I just noticed those baseball cards yesterday in a drawer.

Anyway, sorry to go so off topic, but watching minor league baseball is a blast. Never been to a AAA game though.

                  Hi,
Is opening day, April 4th still that best educated guess for the first set of rosters?

Haven't been able to get/find an answer to the question of whether the first release will include pitch edits of minor leaguers. If anyone knows, i'd appreciate it.

another reds update for you rostermakers...

Bronson Arroyo, Homer Bailey, Johnny Cueto and Aaron Harang are locks for the rotation. Order of throwing - Harang/Cueto/Arroyo/Bailey/5th man....

Francisco Cordero, Nick Masset, Arthur Rhodes, Daniel Ray Herrera and Jared Burton are locks for the bullpen. Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips, Orlando Cabrera, Scott Rolen, Jay Bruce, Chris Dickerson, Drew Stubbs and Jonny Gomes are locks among the position players. The two catcher will Ryan Hanian and Ramon Hernandez. That’s 19.

For the other six spots: You’ve got Wladimir Balentien and Laynce Nix going for one outfield position. You’ve got Drew Sutton, Paul Janish, Chris Burke, Aaron Miles, Juan Francisco and Miguel Cairo going two infield positions. (Wilkin Castillo could be in that equation as well as catcher/utility guy). And you’ve got Micah Owings, Mike Lincoln, Logan Ondrusek, Carlos Fisher, Kip Wells, Matt Maloney and Justin Lehr going for two bullpen spots.

As for the fifth spot, it will be Mike Leake, Travis Wood or Aroldis Chapman. The two who don’t make it will start in the minors.

other news as I have seen it...1B/UTIL guy Doug Mient. from LA was told he will not make the team...Ian Desmond in Washington beat out Guzman to be the starter at SS on opening day...Milton Bradley will open the year as the Mariners clean-up hitter...RP's Seay and Zach Miner from Detroit will open the season on the 15-day DL

If you're just talking about creating minor league pitches and giving them realistic pitch arsenals, then yes that would be in the initial release. Because knight/ridin/ksig do EVERYTHING for the minor leagues. If you are referring to the pitch edits that Razr and I do (editing major leaguers pitch arsenals only), then no, I dont believe those will be in the first release.

knight...what's the schedule after your initial release? I pmed JaSnake to get his opinion but I have the time where I could dedicate a lot of time to get his re-rate edits to the batters and pitchers using Banhzo's tool...his spreadsheet from what he tells me is ready to rock and roll and I have done some research simming the e.o.s. set from '09 to get rid of errors that might have popped up...

are you going to finish the faces gradually and then give the set to RAZR to put in the pitch edits? I could knock out the stamina edits during the period in which i enter the pitch re-rates as well...I really want to have a franchise in which I mimic the actual '10 mlb season but some things are keeping me from doing so (my OCD disorder) & I think the pitch-stamina edits/equipment/re-rates are important to make franchise play realistic...are you gonna wait until those are done, then finish up the faces and then post it?

Yup, the minor league pitchers will have their real life repertoire.
