Re: Players for OS Full Minors
first of all thanks a ton for your work.
secondly i would ask(BEG!) that yall please make an effort to put in some young high potential relief pitchers in. i always play a franchise with the rosters and like to get prospects that i recognize(not stack the minors but have a few top guys at each age level) and there always seems to be very few young rps. i know that is mostly cause teams keep guys at starters or closers til they screw up but i would just like to see some guys like ex top college closers(j brent cox, bryan moran come to mind) etc thanks for your considerationComment

Ksig,
When you get a chance can you look at the Reds section on http://mlb10resources.proboards.com/...play&thread=43 and give me your input on if I should add or remove anyone.
Thanks,

Re: Players for OS Full Minors
Hey Knight, I know you and your team normally get working quickly on the Full O.S. Minors set, but i'm just curious with all the mess-ups on potential, whether you will wait for the Developers to release the first roster update, which is supposed to be "un-bugged" or whether you will be making it with the rosters as is. ThanksComment

Re: Players for OS Full Minors
Just makes me sad that they didn't sneak in the "Ackley" last name audio. Now I'll have to listen to... "Coming to the plate.... number 5" or "number 5 settles under it... and makes the catch"
Ugh.
It doesn't seem like they got any 09 draftees in there, audio-wise. Very strange since they had some obscure prospect audio snuck in last year. Carlos Triunfel comes to mind.Comment

Re: Players for OS Full Minors
Hey KSig,
I attend every single home game for the Lakewood BlueClaws and see a ton of Lo-A talent and have a pretty decent eye for talent being as I played ball for 14 years before blowing out my arm senior year of high school, but have been going to games for years in Lakewood and pride myself on evaluating that talent, and these are just a few guys I saw last year that peaked my interest, and wonder if they are on your list:
Delvi Cid, Cleveland Indians
He has extreme speed. Some of the balls I saw him track down in the outfield were just as impressive as hometown hero Anthony Gose. This goes without talking about his speed on the basepaths. However he needs to work on getting better jumps, something I noticed. Hitting wise he has a pretty good eye, while he didn't draw a ton of walks on the season, he showed great pitch selection in the 8 or so games I saw them in Lakewood. He just jumped out to me as guy who plays hard.
Harold Garcia, Philadelphia Phillies
Roldy had a heck of a year for the championship team and really was consistant. He can be very solid in the field or just look lackadaisical, somewhat inconsistent with the leather, but the bat sorta speaks for itself. Has pretty good pop for a guy his stature and surely is likely the best Phillies 2nd Base prospect.
Santos Rodriguez, Chicago White Sox
I am sure he is on your list, but my god can he bring it. During the semi finals, I saw him come into two games and just shut everything down and he might as well have closed down the stadium as well. Mind you both games Lakewood was already winning, but man can he bring it with great location and movement.
Brian Pellegrini, Houston Astros
While a little old for his level, he played the season at 24, he managed to smack 34 homers at both levels of A ball, not too shabby. He will play this season at 25, and if he doesn't move quickly could end up looking like a career minor leaguer, but with Berkman aging, he could have a slight chance, especially being they don't have too much depth at 1b in the organization.
Well that's just a couple as I gotta hit the sack, have an exam in 6 hours and still have to study, but hell its baseball season, life takes a backseat. Let me know if you would like me to keep listing guys. PM me if you'd like!
Thanks!Comment

Re: Players for OS Full Minors
Is jose iglesias from the Red Sox included? He is supposedly the next great fielder short stop, Omar Vizquel said he thought he was watching himself play. Also Casey Kelly, one of the top pitching prospects for the Sox. And this is probably dumb, but Aroldis Champman isn't in the Show rosters, will he be in these ones?Comment
