Ok, so even if I have manual control for everything, when a player is placed on waivers it will be beyond my control. I get that, my problem I guess is, why is the CPU placing them on waivers at all if I'm supposed to be controlling everything. That's what I don't get. But it's fine, I sense that I'm beginning to frustrate people. I have read every post from the beginning of this thread to the end, it's just not sinking in. My guess is there are others that feel the same. If not, I apologize.

You have XX players on the 40 man roster.
25 are assigned to the MLB squad...the others are assigned to AAA/AA/A
those are the guys(the others)...become "available" for ST....and thereby subject to having to be "sent down" when ST ends.(so technically...they are promoted to the MLB level for ST)
Some will have options...others are out of options....and those guys must be put on waivers in order to be assigned to AAA or AA(it's not really a choice for you...except if you keep them in the MLB...or start your franchise with a roster that doesn't have them on the 40 man roster)

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
Ok, that is the first time I've completely understood how it works with players going back and forth. I simply didn't think the game was being THAT true to life. I figured, it's a game, it's probably something less realistic.
The thing is even if these things get talked about over several posts, and the info is technically in there, it may not be obvious to those not involved in the conversation. And even then if someone lists step by step instructions, if they don't explain WHY each step has to happen, someone like me feels like they've lost control on what is happening in their season. But I immensely appreciate it. Now, I assume this whole thing of keeping 25 guys goes for season or franchise, obviously. So knowing and respecting your rosters for years, which rosters would you recommend for me? The OS V2 scheduled to appear soon or can I use the dorismary ones?Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
I have a nice roster set in which players are batting as close to their normal spot in the lineup as possible after spring training concludes. I will post on sportsconnect in a few...Comment

Cool, ok, so it's normal for those players that get put on waivers to happen at the end of spring training like I'm seeing? Is that because of the roster file I'm using? (Please don't say "no...")Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
No(to your second question)
One thing...I don't know how Non-Roster Invitees are handled in regards to waivers(I'm guessing they don't have to pass through if they have no options and although they were in Spring Training, can be assigned to the minors if they agree) in real life....but since the game doesn't have that in place....players like that will have to go through the waiver process in the game(for instance...Andy Green on the Mets...I don't think he passed through waivers)

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
just a few minor ratings tweaks to a few players on each of the teams will fix this issue. nothing major either, only a few points one way or the other.Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
Originally posted by dfeldman92dont know if this answer was alreayd posted but here is what i did. it took me about an hour I had a computer next to my PS3 and go to espn.com/mlb/players 2)n the Franchise mode, all u need to do is have ur team selected and make sure u turn CPU control on 3) click on CPU roster control while u r STILL IN SPRING TRAINING 4)(THE SHOW) go team by team. for example, the orioles are the first team so click on orioles and select roster movement. press L1 until u reach MLB rosters. 5) (ESPN) click on the orioles and then click active roster (not 40 man roster) 6) (THE SHOW) scroll all the way to the bottom. look at the player and then look at ESPN's roster and see if they are on the active roster. if they are move to the next player. if not click on him and select move to A-club. (you can put a few on Triple A and Double A but if u put too much u will have too many on that respective roster and u will have to spend time moving Triple A guys to the lower divisions) 7) Repeat with every team. shouldnt take too long like i said took me about an hour. after a few teams u will start to get the hang of it and it will go much faster. its not as long as it sounds bc u will notice guys like Derek Jeter or albert Pujols and u wont need to check ESPn's rosters to see if they are on the team. PS- if u do this with regular roster control not CPU control it will use one of the players options and depending on his contract he might be out of options or some other problem. just do all by CPU Roster Control and u wont get any problem.s IF u have ANY questions about how to do this feel free to PM me

I don't personally see that there's a problem though with someone else offering their way of doing it, is there? Maybe I'm wrong.Comment

Well, there is something to be said for redundancy, but being too precious about forums is, in my opinion contrary to the idea of conversation and open discussion. I guess I see it both ways.Comment
