Thanks in advance and good luck with the rest of the All-Timers 40 Man set.
I'll bet when I was changing their positions, etc. that I passed the Catcher/3B part and it made them all default to right-handed...though Kennedy was my mess up. I actually thought he was a switch hitter, but the rest (except Fred Lynn) are guys already in the game. Thanks for the help!

The D-Backs are done and I'll work on the Rockies, but I'm not moving as fast as I thought I would today. May take me an extra day...

Just about the best, if not the best, pitching staff so far, IMO, but the Dodgers are done and there's also a few guys already made in the minors like Johnny Podres, Mike Scioscia, and Babe Herman, who got cut at the last minute.

Two more teams: The Padres and then the Giants. This should be done tomorrow and after that, I've decided against doing the Negro Leagues and International Teams due to lack of data available to me and interest on my part. However, I'm going to follow the 40-Man release up with as many free agents/minor leaguers as possible. There were still some guys I wanted to put into the teams, but just couldn't find a place for them. I may buy '11, but if I do any more, I'll probably do some classic teams for the next game...but I don't know if I'll upgrade or not...

          Re: All-Timers Teams

I just sat down and compiled a list of 40-man rosters for all the teams based off some work that I did for HH and incorporated some work from MVP.

I am so glad I decided to check OS and see if anyone had been working on AllTime rosters.

Brother, what you've done for the community is monumental.

I know you literally saved me weeks and weeks of doing the same thing. I doubt you know how much people are going to appreciate these rosters.

I just read through the whole thread, and the ups and downs of making rosters. I've made rosters for HH, MVP, etc ... and I completely understand what you've went through in terms of the motivation, then no motivation, then motivation, then no motivation.

I don't know how you;ve made it this far, because editing rosters for console games and doing the same for PC games is night & day, much more work for the console.

          Appreciate it man.

You have Paul Lo Duca listed twice... both on the main 25-man roster and on the 40-man reserves.

I would put either Steve Yeager, John Roseboro, Mickey Owen, Hank DeBerry, or even Russell Martin as the 3rd catcher on the Dodgers 40-man roster.

would love to see Roseboro make the squad. He handled Koufax, Drysdale, and the rest of the 1960's Dodgers staff...

Oops. I changed it to Russell Martin on the main roster. I just forgot to change it on the list before I posted it. I'll definitely keep those other guys in mind for the minors when I get to them, however.

Thanks, man. It was definitely a lot of work and I'd honestly hate to have to do this again, so I may skip MLB '11 altogether and just enjoy this for the time being. But it's almost time for the new game and I still want to do a classic team set I have mind (1975-present), so that may change as well...

Anyway, thanks for the comments. As you can tell, they're not perfect, but with a few tweaks here and there, they can be fun to play with, which is something I haven't even gotten really to do...play the game with these rosters...Padres and Giants coming later today and I will probably upload later and then begin the process of filling the minors with as many random guys as possible.

Mysterio, you've done a great job on these and I'm looking forward to downloading the completed set. I know it's tough to even think about at this point, but I hope you reconsider and decide to pick up '11 and do some roster work on it as well. We never can have too many classic sets when it comes to this game!

Yeah, I probably will cave and buy '11 anyway, but I'm still going to play '10 when I want to deal with the All-Timers. I do plan on finally playing soon with your '86 rosters. The '86 Mets are one of my favorite all-time teams.

Although I do plan on getting a new flash drive soon, I am accepting that it's lost for good. If you don't mind, can you grab this from the Roster Vault later when I upload and post it at least one more time for those that can't get into the vault? It would be appreciated.

Anyway, the Padres are finished and what a crap franchise...finding guys for this team was brutal, but that's just one man's opinion.

No problem, I'll post it once you upload the file.

You'll have to let me know how you like the '86 set when you get a chance to check them out. I'm a couple weeks past the All Star break and chasing the Expos (I'm the Mets), but I've got plenty left to catch them.

I've changed my mind once again and will, in fact, do a Negro League team as well as an International Team to replace the Silver and Golden Era teams. I will include them with the final release including the minor leagues/free agents (season mode). Will probably work on them tonight and maybe tomorrow...

While I'm finishing things up, if anyone has anyone they'd like to use that didn't make a team, post them and I'll make them the best I can and include them in the next release. Someone already mentioned Johnny Roseboro, so I'll include him...

Real...though I am thinking about doing a fictional character team either for this game or the next...wouldn't take long to do, actually...what were you thinking?

Okay, they're finally in the Roster Vault, called simply All-Time 40Man Rosters. I hope everyone enjoys them as a lot of hard work went into it even though I still plan on doing some more starting in the morning. Joey, they're all yours, my friend.

I keep going back and forth on the Negro Leagues and International Teams. On one hand, I doubt I'd ever use them for anything as my main focus has been on playing a season in that mode. There aren't really many concrete stats to work from and I can't guarantee they'd be accurate. On the other, it would be nice from a historic standpoint to acknowledge other leagues and countries in the game.

I can either A) complete those teams as I originally planned or B) have 80 more free agents for the season...

                                What do you guys think?
