For some reason I couldn't find pitcher Kevin Brown from the Dodgers. Say, wasn't 2000 the year where Rickey Henderson and Bonilla playing cards in the dugout, or was it 1999?

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
I'm working on an injury schedule for this set.
It's by no means comprehensive or exact. I'm going through each team and noting starters(the top 8/DH position players noted on baseball reference)..and finding guys with less than 130 games played. ....I'm then going to the batting order page to see where they might have missed large chunks of time.
I'm listing...
Player-date to date(missing)-approximate games missed
If it was multiple times...I listed those times.
In some cases it will just be
Player A missed 60 games...at various times....4 15 day injuries(or something to that effect)...this was guys who would be out of the lineup 2 or 3 days every week or so)
I should have this done tomorrow. I'm just tinkering as I do the Classic set.
Just a little more to make this even more realistic.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
I was watching MLB Network today and they had highlights of the 2000 World Series on. Man, for a 5-game series, it was so intense, or at least it felt that way to me since I had a rooting interest and grew up in NY so all my friends/family were fans of one of the 2 teams. I don't know how it translated outside of NY, but it consumed me back then.
I swear every time I see Piazza hit that fly to center in Game 5 I think it's going out. He crushed that ball and yet it stayed in the park.
I totally forgot about Leiter throwing close to 150 PITCHES in Game 5! Man, that was crazy!
Mets definitely let a couple of games get away from them. The series should've at least went back to Yankee Stadium.
OK, back to the game ... looking forward to trying 30-team control. I am intimidated by it, but I think if I just dive in, take my time and study, I'll get the hang of things and be OK.Currently Playing:

I actually was just using this set and hit my longest HR ever in this game, a 466 foot BLAST with Jeff Kent! In real life I hated Jeff Kent but that shot made me like him 2% more.Comment

Knight, when you get around to making Brown, can you post his stance and wind up for people who started franchise already?Comment

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
I know how it happened.
When I started the 2000 set...I cleared my internet history and used baseball reference as my "guide" to players...both needing to be edited and edited already. My indicator that I already created someone was his name going from black to red if I clicked on them for their history. It was an easy way to see on the roster page if I finished someone or not.
In doing the classic set in tandem with this one....I created the '97 Florida Marlins. Front and center for them?...Kevin Brown. I must have saw his name already red...and thought I created him on another team and he got traded to L.A. mid 2000 season.
Live and learn!

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
As someone who is planning on running with the Giants, I may have to just use your First Final and not your Final Final.
Just kidding, I'm going to use the revised set (as far as you know:wink.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
Warning!
This is not a comprehensive injury list....this is not an exact injury list.
They are for the "main" guys...and I went through the seasons batting orders to find chunks of games not started to figure these out.
This in combo with the transactions page should really help round out the season.
I will also be posting each teams "15 players" to add to the 40 man once you get into the regular season(can be just about any time after ST)
