Re: Fictional Rosters
I'll be using this as a base and creating a Ken Griffey Jr/classic baseball game inspired roster. I will be working on it this week and next Monday. I'm hoping to have it out right around Memorial Day weekend...if not sooner.
If anyone has guys they want in the game from classic games or Ken Griffey Jr Baseball..post them here and give me:
Name:
Team they were on in the old game:
Position:
I have a lot of names already and the rosters are taking shape. Just want to make sure I don't miss anyone.Comment

Re: Fictional Rosters
I think the file is now in the Roster Vault under the title "OSFictional V.1". I searched for it after uploading and couldn't find it, but maybe it takes a bit before it appears in the list. I'm not sure.
I listed it as a "Fantasy" roster and my PS3 handle/author name is "Diogenes2000".
So, download it and say nice things! Thanks!Comment

Now that the most of the scaffolding is done, I look forward to your aesthetic improvements!
Good luck with the project!

Re: Fictional Rosters
For some reason that doesn't seem to have worked. I asked Sluggbugg to give it a try. Maybe somethings wrong with my account or something. Not sure.Comment

Re: Fictional Rosters
SluggBugg said he got it to work! Great!
So, it's called: "OSFictional V1". The owner is "SluggBugg". Under type, it's a "fantasy" roster.
Thanks SluggBugg!Comment

Re: Fictional Rosters
It's the least I could do. No seriously, compared to the hours of imputing letters and numbers off that damn spreadsheet into this damn game that this project cost me, it really is the least I could do. lol
I've enjoyed it, but I'm glad its done.
Or is it......
*gotta leave'em wanting more*Comment

Re: Fictional Rosters
I'll most likely do the 9 starting position players, the starting rotations and the closers of each team with themed names. Somewhere around there.
I have the Cubs, White Sox, Red Sox, and Nats done.Comment

Watching Big Magoo and the White Sox battle Rebel Ruiz and the Cubs.
Goose Brewer(Cubs) vs Moses Braun(WS) is the pitching matchup.Last edited by BoSoxPujols; 05-16-2011, 08:07 AM.Comment

Re: Fictional Rosters
I study philosophy, which in some respects is just another way to study language, the language of a particular set of texts. But I'm hopping off the academic merry-go-round (just as soon as I finish the Masters) and getting a teaching license because I'm hoping to spend more time with family and hobbies, such as baseball!
Thanks for the kind words.Comment

Re: Fictional Rosters
A huge thank you to all involved. In some ways this has really changed the game for me. For the first time I am actually playing spring training games, imagine that, to get an idea of who will make the 25. Adding the personal touches to the players is almost as much fun as playing.
Excellent idea and awesome job.Comment
