Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
A couple of things...
The player packs....will be for guys to add players on their own....this is in the case that they have already started to make changes to whichever version they downloaded already and don't want to start again....so you can import them yourselves.
The player packs will be separate downloads from the set.
I did not incorporate any players listed in the Player Pack 1 reference into v4....they will be later this week.
Is the Opening Day set this weekend?...doubtful, but not entirely out of the question. I'm at work this weekend so I can't guarantee anything can actually get done.
What's the difference between ST v4 and Opening Day? Not much really...all the players will be the same...maybe a few changes....the biggest difference is going to be in the minor league players being in the proper levels(as good as we can get them)...and also I'll be double checking the 40 man/Active rosters and the lineups/rotations.
You will have to do the same things for lineups...on any roster. It's the game logic....
Injured players in the minors?....Injure them manually and when the time comes.....the CPU will most likely call them up. For instance...Johan Santana.....if you give him a 70 day injury....when he comes off the DL....he will get put on the MLB squad and someone will be sent down.
If it was say a guy who isn't one of the top 5 pitchers in the system....it's not likely going to happen like that. You have to make it work a little if you really need those players at the MLB level...either put them there beforehand...or promote them.
The CPU will not promote them if it's not forced to make a choice...like the player coming off the DL.
M.K.

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
If anyone is interested, I uploaded a 25-man set for OSFM v4.
My PSN is MeyekeStepheno. It's called OSFM v4 25man.
I re-ordered a handful of rotations and lineups.
It should be current as of 4/1.
With lineups I had to use my best judgement with vs. LHP and inter-league.
Everything should be fairly accurate.
Check it out on SportsConnect.Take one pass it on

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
knight, i followed your instructions for controlling 30 teams. i did options 2 and 3. now everything was going good until a couple of weeks into the season when the cpu started to mess with the lineups again, in particular the yankees. for whatever reason, they keep putting cano second and jeter anywhere from 5th to last. i noticed this when i made a couple of changes to the roster. i fixed ryan howard and marquisis to LH. so i am wondering if when you makes changes, no matter how minor they are, could that induce the cpu to being whacky again. thanks for all your contribution and tips.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
So if you do the option where you take the 25 man roster, you have to go into every team and add 15 players correct???The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Knight-
A couple of changes for the Twins. First basemen Erik Lis and Whitney Robbins are no longer with the organization. They could probably both be replaced with IF Chase Lambin and IF Matt Brown. Both will start the year in Triple-A. Also, Chris Province is no longer in the organization. You could replace him with RP Brett Jacobson. He was the other player in the JJ Hardy trade with Baltimore this off-season. He will start the year in Double-A.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
If there is an injury to someone on the major league club, then you have to go in and put a player into that spot in the lineup. If you do not do that before the next game, then the CPU will automatically place someone in that spot and jumble the lineup again to what they think is right. Remember, this is just a game!!
Thanks Knight and Co. Please continue to release notes for changes in future versions so I can continue to update my franchise.Last edited by Geebo; 04-02-2011, 08:52 PM.Essential Rosters for 2K11

Re: MLB 11 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2011 (Spring Training Version)
Your half right, but the CPU will never change the lineups automatically. They will tell you so and so's lineup is invalid and give you options to auto fix or not. Never autofix! Just go into that teams lineup and add a player to the lineup. The key is never autofix any lineups and you should be fine.
My apologies for the double post, I'm on my phone pain on the *** to edit.
