I think the one we got in the file is better IMO, we just gotta change the skin tone and hair color.

          OK, back on the horse.

found a great Iwakuma in the vault w/a C potential.... replaced the one in the roster.

Put in accurate pitch speeds, but I couldn't help but notice this line from 4/26/11...

          9 innings, 147 pitches, 5 hits, 13 K's, 3 BB's, 0 ER.

That's almost as ridiculous as the line edwin jackson had in his no hitter a couple yrs ago lol.

OK, since the file that I was working on is now by-by The excel file I was working on is pretty much useless. But since it sounds like Apostle wants to put some work in, and if sean wants to keep pitching in I think we can have this wrapped up by Sunday. (jeshua you still wanna pitch-in?)

Here's a googledoc of the M's system as I see it for the file. I'll be updating it through the night, so during the day if someone wants to work on it just post on here to let everyone know you're working and post the file when ur done.

Tab #1: Org Depth chart, by level. Not true to real life but it's close enough for government work

Tab #2: To-do List. Will be filled out later, still waiting on cuts to see who needs to be added.

Tab #3: Players that need to be added.

Tonight I'll be recreating a few guys, D potentials don't progress (almost at all), and moving them to C's. If the player projects as an org guy Limonta, Poythress, etc. I'm keeping them at D.

                Faces can be too, lol.

There's a Pimentel in the vault and I can't tell if its better than the one in the roster already. It looks just like his MiLB profile pic, but nothing like the in game pics that I used as a reference. Not sure if its the braces or what. Not sure which one to use either.

lol I think that one is mine my PSN is the same as my username, and I think there is only one pimentel posted in the vault

Are you using pics from 4Seam images? In some pictures he has a really pronounced nose bump, and in others his nose is pretty straight, honestly no two pictures of him look the same, especially the more recent ones compared to the ones when he first signed

Yea, that was the only place I could find him. Kinda crazy for such a high profile signee.

The craziest one was Victor Sanchez, I had to go to Venezuelan websites to find him.

What's the most recent file called on PSN? R&S, I get home from work at around 11 PM PST... By midnight, I should be able to put an hour or two of work on the rosters... It's no one's fault at all but I feel like we're just a bit disorganized right now, and it would go more smooth if we had communication going between everyone on the file through PM... Just a suggestion, as I am kind of lost on where we are, but I'm eager to help.

                        Re: 2012 OSFM: Seattle Mariners

Yea, basically I had an 80% done file last night but my stupid PS3 locked up as I was accessing the vault to upload the file. So were back to about 50% FML.

I still gotta remake Jabari Blash and James Jones as C potentials. I'm working on Noriega now, then I'll upload and call it a night.

Apostle I'm available to work on the file from 6pm on tomorrow so I'll probably be working on it before you then. But if ratings is ur thing (i'm not sure, i just know it aint faces) go ahead. although i'm confident on catricala, not anybody else though. just remember that knights spreadsheets are years away from peak performance. As a rule of thumb, 28 for college guys, 27 for high school, and 26 for IFA/latin guys. Give or take based on the type of prospect.

I imported a nice Walker from the vault but had to mod the curveball. (some say its two plane others say 12-6, ive seen a 12-6. We might wanna add a 2 seamer or cutter as a 4th pitch)

Sounds good. Maybe you could shoot me a PM with the name of the file that you upload tonight and I can maybe get a bit done before bed.

I can do ratings, and maybe even some equipment. I can try with faces, but others here do very good work. I know that I am going to sound like a noob but what did you mean when you said "28 for college, 27 for high school and 26 for IFA's?" I am sure it's something obvious, but I am confused.

Just realized that might not have made sense. So I'll try to be blunt & straight forward.

Hold off on adding new guys till the weekend when cuts happen.

If you do ratings you've got two options...

Based off the spreadsheet, do the ratings for guys that don't have x marks in the sheet. If you do this post which guys you edit and i'll update the sheet.

Option two is to double check the ratings on entire position groups. This involves cross-referencing LHP & RHP splits, it's a boring job but at least me, and someone else is gonna have to look at each player (yes, two guys double checking every player) to ensure quality. We do want to have the best set after all right?

Anyways I just uploaded the file as "PS3 LOCKUP" its a fantasy file.

Equipment is my thing, so hold off on that. Faces if you're not great (I'm avg, so it takes 30+ min) can do more harm than good.

But I'd recommend you do ratings, and make sure that player info is correct. Use the players MiLB profile as a ref. BA, PI handbook, BP, everywhere else seems to still be using 2011 height/weight.

For the college/HS/IFA question. I use that as the baseline age for their peak year when determining which numbers to use on knights scale. The survivor stuff is technical and kinda boring to explain but this is an example across MLB as the aging curve.

I'm pretty sure he means prime performance, since Knight's chart goes by number of years away from when you think the player will be at their best, not when they debut - I think the best example for this would be Felix, it took 4 years of MLB experience for him to become Elite, overall it took him 6 years

                                Edit:
Run, did that Walker you download have a sinker? Lol if it did that's mine too, I couldn't stand that the top rated Walker looked absolutely nothing like him
