Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012
Working on Pirates face edits now. Once I get 5 players done I'll post pics in the OSFM: Pirates thread and repeat every five players to get feedback."I am more valuable to my team hitting .330 than swinging for home runs." - Roberto Clemente

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012
So Mike, you want me to put all the prospects on BAL all levels? Isnt that only 90 players? When I am done with this do you want me to up it to the vault?
Considering a handful of prospects are SCEA players, I am going to add some players just outside of the top 100.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012
So I ran some tests to see how Yoesnis Cespedes worked out. His line at the end of the season was something like .285, 20 HRs, 80 RBIs, 18 Steals, 5 CS. And like a .980 Fielding percentage. He played a 140 games and had about 450 at bats.
How does this sound for Cespedes? Does he need to be juiced or scaled back? He progressed nicely too. Gonna run a year 2 test to see what happens. But I'm gonna make a handful of other players before I do.Last edited by juicer420; 03-07-2012, 12:52 PM.Comment

For Year 1, I think something similar to B.J. Upton 2010 is about where he'll end up assuming he plays all year - .237/.322/.424, 382B, 18HR, 64RBI. SB in the 18-25 range sounds logical. Year 2 should be much better for him.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012
Hey Knight,
Can I suggest on your Google Docs freezing the top 2 rows and the first column. That way when we move the spreadsheet we don't get lost at what we're looking at.
Also, I'm trying my best to understand the process to the rating system. I don't know what is supposed to lead to what. I understand the "Years away" scale, but how does that correlate to your MLB Rating? I feel kinda silly asking, but is there a way you could step it out with an example player?
Thank you sir!Last edited by moose616; 03-07-2012, 01:44 PM.Moose

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012
I'm new to the forum, but I just wanted to thank everyone working on this for maybe the coolest thing ever. I've played around with adding a few MILB players in past games, but found it incredibly time consuming doing it just on my own. Thanks again for everyone's hard work.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012
Hey everyone. Got the game yesterday and was looking through the Angels roster and there was no Jerome Williams. He played last year and he has a shot of becoming the 5 starter this year. Just letting you guys know so you don't forget him.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2012
Let me know!
Thanks.
I think I know the answer to this but I figured it was worth a ask. These edits DO NOT include ratings, and equipment edits correct? I mean it would be amazing if they were included but I just wanted to make sure which it is.
This is more for the major league players not the minor league players.
Dear Knight,
I have a simple question which probably has already been answered so I apologize if this is a duplication.
Last year when we created players we sent the player files to Ridin who added them to the Master Roster. Will we be following the same procedure this year? What is your preference? Please let me know.
Thank you.
Karle

The years away is how many years you think it will take the player to reach his max (stats). You find that stat...follow it down to the years away. You can "mix and match" if you need. (If you think he'll hit for good avg. right away, but take more time to develop power for instance)
Those top #'s are what you would give if you were creating an MLB player to produce those stats.(thereabouts)
