Just a quick question. Will the pitcher edits in this year's roster adjust pitcher's ratings or will the actual arsenals of pitcher's be adjusted based on information we can find?

I'm still worried about the 2seam/cutter/Running FB debacle from a few year's back where the 4seam FBs of nearly every pitcher were removed.

For MLB players?
If you saw that...you used Razr's updated roster with pitch edits. There was a stock roster set released before that with no edits to any MLB player.

Are single-A teams playable now, or is it the same as years prior?

No playable single A

Since the AAA and AA schedules dont start untill a few days after MLB opening day, will there be an update shortly after the Opening Day OSFM? With updated AAA and AA rosters/lineups.

We could. I always say I will and get caught up in playing and editing historical rosters.

Any chance you guys can or will release a roster with the top 100 prospects or something like that for impatient people,like myself, who cant wait a month for the osfm?

Negative. I'm an all or nothing guy on this as people will download the 100 or so that we edited....add their own few and ...well you get the picture.
For those that don't know...I always throw in a "secret" player in my sets that will signify with certainty that it is a set that I had a hand in editing.
My little insurance policy.
I don't mind if guys use our work...but for those that don't credit...I find that obnoxious. It happens.

I've searched high and low on these forums for an answer to this so I'm hoping you can help me with this Knight. You seem like the respected one around here so I appreciate any answer you can give a new guy to these forums.

Huge Mariners fan and I've noticed that our top 4 prospects...Danny Hultzen, James Paxton, Taijuan Walker and Nick Franklin...aren't in the game. All 4 of them are in the top 75 prospects in baseball.

Any chance we will see you guys put them in the game...with real pictures?

Players can't be in the game until they've played an inning of baseball in the major leagues. And once they are added, they will have the generated pictures, not real picture.

Actually, to be in MLB12 they had to play in the Majors in 2011. If they did not play in the majors in 2011, but did play in the majors in 2010 or before, they are still not included.

Editing age also resets the Rule V time.(making a 26 y.o. into an 18 y.o.....keeps him from being eligible for the Rule V)

My plan with the M's is to give Hultzen and Paxton A- potentials and nerf them a bit (compared to what near MLB ready prospects have been in the past) so that they take a big step forward in the offseason.

Lastly, I've got an updated version of the prospect spreadsheet I sent you earlier. Do you want me to email to you? or anybody else?

Hey Guys! Just checkin for the first time. I've been super busy lately but I am planning on grabbing the game at midnight tomorrow. How can I help? Knight, RunandShoot etc, if you guys want to discuss in here or PM me, let me know. Also, has someone contacted ImBaconBeckham cuz he was HUGE on entering the batting stances/pitching motions for the OSFM last year so that we didn't all have to do it ourselves. I know some people might have disagreed w/ his choices but IMO it was better to have every player in the league have something other than a Generic 1 and we also had a nice list of alternatives in case someone wanted to change a guy that he didn't agree with.

Anyways, I'm here to help as much as I can. I haven't seen or played anything like the demo and of course for the second year in a row I wasn't invited to help with the testing of the game that some of you guys got to go to despite helping SCEA last year with some of the things in the game so I'm dying to check it out.

Haha, lucky you. I've been super busy too and will be till the 13th. (graduation!!!! )

Not that it really matters (at least for this project), I'll still have time to do the M's roster for v1 and will be free to do my equipment edits for v4 (or what ever it version they go in). Yea I'm super pumped about all the new equipment they've added this yr as you might expect!!!!

Not sure what beckham's status is, I know he put a ton of work into the stances last yr, not sure if hes up for it (or available) again. I'll try do dig up his email address and hit him up.

Don't get me mixed up with the cool kids. I didn't get an invite neither, not that I would expect one. I'm just an equipment fetishist. Although combined with playing the full 162 gms with day-to-day transactions probably is enough to throw me into a looney bin.

I just cleaned out my PM box and hit me up there, if something comes up and I think u have my email addy (but if its the gmail one dont bother, i got rid of it when i switched to the apple phone)

Well for you I've got two. I got one with rankings for all minors prospects, its more of a macro level view for the bosses (knight, ridin, strut, ksig, etc.) to make sure there isn't too much homerism going on. The second is for just the M's, it's like the one I've got in the M's thread but with alot more rankings and info. I believe it's got a couple hundred players in it of which I've gotta trim down to 90.

As far as I know...ksig and Jason19 are still going to be on them.
If not...they will "fall" to the guys on each team.
Either way...Aroid will do the faces.

I apologize if I created any confusion, but - to clarify - I never agreed to help with the ratings for top 100 after I decided to not help with ratings. I already talked about this with K and he said he would get someone else.

I always want to help out with the OSFM set, but when I think about how so many people seem to like everything so scaled back and as close to the default rosters as possible, I think that my help would just cause more unnecessary debates than it's worth. Everyone feels differently about players. I'm pretty sure that most people wouldn't agree with my ratings at the start of the season.

If anyone needs any help, advice or opinions on any players, feel free to contact me.
