Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)
First off, I want to say thank you so much to all of you working on this project. The faces posted are absolutely phenomenal !!!! I'm loving playing my season with Knights / Ridin's rosters, but, I'm looking forward to these ones even more. You guys are amazing, and your work is so greatly appreciated.
Now, I wanted to state some opinions on the Pirates roster:
Bill Madlock is the 2nd best Pirates 3rd baseman of all-time, in my opinion. (Other than Pie Traynor) I'd have the 3rd baseman as follows: 1. Traynor 2. Madlock 3. Richie Hebner 4. Dick Hoak 5. Tommy Leach
I'd have Lloyd Waner as the starter in CF.
For what it's worth, here would be my roster:
1 - C - Jason Kendall
2 - 1B - Willie Stargell
3 - 2B - Bill Mazeroski
4 - 3B - Pie Traynor
5 - SS - Honus Wagner
6 - LF - Ralph Kiner
7 - CF - Lloyd Waner
8 - RF - Roberto Clemente
9 - SP - Harvey Haddix
10 - SP - Vern Law
11 - SP - John Candelaria
12 - SP - Bob Friend
13 - SP - Doug Drabek
14 - CL - Kent Tekulve
15 - RP - Elroy Face
16 - RP - Dave Giusti
17 - RP - Stan Belinda
18 - RP - Grant Jackson
19 - RP - Al McBean
20 - C - Jason Kendall
21 - 1B - Dick Stuart
22 - 2B - Rennie Stennett
23 - 3B - Bill Madlock
24 - SS - Dick Groat
25 - LF - Max Carey
26 - CF - Andy Van Slyke
27 - RF - Paul Waner
28 - SP - Steve Blass
29 - SP - Wilbur Cooper
30 - SP - Steve Blass
31 - SP - Bob Veale
32 - SP - Deacon Phillippe
33 - CF - Bill Virdon
34 - RF - Dave Parker
35 - CF - Omar Moreno
36 - 3B - Richie Hebner
37 - C - Smokey Burgess
38 - C - Tony Pena
39 - 3B - Don Hoak
40 - RF - Bobby Bonilla
Just my opinion, and this is assuming that Bonds (SF) & Jay Bell (ARI) are on other teams. I'm, of course, happy with whatever you guys come up with, and your Pirates is pretty good, I just wanted to give my opinion. Thanks again.Comment

Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)
Will the ratings be based on each player's best season, or off their career?
For example, one year Bonds hit for an alright average and a ton of home runs.
Another year he hit for a high average with a good amount of home runs.
Then early in his career he hit for a good average with a decent amount of home runs, plus a lot of steals.Comment

Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)
This is a post from early in the thread about ratings...
I am going to dive pretty deeply into the ratings when I get a chance... I am going to try and scale the entire league so everyone isn't full bar overall like. I will also end up balancing the one year wonders with their career stats...
I would just rate them as you would if it was an average of their top 3 seasons, and then I will scale it accordingly.
So glad we will be working together on this again pj!Comment

Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)
odd fun fact
Felix Rodriguez, as a set up man, in 2001, received some votes for the NL MVP
and actually had more votes then Larry Walker, Vladimir Guerrero and a few others that year.

(some bonehead(s) went through and disliked almost all of mine)
strange how the vault rating system works, really wish it had previews of the faces, would make it a lot easier.~~~~~~~~~
