Not like they weren't cartoonish to begin with or anything...

Big fan of your files, guys. Glad to finally be on OS. As I start my Washington Senators roster, I may take a stab at creating Frank Howard, assuming no one else has.

Whoops, spoke too soon. Saw he'd already been created. Rookie mistake.

I might be jumping the gun on this a little bit, but I have to believe that Matt Kemp should be on the Dodgers team. I think you could even make a case for him to be a starter on the team.

considering that he had the greatest single offensive season in Dodgers history, i would have to agree with you.

also on the diamondbacks, Spivey, Daal and Counsell are up in the vault.

bump Furillo or Davis for Kemp, easily so what if you have to move him to a corner

one thing for the Dodgers.. are we going to add Rick Monday (1st #1 pick ever and the "flag hero")? if so i have a really solid version of him from last year that i can re-create.

I'd really like to see Randy Johnson moved to the Diamondbacks
yea he played less years there vs Seattle (8 vs 10)
but in seattle he had ONE Cy Young, and 5 all star appearances

in arizona he had 4 consecutive cy youngs, 4 all star games, and a world series mvp and for 5 years garnered mvp votes

kinda bugs me that the greatest pitcher in arizona sports history isnt on the team

              http://www.baseball-reference.com/pl...ohnsra05.shtml

his career highs in wins, innings, strikeouts and compete games all were with arizona

he was a better player w/ arizona then he was w/ seattle, the numbers dont lie,

also, i'd think this is a superior version of randy for the file then the current one on the roster

              (yea i made it)

and now i'll end my big unit rant . lol

bedwardsroy can you please share with us what method you used for generating player ratings? I found them to be pretty accurate and want to use the same method for my mlb 12 rosters

considering how many diamondbacks you release on a daily basis this is a pretty unbiased opinion....lol just kidding bro

You can def. make the case either way but I'd have to lean toward the Mariners just because it kinda feels like thats where he made a name for himself...but yea he won WS with Arizona so its def. a good argument. Ive got him on Seattle on my roster personally but you could go either way.

yea he made the name, but he was the most dominant pitcher in baseball in his time in arizona.. cant say the same for seattle.

seattle was young wild scary randy

arizona was wily precise scary randy lol

Just a few of small problems with the Twins:
-There is absolutely no way anybody plays 1st other than the Killer. I love Morneau and Hrbek, but Killebrew belongs at 1st base, and nowhere else. Subsequently, Gary Gaetti should be the 3rd baseman.
-I don't know if this is just the way it was typed in or whatever, but Rick Aguilera was, until last year, the only guy with more saves as a Twin than Joe Nathan. I don't see how he can be the 40th man.
                        -Juan Rincon? Really?
                        Minnesota Twins
                        Texas Tech Red Raiders
                        Minnesota Vikings
                        Dallas Stars
                        Dallas Mavericks
                        Norwich City F.C.
                        Washington State Cougars

                          Killebrew's best years were '62-'63, '66-'67, then '69-70

                          He played:

                          353 games at 3B
                          314 games at 1B
                          306 games in the OF

So, umm, stats don't lie. He was a jack of all trades, but a master at none when it came to fielding. It's not like he was a nasty defender at any position.

Now, I wanted to state some opinions on the Pirates roster:

Bill Madlock is the 2nd best Pirates 3rd baseman of all-time, in my opinion. (Other than Pie Traynor) I'd have the 3rd baseman as follows: 1. Traynor 2. Madlock 3. Richie Hebner 4. Dick Hoak 5. Tommy Leach

I'd have Lloyd Waner as the starter in CF.

For what it's worth, here would be my roster:

                            1 - C - Jason Kendall
                            2 - 1B - Willie Stargell
                            3 - 2B - Bill Mazeroski
                            4 - 3B - Pie Traynor
                            5 - SS - Honus Wagner
                            6 - LF - Ralph Kiner
                            7 - CF - Lloyd Waner
                            8 - RF - Roberto Clemente
                            9 - SP - Harvey Haddix
                            10 - SP - Vern Law
                            11 - SP - John Candelaria
                            12 - SP - Bob Friend
                            13 - SP - Doug Drabek
                            14 - CL - Kent Tekulve
                            15 - RP - Elroy Face

                            23 - 3B - Bill Madlock
                            24 - SS - Dick Groat

                            34 - RF - Dave Parker
                            35 - CF - Omar Moreno
                            36 - 3B - Richie Hebner

                            40 - RF - Bobby Bonilla

Just my opinion, and this is assuming that Bonds (SF) & Jay Bell (ARI) are on other teams. I'm, of course, happy with whatever you guys come up with, and your Pirates is pretty good, I just wanted to give my opinion. Thanks again.
Any other Pirate fans want to chime in ? I do think they have a few things wrong, in my opinion, on the Buccos roster. Any other opinions ?
