I'm not sure how Emaus ended that high, he was project to hit .257 pre-season and looking at his Fangraphs page shows me he is rated a 33 overall defensively.
Yeah, i'm not sure why it turned out like that either...

Well I'm using Bahnzo's formulas. Just search and you'll find TripleThreat's thread in this forum...

You used Rascoc's ratings printout for defense right? They're might be a typo or something lol

Yeah, no typo or anything. Believe me, I entered them in like 4-5 times. I was like wtf is going on.

I do suggest that for Clutch, you should use =70+((RC-68)/5) where RC=runs created. For pitchers, it's pretty much the same, except =70+(H/9+HR/9+SO/9+BB/9))/5

                The top people are:
                Votto - 81
                Cabrera - 77
                Wright - 76
                Fielder - 76
                Konerko - 75
                Melky - 75

Would it be possible for you to list some of the other formulas? I think it would benefit all of us as it would make the editing fly by a ton faster. Using fangraphs I could get it done in no time.

I would do it myself but am out with my wife at a concert right now. If they get posted, I can probably edit it and post it when I get home. I can do the drop down box and everything. I will also edit the formulas you listed. I like it.

Ok I'll wait for his updates then try them out. Once again, I appreciate all the hard work he's done and I myself could never do this but some of the ratings were a little too screwy for me as of now. Keep up the good work though!

Re: Scott's OSFM ZiPS Re-rated Rosters

I know some people are concerned about some of the ratings and rightfully so as some players are really off. But as Scott said he didn't make these projections just put them in so let's give him his due credit. I have went through and done about 5 hours of editing to some players and making the rosters 40 man rosters and I'm fairly content with what I did. That being said I always trust other people to making rosters as sometimes I think I am biased a little bit towards certain players and my favorite team. With that in mind I am psyched for the new ones you are now working on (do you ever take a break Scott? LOL)

Anyway I have a few questions about the ones currently being worked on I was hoping Scott or anybody could answer?

                      1. Will they be on updated projections, current stats, stats from 2010-2012 or a little of all?
                      2. Will they fix some of the problems with ratings we are seeing because obviously the projections were way off on players like Kershaw, Wright, Jeter, Etc.
                      3. Any ETA on these at all?
                      4. Will minor leaguers be edited at all or just the ones that have mlb service time, thus projections?

If someone could answer these questions I would greatly appreciate it.

The ones I'm using for the pitchers are ZiPS (U) which are updated stats through the rest of the season. An ETA will probably be 1-2 weeks. Minor leaguers will be edited too...

Will position players be ZIPS U as well? And are we talking all minor leaguers?

                            LMFAO!

At a concert with his wife and he has the dedication to check OS for updates on rosters.

That's a true Show fan right there, boys.

                            Bada**.

Not being sarcastic, either... Right on.

Scott, or anyone with knowledge on how to use the calculator, when you get a chance can you please figure out fielding numbers for Hanley Ramirez based just off projections for this season. He is playing 3rd base this year and I think he is 2nd in fielding percentage. He has only had 2 errors. In the ratings it has his arm accuracy so low. I actually think he is better at 3rd than ss for sure. I love these edits and appreciate the time you have put in, any help is appreciated, thank you.

They really don't have rest of season projections for fielding, all they have are the numbers from last year.. That's one of the hardest things to calculate also.

Just a little update, I've finished calculating pitching #'s, look real good and they've already been inputted, only took about two hours.

Now I'm about to start inputting new clutch ratings for hitters.
