Great job Scott. Can't wait to get started with these rosters. Two quick questions. Will your second update have 40 man rosters or are you leaving it at 25 man. Second ? is what RAZR asked...

I can put up a 40 man, will probably take me around 30-45 minutes...I've been using A&S Sliders since I use these with Classic pitching.

For anyone using pulse, Authentic's sliders work great since they were tailored for the pitch edits. I use a modified set of Nomo's CPU vs. CPU sliders, I believe I get realistic results when I play.

40 man roster would be greatly appreciated. Not everyone plays 30 team control. Thanks for all your work!

Is it a matter of finding the info or are you swamped? since you did an updated transactions roster, the team pages on MLB.com are better than MLB depth charts (If that's what you are using).

When updating minor league players I would take a look at Bubba Starling speed. He is listed at 54 but ranges up with the Uptons.

Fine line to tread here. Physical tools aren't static in this game so speed will progress with age. Additionally, if Starling's OVR becomes too high you will see minimal yearly progression since there will be a smaller gap to cover and many years to do it. Since the deal with Starling is that he is a very raw player, we can play up his physical tools at the sacrifice of baseball skill, so maybe contact in the 30's, power in the 50's, low vision, discipline and fielding ability in return for high speed and reaction? If he progresses +4 for 7 years, that gives him 50-60 contact (.255-.265 avg), 70ish power (~30 HR's), and that's by his 3rd year in the bigs (hopefully). He will still progress until he's 31 as well.

I just did a 4 year sim just to check minor league ratings. Everything progressed except Speed.

Edit: Seems every player i kept notes on speed progressed except Starling.

Really strange... Did you have any of the speed training assigned to CF? Also, would you happen to know Starling's OVR?

Spectacular job Scott. This really should be the official OS Roster. It is the most complete file out there. Still needs some work as some of the ratings are a bit out of whack but overall, excellent job.

Re: Scott's OSFM ZiPS Re-rated Rosters

I did top players from last years draft and followed ratings. Simulated 3 seasons.

A potential players saw an increase of 5-6 for each contact and power rating. Plate vision went up 7-8 points.
Arm strength, accuracy and reaction, fielding ability up 6-7 points
Br ability and aggressiveness up 6 points.

So it seems each rating goes up 2 points per year

I have other data as well for B and C rating prospects. I'll post me later.
