I PRAISE this beyond belief. First thing I do with every roster is change the "socks" and "billcaps". To be honest, I kind of hate the fact that SD Studios gives all those ridiculous options without a chance to have a "universal" player editor.

One stupid function to set all socks to High or Stirrup, and then Hats to normal (or whatever it is called). One SIMPLE mass, overall, this is what I want ALL players to have function...my goodness, with all else they give people, why can't they do this.

I have wasted, literally, at least hundreds of hours, if not possible thousands by now editing socks and caps...for every player...every time I use a roster...EVERY BLOODY DAMNED TIME! Every one!

I used to do bats as well, take off pine tar, but I leave that now...too tired of it...though I do take pine tar off batting helmets...cute option but it looks horrid.

I don't play games unless all active players have "stirrup" or "high" socks, normal caps and "tar-less" helmets.

THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS. Honestly, I would love a private message when down, as I will download it on a 0.2 second delay from the moment of posting.

Personally, it is beyond my belief that this "sock" idiocy is allowed in REAL MLB baseball. How can those guys who played 20, 30, 40 years ago and are now coaches sit there and watch it and not complain. How can MLB not mandate it, these are baseball uniforms, not pajamas. Plus, it looks horrid, moronic and just plain dumb. I pray all the time that this "fad" is gone quite soon, and often get really scared it won't go away.

Plus, old-time (stirrup or high) socks look great...pajama pants look downright dumb, yet about 98% of players go with it. Are they that scared of standing out? They would stand out, but in a GOOD sense, while any others would slowly become the other ones who look bad in a MORONIC sense.

    I hate George Hendrick!!!

Sorry, Billy. I spoke too soon. I'm just doing the guys on my team, kind of like a club rule, like the Yankees and facial hair. My fantasy Yankees don't allow beards, long pants, giant elbow/leg guards or any other stupid crap. (Hats are normal or semi-flat and worn the RIGHT way.)

As a result, some players don't want to play for me (in my mind) and won't sign as free agents or have to be traded away.

I know, I'm spun but I like it!

Easy for me to say since I know this is a ton a ton of work. I would like it though but it is obviously up to you.

I do jest with you, though in a half-serious way...it is a ton of work, and of course you are not committed.

With that said, I will be your best friend until the Universe explodes (ie, forever) if you somehow found the energy do it.

If anyone from SD Studios happens to ever read this, can you guys please allow a "default" setting for players, or universal, so all socks can be set to be one way or be changed together...PLEASE. I, honestly, have lost at least hundreds of hours of my life doing this.

If people want change options, great, but if it could just be set as "stirrups" or a universal editor, it would avoid this (in my opinion) moronic pajama sock thing (which I cannot play with, and dislike so tremendously in real baseball during this terrible era of it).

              THANKS!!!

                    Re: 2013 OS FICTIONAL rosters

As previously mentioned I downloaded this roster and absolutely love it. It has brought an entirely new aspect of fun and excitement to baseball on the PS3. I HAVE to scout teams, I HAVE to pay attention to batters hot zones and pitchers tendencies. It is quite possibly the best add-on to any video game that I've ever used. I thought the realistic stadiums for High Heat 2001 were the top of the mountain, no way, this roster is it!

Anywho, I downloaded it, chose the Red Sox, and did an inagural draft. I ended up picking 3rd. Absolutely LOVE my team. Instead of going down a list and saying, "oh I need Longoria at 3B and Phillips at 2B," I actually had to research players. Do I need a lefty in the rotation? Should I go with potential over current ratings for my set-up man? Things like that, things an actual GM has to do, I realize this is a game and not based in reality, but it's fun, just for a second, to pretend you're John Hart or Dave Dombrowski.

I chose the Sox because, although I am a Yankees fan IRL, I love the auro surrounding the Red Sox and Fenway Park is America's Most Beloved Ballpark. This way I get to play in Fenway for 81 games, plus 3 series in the Bronx, Camden, and I actually like SkyDome/Rogers Centre. Ok, moving on to the lineup/rotation/notes:

                    POS NAME
                    2B Brady Orr
                    SS Malcolm Dawkins
                    CF Train Tankersley
                    1B Rex Parker
                    3B Hector Lujan
                    RF Boone Shelton
DH Marlon Parkinson (vs L)/Bubba Carmichael (vs R)
                    LF Harrison Sterling/Darren Williams (platoon)
                    C AJ Ramsey

                    Rotation:
                    Rafael Martinez
                    Victor Quinones
                    Samuel Cutler
                    Clyde Capellan
                    Maurice Sands

                    Closer - Nathan Worthing

I made a trade during Spring Training. I played about 12 games just to get a feel for more role players/bullpen and to be able to play in some of the classic ballparks! I sent LF Brad Smith to Houston for 1B Rex Parker and 2 other players. I was shocked that Houston would unload 3 players for an aging LF, but they said they were rebuilding so I said, OK. I initially had Carmichel at 1B, but he's so slow and he's up there in age as well. Most of my players can play multiple positions which is #1 on my list and #2 is switch hitters, I don't have a ton of switch hitters, but the ones I do have are in key spots in my lineup.

                    AWESOME!!!

Great post but beg to differ on the Fenway part.
Gotta go Wrigley on that one.

I think Fenway gets the nod, mainly because that's what it says on the sign in centerfield before 1st pitch, and in reality, Wrigley Field was built for a Federal League team. In either case both parks are special and hold the magic and mystery that current baseball has lost.

Thanks for the comment, take care!

well, thank you for these rosters. i usually enjoy the second season better of most franchises because the team is my set of guys by then. now i start that way.

i am starting with the dodgers. as a kid, i loved them. now i am a rays fan but i can build the dodgers the way i wanted to when i was young.

thanks again. this is going to be a lot of fun.

I am currently copying many of the best players from this fictional roster. I plan to create fictional rosters for 2014 The Show on my PS4 when it comes out using many of these same players aged 2 years. Would anybody be interested in aiding me with this? I understand that a ton of work goes into this so I'm getting started now. Let me know if anybody is willing to help!
I play sports games and spend way too much time making rosters.

I cant stand the implementation of latino players in these rosters. Not every latino's name is felix, martinez, enrique, de la rosa, hernandez, or some combination. A little variety please
