Really all that I have found is that the Tigers are happy to get Darwin Barney and Nate Schierholtz. I usually target RP Bruce Rondon and try to get another prospect or two in the deal.
After reading this article from Bleacher Report (I know how much some of you like B/R), I did some testing. The Tigers will accept:

    Tigers
    SP Jeff Thompson
    RP Bruce Rondon

for only Darwin Barney. Good trade all around, especially if you are like me and you actually play all the minor league games. Provides an almost major league ready AAA reliever(maybe closer) in Rondon and gives a high upside AA pitcher in Thompson.

Now I need to find a suitor for Schierholtz, I will try the Nats trade next time I am on, but I doubt they will take another RF for much of anything.

Quick question, is there anyway at all to get the audio for Mike olts name into the osfm rosters? I realize it's gonna happen later in a franchise but it's really annoying hearing #30 announced right out of the gate.

I was right, the Nationals want nothing to do with Schierholtz. Tigers still appear to want him though. Gonna shop around to see if I can get something realistic. Probably a pair of low 60's high 50's prospects.

His name isn't in the game at all.

            Re: Cubs 2014 OSFM

OK, I'm going to try and get the extra Cubs players' faces done by someone. I'll put up a file for them to work on with the extra players. Its just the base SCEA roster with the extra players so if you only want those with generic faces/possibly incorrect skin color, hair, etc. you can export/import those into the OSFM roster over whatever Cubs players you want. Its called Cubs Extras in the vault.

Hopefully if the faces can get done I'll post up the completed Cubs OSFM roster with all the edits mentioned in this thread so far and the extra Cubs players as well. It'll be based off of OSFM v2 so there will be errors associated with beards/hair styles for other teams. The Cubs should be fine though.

The final version will also have new faces made by itallfades for the OSFM players and a few SCEA ones which I feel are better than the ones in the official OSFM release. They may get incorporated in a future OSFM release. I imported all of them over from their roster file, which are just the OSFM players with new faces.

A few notes on these players

            - I rated them very favorably, they are all except one 70-76 potential and rated fairly high I feel. Since these aren't part of OSFM official I thought I'd rate them a bit favorably since if people want to use these players they obviously like them so they should be at least somewhat useful. None of them are top prospects, but they do project to be useful players.

            - Moreno is 17 years old (along with Torres and Jimenez) so you need to drop him one year in age after year one of franchise. They'll be a year older in RTTS or online franchise.
            - pitchers like with OSFM have their pitch ratings dropped a bit since they will progress so their stuff is a big less than their current stuff.
            - equipment and stances/deliveries are done for these as well
            - faces are generic with slightly edited skin color

Let me know if I forgot to import anyone into this roster file or if there are any errors with player info, etc.

            List of extra players included

Are the core 4 included in OSFM OD v1 roster? I can only find Soler. As a Cub Fan eventhough we won today (Great game by Jackson of all people) we need to have this guys available in the game in order for us to have some fun. Can someone tell me or point me to the right directions and tell me/show me where this rosters (including them) are available? I am looking to download them offline as I am not able to go the vault, Could someone show me or pm them to me? Thanks in advance and GO CUBBIES 2015

The "core 4" are included in this roster. Go back a few pages and MrOldBoy listed all the players that are on the roster. If you need an offline file, read through the OSFM page, I'm sure someone posted it there.

Thanks a bunch Figment for that quick reply. So would the be available for both franchise mode & season as well? Looking for MrOldBoy's post and the offline roster right now. Once again, thanks!!!

I did see an offline file posted somewhere for OSFM.

I am still trying to get faces done for the extra players. At this point I'm sure you guys who wanted the extra players just went with the ones with generic faces, but if they do get done I'll put them in a roster. I was hoping to also do some edits to SCEA players like stances, equipment for that roster. Hopefully I have some time to do so since I want them done for myself to use in franchise.

Has anyone noticed players that they can just play particularly well with or players you simply can't hit anything with at any of the levels.

With OF Rubi Silva at AA I am currently hitting .476 with 2 HRs in the leadoff spot with 4 stolen bases. I am only at April 7th on this season, but he will be playing AAA shortly.

3B Jeimer Candelario keeps coming in as a PH for me and manages to do nothing, but get on base. Same thing with the last season I was playing before I started over. I have him at AA as well.

My entire AAA team is hitting great, mostly high OBP but not huge home run numbers. I only have 5 HRs on the entire team so far and 9 on my AA team so far.

In the MLB I can't hit a thing with Anthony Rizzo. I can't hit power, I can't get on base, nothing. At first I was using the power button, but after I stopped getting anything I just started trying to get on base and I can't.

Justin Ruggiano has turned out to be a beast for my MLB team. He leads my team in HRs with 5. I use him mostly against lefties, but has seen many at bats against righties too. I have him in my #2 hole after Bonifacio. I only have 9 HRs on this team as well so he has accounted for more than half of my home runs.

                        What are your favorite players?

I usually only play with the Cubs to begin the season and later on start playing with AA and AAA. So far Castro and Lake are my best hitters. Both are above .300 and surprisingly Barney is around .280. I also can't get anything going with Rizzo, Castillo, or Scherhoiltz. Ryan Sweeney is by far my best bat off the bench. I only have about 13 homers so far, with Bonofiacio leading the team with 3.

I already traded away Schierholtz and Barney. I have Ryan Sweeney (vs RHP) and Justin Ruggiano (vs LHP) platooning in right field, and Bonifacio and Lake as my everyday Center and Left Fielder respectively. Sweeney is batting .333 against righties for me (he has very few at bats vs lefties) and Ruggiano is .667 vs righties and .500 vs lefties, he may soon become an everyday right fielder for me. His power is great though especially against lefties.
I just called Baez up to the majors and in his first game he hit a walk off home run against the Pirates, he also has amazing power.
I have Kris Bryant down in AA right now and he is almost hard to not hit home runs with when you make good contact. He will be in AAA once I get to 10 HRs with him. I'm trying to be a little realistic with the player movements.
The one thing I am having tons of trouble with is all the pitchers with the Running Fastball as their primary pitch. I simply cannot use it. I can use it just fine with pitchers who have it as a secondary pitch to a 4SFB, but with the RFB I give up tons of deep balls. Any advice on these pitchers?

This may not be the most Ideal thread for this post but since I only use the Cubs in Franchise mode with OSFM rosters I thought you guys would have some answers.

I have played around with some Samardzija trades.

My favorite so far for realism is to the Rockies for SP Eddie Butler and C Tom Murphy. Is this too much?

Any thoughts on a realistic return on Hammel?

Also has anyone noticed that trades are far more likely to be accepted this season?

I have forced trades ON in case the real Cubs move any player before I do but it seems like almost anything I offer returns "this seems like a good deal to us" feedback.

                              Thanks in advance.

Im into mid may in my franchise. Rizzo and Ruggiano lead the team with 9 HR each. Rizzo is batting around .320 and Ruggiano is above .300 too. I can't hit with Castro. Hes only batting .250
                                Barney- A surprising .280
Bonifacio- a less than stellar .260
                                Schierholtz is hovering around .300
Castillo started terrible but has since caught a hot streak- .270
Olt has 7 jacks but is only batting .190

I don't play every game. (Usually player lock)
I struggle with finding realistic trades for the pitchers. I want to deal Hammel or Jackson (along with Barney or Schierholtz) but I just don't know what the Cubs would really be able to get for those guys.

I'm also excited for the draft. I've been scouting tonssss of starting pitching

In the minors, Baez, Soler, Bryant, and Almora have been tearing it up. Baez and soler and Bryant all have around 10 dingers with .290 ba. Almora is scorching with a .340 ba. I'm beginning to think call up time for Baez and Bryant will be around the all star break.
