    Re: [Release] !994 Set

I've made them so bad that in season 1 of Season, they'll lose to everyone so they won't matter really. In Season 2, both teams will have picked up real players to fill their roster and they'll progressively get better.

Exemple, I'm in season 2 of a test sim right now. Both teams have got full rosters.

Arizona picked up Tewksbury, Dennis Martinez, Rey Ordonez, etc..

Tampa picked up Livan Hernandez, Miguel Batista, Eddie Murray, Lee Stevens etc...

Eventually, I can see myself running out of Free Agent spots and putting the overflow on those teams, so they'll get named players.

    ---

Speaking of which, I'm making a 10 year test sim right now, I want to see how the data does. Every year, I edit in the Expos' actual draft picks to see how it all evolves.

Thank you for your continued work on this. You did Knights work justice, and then some with all the additions. Will there be more versions headed into MLB 15, or should we snatch this one up now and get our franchise ports ready?

Some suggestions: Dont make the filler teams too bad, because you dont want to throw off the sim stats too badly for the teams that have to play them. Id try to make them bad, but not so insanely out of whack with other team averages.

Ken Griffey's body type should not be 230 and buff in 94. He was closer to 215, and more athletic/slendder.

          Hey, update here!

Long time no updating and that would be because I accidentally flushed my research documentation (That is, mainly, a list of MLB vets playing in the minors in 1994 as well as a list of Player Potentials per position) in a system format. Then I was pissed I had to do that again. The big spreadsheet with all the data is safe though, thanks to Google.

But I will do that research again and resume work, this is not dead.

Also looking forward to MLB 15 on PS3. I wonder how much they will add to it, really? I'm hoping for Expos uniforms for Washington.

Nice work on the these rosters, love the updates and scrubs . Good suggestion acout the Expos uniform in MLB 15. Got me thinking about the other feature that would be cool, in future editions with stadiums they could add a generic dome and call it that. It could resemble say the Kingdome and also a cookie cutter stadium with astroturf. One other awesome feature would be a Uniform Vault, so all the hard work you modders do could be rewarded.
Again a big fan looking fwd to v6

Thanks, and yeah those would be great ideas. I think Create-A-Stadium wouldn't be that complicated either.

Here's a look at the first of our next batch of scrubs...

              Spoiler

Better known so far is... Eric Bullock? He was around a while.

Yeah, because parents lack originality, we have two different guys named Mike Anthony Smith that need the abbrev of the team they mostly played for after their name to differentiate them. Both are never-were MiLB filler that start the game as Free Agents.

Real journeyman Rick Schu, found his card in a used Camaro I bought years ago. Just a quick question when you d/l from Logo Vault (eg Expos) how can you load it in the game

Re: Porting Knight's 1994 set to MLB 14

                  Quick update:

Now 55 guys in for the next update, lots of free agents. Will get it up to 100-120 and release.

I can't add anymore fielders to the free agents list, so now, extra fielders find their way to Tampa's roster. They now have 10 named players. But these are the 10 worse fielders that would have been in the free agents list. The top 160 free agents will still be free agents, but the rest will be on Tampa and Arizona.

When I'm all said and done, I'll balance the two teams so that they are even, if they aren't.

Also, something that isn't so bad because it affects older players that will retire anyway, but you can't have players in their late 30's, or early 40's that used to be stars still have that A-B potential despite having OVs in the 50's and 60's because the engine WILL give them monster progression towards their potential. Oversight of my part.

That will be easy enough to fix, just dump all the potentials of the former stars that retired in 1993 or will in 94-95-96 so that they regress.

1689 players in. 2858 editable players in the database, so over half-way done.
