I bet it's because the were in the AL in 94...

Did I just answer my own question?
I play sports games and spend way too much time making rosters.

Good idea in theory, but I just tried it with my iPod and it takes less time to write it down. Thing is, in copying mode, I can work the controller with one hand and the keyboard wth the other and now I can do it real quick.

If I had a camera that would produce a perfect shot without me having to resize the shot and fix the glare from the TV, etc then it would be better... but it would still take 15+ pictures to capture all the info I have in my spreadsheet.

BUT, if I ever have to do equipment/faces, I think pictures would be the way to go.

I tried it that way once with the faces by taking pictures.....I tapped out after doing one player lol.....you have to take a picture of each little detail, took me a half an hour just to take all the pictures needed for one player......then I tried another way by recording and taking screenshots......that went a lil quicker, took about 15-20 mins to grab all the screens needed

With the TVs side by side, takes me about 8-10 mins per player to port over the faces/equipiment......I've always appreciated the roster makers out there, but since I've recently started doing this, I can tell you this is a definitely a job that is a labor of love

I may be able to help, I have an old 60gb fatty PS3 coming in Thursday which I was buying just for the fan, but I may be able to get it functional to do the whole 2 PS3 on 2 tv's thing if you need some help.

It is! Especially since for most game modders, there's no pay involved and you have to deal with the same stuff a paid worker would...I think you need to be wired a certain way to be able to do it long-term without getting bored or sick of it. I've been doing data and guides for games for 15 years, so I guess, I'm the one cursed with the right wirings! Gotta say though, each project I do, I'm thinking it's the last one.

After I'm through with doing 90-men rosters here... heh, maybe I'll run an online franchise with them rosters. I'd love it if they allowed player importing in online franchises, we could do real draft classes! Suggestion to whoever that can make it happen that's reading this!

Sure! If you want to do faces & equipment, do the NL West!

Just grab the newest file, do them and reupload the file, I'll export and import your work in my data :-)

                  Thanks!

You absolutely really need to love doing this to be a roster maker... It takes time, commitment, drive, and patience.

I'm over in the 2014 Fictional Rosters thread making a fm set for those if anybody is interested ;p

Cool I can work on that, I did just look at the UPS tracking number today and it shows delivery on Monday ugh. I will update you guys when I get more info. I am so hoping for tomorrow and not Monday.

Sorta off topic, is there any plans to do Knights 2000 roster?

I don't know about that, it's worth a port but after I'm through with these and doing the full 90-man rosters and all, I think I'll have my fill of the editor and ill be looking at actually PLAYING the game.

Because I have yet to actually play the game :-p I've simmed a few games, though.

Phil....doing full 90 man rosters for this is incredible. And a true labor of love. I know I speak for many in saying thank you a million times over. Being able to do a full franchise with these players will be an amazing gaming experience! I am not a roster guru at all but I fully understand and appreciate the time and energy needed to commit to this type of project.

And I hope you deep dive into playing 14 after your done! The game is amazing!

90-Man rosters, Thanks a million time!

Especially with 1994, finally the Montreal Expos will win the World Series and not sell all their players the year after. A kid's dream come true!

Alou, Grissom, Walker... maybe with Vladimir Guerrero at the A lever....«Bonsoir, elle est partie!»

Same here, I haven't actually played a full game of MLB 14 yet......fooled around with QC and player lock but most of the time has been devoted to this project

I'll help you with the 90 man too, like Armor said I'm stoked about doing a franchise with these rosters

When the file gets to that stage, was thinking we may be able to use some of the players from Baumy's 96 rosters as a base for some of the minor leaguers

I also have a 95 roster set from MLB 13, between those two we should be able to pull together a sweet set

People who this stuff should be rewarded somehow because I dont think I'm alone in saying I wouldn't spend my short and valuable playing time on a project like this. If I had unlimited playing time I wish I could but with a wife and a kid my time is limited and I selfishly spend that time on my own personal in game progress.

I hope I dont sound like a selfish *** but I meant it as a compliment to those who do give up their personal playing time to projects like this .
