sweet, I thought the first ofsm minors rosters were solid already, i will take a look at what you made here...just want to say stuff like this is why I always drop in to operationsports.com, I loved what mkharsh and his team did to create the ncaa hoops classics teams for nba2k14 on xbox360 as well, those are sweet too....this is my first year with the show, because I only have owned xbox, and xbox 360...but so far I really like it...I miss the pitching mechanics from mlb2k12 and that series...but for the show I use pure analog hitting and metered pitching and I am having a good time with it now....I hated pulse pitching, and havent really tried zone hitting but analog feels like a swing to me because you load up right as the pitcher lets go then swing through the ball, and you can check swing or switch to a bunt or drag bunt easily with the stick...I am not a big fan of the baserunning mechanics for franchise. I love the road to the show baserunnning, but for franchise...I seem to make a lot of baserunning mistakes so still working on it..I turned guess pitching off for now...and took off the meter for defensive throwing...I might put that back on for defensive throwing in the future if it gets too easy but right now the games are competitive and that is what I like, I made lots of defensive errors with the throwing meter so for now I turned it off...anyways just have to say I invested in my first sony console since the genesis...and I am a happy camper, I bought it as soon as I saw the build of rbi14...a very basic baseball mingame...that didnt do anything to get me to by an xbox one....so looks like I will be a sony gamer for this generation...

Great news is waittilnextyear sent me a great PM detailing stats and such from tests he ran overnight and we got numbers more where we want them. I haven't had a chance to completely dive into them but what I saw was very good and with what I am going to tweak tonight we should be as close as we can get.

to be clear though...there will be a V2 release tonight correct?

        Can't wait for these rosters!

Any idea on what other versions will be done yet?
This will be it for me for a while, this has been full time work for 2 months, time to actually play the game, and get stuff done around the house.

Do you think this also means the draftees and prospects as they develop will be not as likely to be "too good" for the roster?

I realize it can't be helped, but perhaps the complete edits have alleviated the possibilities some.

So for V.2 are all pitch edits entered for all pitchers jeezy had listed or were some left out?

I had Ryan Howard in a sim go from a 63 or 62, whatever he is, to a 76 by the end of the year. He finished with a BA around .240 or .250, 33 homers and over 100 rbi's. Not sure if the huge increase was linked to his pretty good production or not, but I just thought it was interesting to see a vet actually improve instead of decline.
I don't think anyone responded to this earlier so I just wanted to quote it again to make sure you guys saw it.

Did you guys expect this to happen and are you happy that it does? Personally I kind of like it as it means that not every 34-35 year old on your team is going to majorly decline.

I did see the same thing, Adam Dunn increased all his attributes by 8 in the first season I simmed. I'm not sure if there is a solution. It seems that most overalls were reduced during the re-rate process. As a result, the game is interpreting a 60-something Overall with B potential, and moving him up closer to his potential rating, despite being on the wrong side of 30.

A possible solution could be reducing the potentials of the old, over-the-hill guys, by my understanding is that future draft classes are based on the players who retire.

Yeah this is what I was talking about earlier when I sim ahead to the future the prospects are too good they need their potentials edited because I think a lot of them get a huge increase to their potentials when they are tearing up the minors in the franchise and others like polanco taveras russell need to be scaled back some because they start out way too high above machado and puig. Its not that big of a deal to me because I noticed no one really responded to my first message so if only a couple of us are having the "potential" problem I will let it rest.

Yeah this might do it. The only problem is with a lower potential and higher age, overalls drop like flies. For example, when I did a test franchise with my Astros with the OSFM V2 rosters, Scott Feldman's overall decreased quite a bit. It kinda sucked since he's been a great pitcher this year.

I was actually planning on changing the potentials of quite a few veterans on the roster. How much did you lower Feldman's potential for his overall to drop like that? I figure there's a chance that an older player's potential rating may have to be really high to keep him viable at his age (Tim Hudson's 99 Potential rating, for example). I was hoping I could drop the near 40 year old players to a B or C potential rating, but if that means their overall drops 25 points halfway into the 1st season of my franchise, I'll have to make other plans...
