Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?
Just wondering, i dont have the game yet but last year was my first year with this series and it took me 1 month or so, to get into the game and to finally come up with a set of sliders that would put a great gameplay experience.

I turned down the Arm Strength for both a few notches. I just think everyone has rockets for arms.
Also, I would like to know when someone figures out what affect the Contact slider has on the game. Does it make it harder to actually hit the ball (thus resulting in fewer hits) or does it affect how hard it's hit once it's hit (thus resulting in a larger varity of hits...bloops, etc). Because I'm still seeing ALOT of screaming liners all over the place, much like last year. It's only a video game. -

btw CONTACT sliders when at 0 gave more variety of hits, we figured this out last year. Try my sliders for 1 game and tell me if they work, btw Allstar difficulty is now HOF (9 hitting zones) in THE SHOW. So give my last years sliders a 1 game run on HOF and see how it goes, report back.

In franchise you can save everything, this was exactly the case last year. Set then up in franchise and then save franchise. Now for you to play with the settings out of franchise just return to the main nenu screen. I hope they didnt take this out?.Comment

Definitely need to find a way to reduce number of hard-hit line drives. Haven't seen too much hit variety as of yet...
I agree with knocking down the Arm Strength a few notches. Should help improve all the laser-like throws I'm seeing.
Other than that, not much to tweak. I'm sure we'll find some more issues to work on as we get some more time in with the game.

Originally posted by CountryField04Did it do that in "season" mode last year? I just tried that trick today on this year's game but used "season" instead of "franchise". I think it worked but I forgot to make major changes to options and sliders before saving. LOLComment

I leave them on default and make like it is still 1996 sometimes.Comment

Hit variety seems fine to me so far. I've seen bloopers, rockets, high pop flies, choppers, screamers down the line, etc... I think it's much improved from last year. Goofy thing is I'm playing on rookie right now with CPU pitch speed turned all the way up. Yes, hits for both sides are a tad high, but I'm going to play several more games and go from there. I love the timing hitting as my 34 year old eyes has had trouble hitting with the zones.
I'm sure I'll get to veteran sooner or later.Comment

On HOF I tried sliders similar to yours and Parid's combination and they worked real well. I was pleased with your set last year and modified a few areas to more of my liking. It plays like last year and but better.
Leave contact at 0 for both CPU and human player, (I can still get hits and the variety is much improved). Throw Strength and Accuracy -5 for both. Base running aggression +20, I have Power at +1 for both, Pitch Speed at +19. Seems much faster than last years! ( I may decrease it. I feel like Sosa at times) Errors +2 for both and pitch count will be a work in progress. I tried a + 2 for the CPU, but that was with Carpenter on the mound. Nothing looked bad or extreme.Comment

I gave up a triple to Chone Figgins in my 1st full game. Vlad hit a HR down the RF line.
I was the A's and lost 4-3. Both starting pitchers threw over 70 pitches in 7 innings. Same rate as I get on MVP.
The play-by-play on MLB is awesome even with Rex Hudler. LOLComment
