I'm on the PSP, but I'm thinking everything is similar. But I have pitch count maxed all the way to the right, thinking that if you go towards the plus symbol, it's increasing the count. The minus, to me, seems like you'd be decreasing the count. Are you sure it's to the left or am I misinterpreting the slider?

I believe he meant to the right because the slider needs to be maxed.

That's what I'm thinking too, but you know how confusing sliders can be sometimes, I wanted to make sure there wasn't something weird going on.

I was having problems with extra base hits until I was St Louis and I had 3-4 doubles and a triple. I'm noticing more extra base hits with improved hitters and also me becoming better at hitting.

So the sliders are still a work in progress? If so ...do you think youll have some sliders out by Opening Day?

OK, here's what I did. I took Joe's sliders from last year and used everything but kept arm strength and accuracy at default. Seems to be playing better. What tuning sliders are you using Joe?

lol only got to play 4 games all on HOF default, i will play more this weekend and try my sliders FINALLY LOL.

It's weird, I played a game using Pared's above sliders and yours from last year Joe, and I had the exact same boxscore involving runs/hits/errors. I did like however the ones Pared posted above better, as it was easier for me to track the ball and got some power swing hits.

Ya clearly this years version just needs tweaks not a full on slider change, on HOF is playing fine as i had experienced in 4 games. Him upping the speed did that, it was the effect it took on me and the reason i put the speed up last year.

I use the pitch count slider maxed and when I bat I use veteran level and when the CPU bats I put it on HOF. So far it's working great.

I'm also thinking about maxing the errors slider at some point.

I need to play a few more games first with things the way they are. When I change things, I try and change then individually. There is no way (IMO) to determine fully the effect of a slider setting if you mess around with everything at once.

at default in HOF the AI is aggressive baserunning wise, is not like last year where you needed full. Again this all based on 4 games so i dont know if thats the truth, i will need to play more.

nah dont max, just add two clicks to the right or 3 if you want more. I wouldnt go beyond that, most baseball games have either 1 or 2 errors.

Why is it that "the sliders must have glitched up b/c they weren't working right" as opposed to you just "thinking" they're actually having an effect?

The sliders definitely glitched up because the pitch speed slider was not having any effect, I lowered the slider all the way and the pitch speed was still the same. I even lowered the contact and power sliders all the way, which do greatly change hits off the bat (especially power at 0), nothing changed. I restarted the system and everything was fine again. I did have the game on for over 5 hours, the sliders did glitch up. Not a major problem but it can happen.

Hmm...I seem to be smacking the ball up the middle now. I turned contact down to 0, but it's still not really doing anything. I have 16 hits in 6 innings already.
