Re: Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?
Originally posted by brunnocei would say most of my doubles are gappers...not almost hr...power 8 seems fine too me..maybe i will evan lower it to 7 casue i get way to many hits.., im averaging 10-15 hits a game on allstar level(i wont play HOF cause i strike out like 15+ on it...)..i think thats to much..my players .avr will be too high with that amount of hits...i really need to find a way to cut down the singles..so i will have realistcs score boards..and no more 6 run 18 hits...Comment

Re: Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?
Originally posted by cowboype2000I have the same problem on HOF, I get too many hits. I just played a game with power at 9 and it felt just about right. I only need to adjust the contact slider so the CPU and I get the right number of hits.
You use the R stick to influence?, dont do that that makes the game kinda easy to get contact(might not be a hit all the time and you get contact easy). All i do is just use the L stick and aim it towards where i see the pitch going and press X at the sametime, the only time i use R stick is with bunts and sacflys situations.
Also i suggest you play 3 games on HOF on default and then start to tweak, like we all be saying this game doesnt need a full set just tweaks in some areas. I tell ya i had 3 great games when i played the game for the first time all on HOF default and the only thing that i found odd was just not more variety of hits, no errors, no baserunning.
I tweaked on what i found needed some tweaking and as i am looking in this forum everybody and their momma are making the same tweaks lol, we are going to come to a conclusion very soon and stick with that slider set and thats a good thing. I doubt we will be all season long searching for the right set.Comment

Re: Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?
Originally posted by highheatkingsbI've seen all types of doubles, gappers, down the line, off the wall, etc.. I actually had a triple my last game. The only thing I've had issues with is errors. I have arm strength and accuracy both at -2 and have only had 1 error the last six games and that was on a pickoff move.
Remember some teams are better on defense then others, i believe that takes effect. In HOF the AI is top notch, so try 15 on error(or 14 if you see too much) and 3 to the left on throw accuracy.
I seen one time the ball go throw the legs of a mets first basemen( CLASSIC moment! ), also seen the AI sort of confused in center field on sunny days, i remember some guy from the indians looking kinda lost trying to catch a long shot to the middle of yankee stadium, he looked left and turned right and then took a DIVE! and caught the ball.Comment

Re: Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?
So for those who set the Contact slider to 0...are you setting the CPU contact slider to ) as well?Comment

Re: Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?
Yeah, you make stuff even for both and see how you like it. Also it gives you a chance to field all diffrent types of hits that come from this. Try it out, play 3 games vs the same teams (gets you ready for what you will be doing in franchise mode) and see what happens.Comment

Re: Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?
so contact at 0
and power at 8?
is that the early consensus?
will the cpu score with these on all-star?Comment

Re: Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?

Re: Sooo anything you noticed so far that will need tweaking?
I find that power set at 9 is just perfect for HOF difficulty. HRs are being hit a very realistic numbers. With power set a 8, I really did like how the game played, but it was just too tough for the CPU and me to hit HRs with guys that average around 15 to 25 HRs. I'm getting real close to posting my set of HOF sliders, just need to correctly set the contact sliders (CPU's contact will actually be lower than the User's because the CPU is able to hit the sweet spot on the bat much more often).Comment
