As a guy in the raising the 2B/SS camp. Lowering the hit quality will only work if the hits are slower than the 2B/SS dropping to zero for reaction are if they are equal or faster than you would get the same or more hits in the middle.

I cannot tell you whether that is the case but i can tell you that i never thought the 2B/SS were a problem on the game unlike the 3B/1B and OF.

I had the same problem and then moved back to All-Star. I know everyone is stuck on HOF but thats what worked for me.

Arm strength for OF'ers in the range of 1/4 to just under a half(for a guy like Franceour)
Speed got lowered big time for most players....guys like Reyes, Logan, Roberts, Tavares ....stayed very high
I raised stamina for SP while dropping it for RP(except guys that are spot starters)
I adjusted contact and power for a lot of players.
I lowered the BB/9 for most pitchers
I made A LOT of adjustments last year and will again this year.

The only thing maybe is move hit quality up to 11 or 13 for CPU. Have you tried that?

I really think it would be perfect without these hits through the middle.
Alonzo do you have power at 7 for both you and CPU?

DAMN, I wish I had that problem......so far in 3 games, the CPU has abused me to the point where I'm considering filing charges

                Hey Dk

I had my doubts about this whole thing about All Star being harder than HOF.

After doing a bunch of testing, I am now convinced All Star is the way to go. I played 5 games using Red Sox at Baltimore. I test using a good team vs. a crappy team (sorry Baltimore fans ). Anyhow I played 5 games on All Star and 5 on HOF. I played about 5 innings in each game

Every game in All Star the CPU put up 5+ runs on me in the first 4-5 innings. HOF was quite different...scores were 1-0, 2-1 after 4-5 innings. In one game on HOF, I struck out the first 5 Orioles I faced. I never did that on All Star. lol

I struck out Brian Roberts 6 times in 5 games on HOF. On All Star, he hit 4 HRs off of me in 5 games and I struck him out once. LMAO

I did make some slider adjustments and in my opinion, slider adjustments are more noticeable on All Star. On HOF, any change seemed subtle but on All Star you can really see the difference.

I am just shocked at what I am seeing on All Star...lol.

Last game I played all 9 innings on All Star and I lost 9-3. I was Boston, and CPU was Baltimore. When I was playing on HOF, all my games were close, 4-3, 5-4, 3-1, etc. I was never really afraid of the CPU. On All Star I am seeing a more potent offense from the CPU.

I will update the first page with the slider adjustments later on.

Yeah the computer isn't scoring much at all. I just played back to back games and gave up under 3 runs each game.. and this is with the hit quality, power, and timing window maxed. I got to the point I just threw down the middle every time and they just wouldn't score. I even had like 5 k's in one game.. I am going to try the sliders on allstar and see what i get.

I updated the first page. Changes to slider settings and game options are marked with ****.

Hope people are seeing what I am seeing. I am getting my arse kicked all over the place. I don't see it being a fluke because I played a half dozen or so games with the same teams, same pitcher matchup, etc. The Orioles were pounding Beckett...lmao

JT30, I was using your roster update with some similar updates to your sliders on All-Star last night and I am having some good games. I saw some nice fielding going in, some doubles down the line, flare singles, etc. At one point, the Bluejays went back-to-back-to-back against me (Angels) using Escobar. I haven't seen even back-to-back yet in The Show and I've been playing like crazy since release.

The CPU batters are much more of a threat if you get lazy around the plate. I'll play and post more later tonight after the day is done.

JT, have you slept in the past 24 hours? You've been posting at all hours of the day man. Are you addicted to The Show? I can't blame you if you are. It'll be O.K.

I know I know. I have been on call for work and some of my projects are in construction 24 hrs a day and as a civil engineer, I'm on call in case something bad happens..lol.

So if I am up through the night, I will be playing The Show waiting for someone at the project to call me and tell me a bridge is collapsing or a building is falling down

What settings do you use when MLB Mariners have trouble scoring a couple of games in a row?

Guys...one thing I've learned from playing MANY, MANY games in this franchise(The Show)...is there is a GREAT deal of variability in this game. A guy who is rated pretty highly in POWER might not necessarily hit 30-40 homeruns every year. Same goes for a guy with middling contact..he might have a tremendous year and hit .300.

I think maybe you guys are getting a little too nutty with this....play some games take it for what it is...and TRY and have some fun.
