JT, with the pitch speed set now at 11, doesn't it make stealing easy again?

Since he reduced the speed attribute for every player, it may be ok?? not sure though.

        Ok, that makes sense.

I'm surprised you guys are having problems hitting HR's. I had 2 in each of the games I played last night. I'm going to start my franchise now. I can't over think this game anymore. With JT's edits its playing very good now. I'm also losing most of my games, but then again I am using the Marlins

I raised the durability for most players.
I lowered all the OF considered average to 1/4 bar......the better ones(range wise) I raised in increments from there and guys like Adam Dunn I went down from there(for the big guy...WAY DOWN )
Arm strength for OF'ers in the range of 1/4 to just under a half(for a guy like Franceour)
Speed got lowered big time for most players....guys like Reyes, Logan, Roberts, Tavares ....stayed very high
I raised stamina for SP while dropping it for RP(except guys that are spot starters)
I adjusted contact and power for a lot of players.
I lowered the BB/9 for most pitchers
I made A LOT of adjustments last year and will again this year.

You and the others working at this stuff are going to make the game so much enjoyable. It's already a great game, but it can become near perfect with the edits.

Re: HOF Primality Slider Set (with edited rosters)

I've started a Season with my Red Sox. I am 1-1 at the moment.

I lost the opener against the A's 8-7 in Extra-Innings. I was cruising with Beckett, but they got to him in the 7th Inning. The first game had too many homers, even ellsbury homered to opposite field and that shouldn't happen. Pedroia had one, too.
The 2nd game was better. I won 7-4, Matsuzaka pitched 6.2 Innings and gave up all 4 runs. A's homered 2 times, Red Sox once. Both teams had 1 Double.
I scored 7 runs in the 4th Inning against Haren.
In 2 games, I stole 3 times with ellsbury and he got caught once.

I still have the problem that I get too many hits. I know I am still learning at the plate, but in the most of the games I get double-digit hits. I don't like the hits through the middle, that happens very often.
What can I do about it?

Since I changed to classic, it is much more difficult to pitch. I'll stay with it...

LAtest game with these rosters and latest sliders (except power at 10 for both teams)

                  Cin(cpu) 2 6 0
                  Tor(me) 4 6 0

                  Bailey(cin) 5 IP 5 H 4 ER 1 BB 6 SO
                  83 pitches (54/29)

                  Burnett(Tor) 6IP 4 H 1 ER 2 BB 4 SO
                  95 pitches(56/39)

                  Cin- 5 singles 1 HR(Hatteberg)
                  Tor-4 singles 1 2B(Zaun) 1 HR(Rios)

Pretty good game feel to it. I'm still K'ing a bit too much, ill keep practicing or I might bump contact up 1 or 2. I'm probably gonna drop down to 9 power next game. I think I'm gonna bump up SP fatigue 1 (burnett was gassed in the 80's pitch mark).

Well being the Reed Sox expect the hits. They averaged 9.7 Hits/gm last year. Add to that 4.25 BB/Gm, and you should see about 14 baserunners per game with the Sox.

Sure, 10 hits/gm is the right line, but not in every game. The A's had their best 2 pitchers on the mound, but I still got 13 hits against them in game 2 (harden), even though I had no walks in both games.
I would have no problems with double-digit hit games if it's against 3-4-5 starters. And you have to consider that the games were in the Colosseum (pitchers park)

My own hit-quality is almost down to zero, do you have any idea what I could do to avoid hits?

Are you using these rosters and sliders? The sliders on here have P1 hit qualtiy at 0. I would try that first. If its still way too easy at that point then you have to work with other sliders.

Just don't give up on it, you will find a way to tailor the game to your ability.

Yes, I use the Roster and most of the sliders. Hit quality is not complete down to 0, but I don't see how 3-5 points should affect the hitting that much.
I really think it would be perfect without these hits through the middle.

Since all reactions are zeroed out for each player, some have said to leave the 2b and SS with some reaction attributes so they can get to those up the middle. I think lowering the hit quality slider may make those hits dissapear too, since they wont be hit as hard up the middle. I would just start with it zeroed out then work from there.

I cannot get the CPU to score at all now. I'm 7 games into a season and I have given up 1 HR, about 6 doubles, and my team ERA is 2.05. Out of frustration I am feeding the CPU tube-shot fastballs half the time. And my last game I turned the cpu power slider up to 20 and all they got was 2 doubles and 1 run.

Any attribute adjustments that people have tried?
