Re: Old Man Realism (4.0)
Yep, start from the far left. I tried them with meter, I just don't like using it. I love the classic style. With classic, I'm seeing the CPU distribute the ball everywhere, singles, doubles, gappers, etc...with meter all I saw was singles. I just think there's to much control with meter this year. I'm giving up over 6 runs a game using classic in my dynasty. Ouch!!!!Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: Old Man Realism (4.0)
I'd say try them for yourself and see. If I didn't swing at crap all the time, I guarantee I'd walk 2 to 3 times a game. I'm getting them, usually 1 or 2 a game, but it could and should be more, but that's my doing, not the sliders.Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: Old Man Realism (4.0)
When I first looked at the sliders I saw the problem with the walks. CPU Pitch control should be at 20 from the left. Do that and the walks should come back. Haven't had time to test this too much because I've been working on a new roster for 3 hours and before that it was storming in my area and I don't like running my ps3 when it's storming. I'll report back when I play tommorow. My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

In hindsight, I guess I should've named them 'Occasional Man's Realism'.Comment

I.e. Johan Santana: 6 IP, 8 hits, 1 walk, 8 K's, 1 ER.
Bruney: 1 IP, 2 hits, 1 walk, 1 K, 2 ER.
Shouse: .2 IP, 0 hits & walks
Hawkins: 1.1 IP, 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 ER, 1 K
Total: 11 hits, 3 walks, 4 ER, 10 K
I dont see 11 hit games regularly but it was against the Astros with Berkman, Towles, Lee and Tejada all on fire.Comment

Re: Old Man Realism (4.0)
The only way to find out is to try them for yourself. The main reason I chose 'Oldman" was because of the pitch speed being so low. With how far I am from the TV (about 10 feet) and how limited my playing time is, I needed something that I could jump right into without worrying about being rusty everytime I played. They are working for me and I am by no means an old man (only 26).
In hindsight, I guess I should've named them 'Occasional Man's Realism'.Comment

Re: Old Man Realism (4.0)
Commish, check your PM.
Stat lines from previous 2 games:
SD Vs. NYY
Young Vs. Zambrano
NYY wins 8-0
NY stats: 11 hits, 3 BB, 1 double, 4 HR, 10 K, 136 total pitches (2 pitchers)
SD stats: 4 hits, 3 BB, 1 double, 0 HR, 9 K, 152 total pitches (4 pitchers)
SD Vs. NYY
Maddux Vs. Hughes
SD wins 10-5
NY stats: 9 hits, 3 BB (2 against Maddux), 4 doubles, 1 triple, 2 HR, 3 K, 164 total pitches (4 pitchers)
SD stats: 10 hits, 4 BB, 1 double, 4 HR, 9 K, 130 total pitches (3 pitchers)
Good stats as far as I'm concerned. The only thing that might need adjusting is the amount of HR's being hit. Anyone else having a similar issue?Comment
