Dont know if the CPU hitting ability is for everyone. I just finished the first 3 game series with the Jays Against Minnesota and had 2 games where i took a no hitter into the 9th and in the 3rd and final game i allowed 2 hits and finished the series with almost 40 strikeouts on the Twins. Mauer and Morneau didnt get a single hit and both struck out almost every time. Any suggestions where i could set their hitting to make it a bit more challenging?? I know hit normal about 4 or 5 runs on maybe 8 or 9 hits. All and all though with my own game play tweaks these are very likely going to be the best set for people like me who struggle at the plate.

I dont know about lowering the CPUs contact, power, timing and solid hits to 0. Will that make the CPU unable to hit?Comment

Re: Trinity's updated veteran game settings/sliders Version x!
Have been using these sliders since day one for MLB 11 and have been playing very very well. I've gotten 10-15gms in and usually get anywhere from 6-10 hits a game with the occasional 3 or 4 hit game. That is for both the cpu and myself. I have been using the pirates and Im 2 games under 500. For me these are it and I plan to continue using them. Being towards the end of spring im going to bump it up to all star just to test it out.“Anything is possible. You can be told that you have a 90-percent chance or a 50-percent chance or a 1-percent chance, but you have to believe, and you have to fight.”Comment

Well here goes nothing, going into the deep end without a life jacket. in other words starting out with a fresh game one in franchise with your sliders. ill give you a report back after my season opener against Seattle."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: Trinity's updated veteran game settings/sliders Version x!
Since posting that post i have been on a very long frustrating journey trying every slider set under the sun for either all star or veteran. I am finally back to give them a shot. i have started a new Season mode, where i have began a process of going over to the dark side.
No i haven't started to play as the Yankee's. I have gone over to the real DARK SIDE. The National League!!! lol. I've always wanted to play as a National League team since i never get to play in the parks.
Yet every time i have gone to do such my heart hasn't been in it. Well now for some strange reason i have the desire and heart to do it. Anyway, Here i am three games into my new venture, and I'm 0-3.
I'm about ready to just say screw it and give up and trade in this and 10 and go back to 08'. Then i remember there is ONE slider set i have yet to try, that being this one!!
So here i am going into game four of my season with them and hoping to find success. I will report back with results"Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

How are your guys walk totals on Veteran? I have been thinking about making the switch to this level, but everyone always states that the CPU will throw too many meatballs and not try to work the count or even walk guys. Thanks for your response,

I'll tell you this much you can get walks on this level (Veteran) if you set the cpu strike freq slider at 0. you just have to be absolutely patient at the plate. Myself i lose more walks by getting over anxious at the plate with 2 strikes and start swinging at pretty much anything."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment
