I'll need to pitch better to have a shot. I love that part of it!!
I did the same thing. Basically forcing myself to pitch better and it's so much more rewarding now that I can actually pitch.
My hitting isn't great but as I said in another post as long as my pitching keeps me in the game I always feel I have a chance to win.

        Psycho my friend,
        You have done it again.
After a month of screwing around I decided to start a Red Sox franchise using Knights rosters and your sliders and WOW baseball heaven.
I had four totally unique games in a row.
Had one blowout got blownout had a pitchers dual, and throw in a ninth inning come from behind.
I'm using these on HOF and have not seen the comeback on this level at all.
Just wanted to say thanks for your efforts as I used your sliders last year and will be enjoying them again this year.

I am using these sliders and I am getting like an average of 15 hits in a game on all star. I am currently 3 and 3 with the astros and i am having fun but i think i am going to move to legend what do you think.

that's a big jump after only 6 games...at least go to HoF first

but still, 6 games is nothing (especially since you're only 3-3)...i've had stretches of 8 games where I just can't hit, and then I had a stretch of games where I was scoring 9, 14, and 10 runs

you're better off reducing your Contact/Timing sliders first and see hwo you play

tbone - thanks for the nice comments, thats my combination too, my sliders and Knights rosters - loving it.

toolapc, give it another 10/15 games or so, you will get slumps, as pbz has said, im in one right now, i hit .302 as a team for the first 9 games, the last 4 ive lost them all been able to hit nothing, my team is now batting .263 and i have only scored a total of 6 runs in the those 4 games.

Peaks and troughs my friend, peaks and troughs.

Psycho I need a little help please. I was struggling with the Pirates pitching on AllStar and dropped to Veteran, and now pitching seems good, but my hitting is a little too good. I rarely strike out and get 12+ hits every game (8 games played on Veteran) any suggestion on what I should change to make hitting a little more difficult? thanks Psycho

He can also either tweak down his hitting sliders on Veteran a single notch each (or at least just the Contact/Timing) to see how that plays.

Or go back to All-Star and notch down the CPU hitting sliders the same way.

I had the same experience, threefive. I like All Star but wanted a little better hitting, less strikeouts by me, and a little less pounding while pitching. I went down to veteran and had some good games but just raked the CPU pitching.

I've since moved back up to All Star and am just working at getting better at the aspects of my game I was struggling with before. Your hitting will be lots more realistic, and if you work on strategy, you'll get better at pitching. You do have a challenge, though, with PIT.

                          Yep, this is right tree.

You need either stay on AS and stick at it (and be aware that being the Pirates will not be easy, as it shouldnt be) or drop to Veteran and drop the contact/power sliders by 1 for you and see how that goes.

Me, id advise you stick it out on AS, it will come good, its so rewarding when it does

Psycho I'll give all star another shot, its gonna be tough with the Pirates, but hey the Pirates have the best ERA in the NL right now Maybe they will get a boost in a future update, lol. Next time I might just PM you directly for help Psycho

Yeah no worries mate always happy to help.

Just won the 2nd game of the series in LA (first game above detailed) with a stellar performance from Armando Galrraga, just 4 hits allowed.

                              LAA 1 4 0

Inge, Thames and Guillen all went deep, so my homer drought is ending i hope!

Ill keep saying it, peaks and troughs!

Excellent sliders PsychoBulk!!! Since I began using v3, I have yet to see a play that doesn't feel natural. (CPU throwing to first 10 times, line drive smashed to the gap for an easy out, relievers pitching 3+ innings consistently, etc.)

I also LOVE using Knight165's roster and these sliders. I only have one question...On Knight's final roster (v5), he will make personal tweaks to player's attributes to make the game play better. Will Knight's tweaks:
                                a) still be intended to used with your sliders
                                b) have another version of your sliders tweaked for Knight's release
                                or
                                c) "fix" the issues you have corrected with your sliders

If anybody has experience with this from last year, I would GREATLY appreciate hearing from you. I am forcing myself to wait to start playing franchise until Knight and Co.'s final release, but I would like to get going ASAP. I'm trying to get my game plan "PERFECT" so I can begin as soon as the roster is available.

Once again, GREAT job on the sliders. I can't imagine how much testing goes into creating them.
                                THANK YOU
