I'm still not seeing any CPU offense. I'm just grooving pitches and the CPU isnt making me pay for it. The CPU is still only getting about 5 hits per game. What would you suggest I adjust to get a few more hits from the CPU, without taking away my ability to have them chase a pitch out of the zone?

By the way, as far as human offense goes, you nailed it. Cant get any better.

Playing AllStar with these - seeing my HR count at about 2:1 to doubles, thoughts?

Maybe I'm too early when swinging, as I hit more balls down the lines than in the alleys, or over heads of outfielders. I am also seeing way to many seeing eye singles and HR's vs, hard hit singles, or doubles.

Thoughts?

15 homeruns
1 triple

Just about where they should be, a 2:1 ratio of doubles to home runs.

How often do you use power swing? What team do you use etc?

Up CPU Contact and Power by 1 in that case (if you are on AS) and believe me, it wont be long before you notice a difference :wink:

Brewers, have never used power swing - everything else is on the nuts, CPU offense, pitching both ways, BB's, etc - but the lack of doubles = lame.

I'm going to start from scratch after I hear your opinion.

I'm 8 games into my season (playing as the Yanks), and I've only seen 1 error so far (between both teams).

Sliders workin well. I made a slight tweak on only a few things. Upped def running speed from 0 to 1, for example. Felt there was some balls in the OF from me and CPU werent getting to that they should. Very happy with these, outside of 2 things ive noticed. Not pyschos fault, but its the game..

The lack of a slider for defensive aggressiveness. I hit balls that CPU should not be diving after in given situations, they dive, miss, automatic triple. Happens very frequently. I can see in certain situations, but with nobody on and a big lead, should be circling the ball and playing it safe off one hop, holding u to a single.

The lack of a CPU baserunning aggressiveness slider. Again, never saw this before the sliders, but now its a huge issue, sometimes happening 2 plus times per game. Runners, Prince Fielder included, trying to take extra bases on me going first to third. Ive played 6 games with these sliders and thrown out at least 8 guys in that time tryin to go first to third, oftentimes making the first or third out at third. And these plays arent even close, im talking dudes touching 2nd base when im in medium LF or CF with the ball already in my hands.

I couldnt find anything to help alleviate this. I turned up the def running speed up 1, which helped a little and I think is a bit more accurate depiction of fielder speed.

I was hitting 307 before these sliders. In 6 games with the sliders, im hitting 280. Still not where i want, but its a lot better and some of its probably due to guys already in hot streaks

well Psycho I have stuck with allstar but I lowered CPU CONTACT and TIMING by 1 and I am getting much better results. its only been 4 games but I am not getting blown out every game anymore and have had very close games I am 3-1. thanks for the help, Im gonna keep testing

corey, i dont know what to say in that case, you obviously bat like me i.e. very rarely use power swing, hmmm, ill have a think about it.

doris, yep, seeing errors still at 4, maybe not enough but ill only know that in the fullness of time.

illmatic, couldnt agree more, its hard to really change those two things you mentioned with sliders though, especially fielders diving for balls they dont need to and allowing the user more bases than he should have had etc.

i am 7-5 with the Indians. I just checked my team stats last night and while i dont have specific numbers, i do know i am middle of the road on just about everything. The only thing i am leading in of the major stats is walks allowed. my era is over 4, my batting avg is about 270.

i was playing a previous franchise on all star, but i felt the wins were a given and it was not a challenge. So with knights new roster i started over and bumped it up to HOF and the game is playing great.

thru 12 games i have been out scored 47 to 48.....lol .....and i feel that its a real challenge and the wins are not gimmies.

im still using 1.3 with no changes.....didnt see a new version, but i like 1.3

Psycho, do you issue a good amount of walks? I am trying to get a realistic number of walks for both sides and i am starting to get more walks but i am still not allowing many walks. I think 6 for both control and consistency may be a bit high...?

Yeah, i do, maybe 2/3 a game on average, sometime more, sometimes less,

Im not last in the league in doing so either, through 18 games in my franchise ive issued 47 walks. Issuing walks is a lot to do with how you pitch as well, sliders cant control everything.
