I just felt 6 was a bit to high, I was hesitant to make the adjustment because I wanted to use PB's exact sliders but I eventually had to make the switch. I played a good 22 games before I made the switch, I wanted to make sure I wasn't changing them to quickly but I just wasn't satisfied with how quick they kept taking their starters out.

Evidently 6 works great for PB but it wasn't working for me.
    Thanks. I'm gonna follow suit.

am i the only one that feels like starter and reliever stamina at 5 and 0 is way too low? i feel like i will barely make it to the 6th with my starter with bare minumum ewffort on the meter and the relievers will be dead armed for the next game or 2 or 3 with zero stamina.

maybe i dont fully understand the pitching meter or something but i doubt thats the problem. more effort = more energy used = faster hook or more chance of injury

I just dont see any stamina issues.

I can routinely go 100-120 pitches with starters pitching well, i dont think i have gone less than 100 with Verlander yet, if i raised the stamina i could probably go 150 with him, now that would be silly.

Just because the green Energy bar is low doesnt mean they are done, they can go until its dissapeared and even further sometimes, dont yank them too hastily if they are tossing a gem.

I think it very close to being accurate. I threw about 4 complete game shutouts throughout a 162 game season which seems about right. Starters do fizzle around the sixth usually these days thats why there are so many no decisions and 300 game winners are not going to happen anymore. My only suggestion would be for you to throw more to contact and stay out of long counts if you can.

            Cano .312 14

            Team AVG. .323

            Team ERA 4.82
Team batting avg way too high if you ask me. What were the avg's of the cpu teams? MLB avg team batting avg as of today is .260

I'm having a problem with pitcher fatigue too and my rosters are not edited. Routinely a pitcher with 85-90 pitches thrown will be running on empty

Indeed his team batting is way too high, so he either needs to step up to HOF or adjust his hitting sliders.

I am on HOF so what do you suggest I lower as far as hitting sliders and how much? I'm down 3-2 right now in the ALCS and the Indians are really shutting me down. It seems like when I play a good team the hitting sliders are near perfect maybe need to be toned down slightly but throughout the season those pitchers that stink just boosted my averages.

Obviously I need to adjust the hitting sliders. What do you guys think I should do to lower these averages for my next season? No way am I going back to Legend I am having way to much fun here with these sliders on HOF.

I hit too well on HOF also jcern, here is what I did. I moved to Legend and had like an 8 ERA with the Yanks after about 12 games. Too many "solid hits" IMO on Legend for the AI.

I started a Yanks Franchise over on Legend (I hit only), but when I am in the field I move the controller to the middle and "manage" my defense. I love Manage Only Mode, so now I am getting the best of both worlds. So, when I want to warm someone up, pinch hit, etc I just slide the controller back over to control the Yanks for a minute, then back to the middle after I make my move.

Everything Legend Default except the following (thanks Psycho):

                  Pitch Spd 0 (personal preference)
                  Fld Errors 6
                  Fld Run Spd 1
                  Fld Reac 10
                  Fld Arm Str 3

After 15 games here are some numbers:

                  Avg: .261
                  HR: 21
                  BB: 42
Era: 5.58 (starters are getting shelled) I am 2nd worst in Majors in ERA. Someone correct me if I am wrong PLEASE, but when I place the controller in the middle, meaning CPU vs CPU, difficulty does not matter correct? Mine is still set to Legend because of my batting, but man I am getting roughed up. I keep telling myself my starters will get better, but they havent yet (still early I know) but I am getting frustrated.

I know this is not for everyone, but I am having a blast with it this way! Give it a try, VERY realistic numbers. Except my record is 5-10 and I am the Yanks, come back Arod!! I don't get him until May 8th as I do the real day to day moves.

Your numbers after 15 games look very good save for the ERA. Never played manager mode so I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps lowering cpu contact, power, and solid hits one click might help

tgreer, i would rather just adjust the hitting sliders on HOF if it will work. Did you ever try zeroing out your hitting sliders on HOF. I enjoy pitching way too much to hit only on legend. I do love the hitting on legend though.

Psycho, great job on these sliders. I'm using a combination of yours and Dr. Ursus's sliders (they are pretty comparable) and am having a blast again with this game after nearly giving up on it a week ago (I play on PS2).

psycho thanks alot man. I lost in the ALCS after a full 162 game season but I had more fun than I've ever had in a video game. I struggled with legend at first and could not find my place level wise in this game but with your sliders on HOF I found alot of fun. My averages were too high but I needed them to compensate for my high ERA. If you have any suggestions on how I can lower my averages while still keeping my Yanks competitive I would appreciate it. Thanks again bro

I use your sliders on Hall of Fame and I really like them. But I can not hit doubles or triples to save my life. Through 20 games I am middle of the pack in home runs, so that is no problem. Should I turn up solid hits or power? I figured I'd ask you since you've played around with sliders so much and save myself some time. Thanks

I've played 81 games of my Red Sox franchise with these sliders, officially at the half way point in the season.

These sliders are great and I have been having amazing variety and challenge throughout my season. HAVING A F'N BLAST
