    Norrin, just under .800, .782 i think.

8 for 9 with Anderson (im Detroit), 6 for 9 with Granderson, 2 for 3 with Polanco, 1 each for Guillen and Ordonez.

sroz, step up to HOF (if your hitting is good enough) if not let me know.

Are you taking 2 step leads? That's what I'm trying now but even with cpu pickoffs at 0 they're still throwing over constantly and picking me off 1st. One time with Crawford they actually threw over while I was taking the 2nd step and he had to run, obviously out.

Same sliders? I kinda like the way my hitting is on All-Star. I'm usually getting anywhere from 8-14 hits, and typically score between 2-6 runs, though I did have one game where I scored 16 lol. That was an abberation though.

I will try these sliders on HOF because I LOVE how everything else plays, and report back, General

Nope, just one, never more, i hit L2 to steal (with one man on) way before the windup even starts then just leave it to do its stuff, are you waiting to do it manually? If so i wouldnt, hit L2 and watch it go.

Finished an exciting, yet extremely frustrating game last night...

              WAS 13 18 1
              ATL 8 13 0

Got 6 solid innings from Lowe (3 ER, 6 H, 3 BB, 1 K) and had the win in line for him (up 4-3 heading into the 7th) by tacking on another run in the 7th (up 5-3 heading into the 8th). Top of the 8th, WAS scores 5 runs, to pull ahead 8-5. Bottom of the 8th, I mount a furious, and so so exciting 2-out 3 run comeback. Bottom of the 9th, still 8-8, first batter, Francouer, walks. Second batter, passed ball, Francouer to second, no outs. Try to bunt with the next batter, no dice. I get two striked, and am forced to swing away (pop fly). Next batter, strikeout. Next batter, flied out to RF on an amazing diving grab by the CPU. Top of the 10th, WAS scores 5 runs, slaps a couple dingers, game over.

The frustrating part of the whole thing, I issue 8 BBs, only 2 Ks. For the life of me I could not get the CPU to swing at anything. The most unbelievable plate discipline ever. Add to that, I could not get a single called strike (completely inside the zone, more than half on the edge). So it basically seemed no matter what I had to give them balls to hit. And no matter what type of pitch I gave them, they slapped the seams out of it (WAS finished with 4 HR). I'll move on and continue to work on my pitching, but damn was that a game that had me hot. Some more good stats on my part though, 4 BBs (could have had one or two more), 2 SB (0 CS). Another thing I'm finding really sweet is the extreme variety of hits and animations (such as a diving forward OF who misses the fly ball allowing me to get my first stand-up triple).

I love these sliders....I get great games...and still lose.

Anyway, I only have one issue...but it won't go way. Wild pitches and dropped 3rd strikes. I probably see 2 to 5 of these every game. Getting really annoying. What tweaks can I do that will help this...but keep the game playing the same.

Any ideas? Anyone else see this issue? FYI...I am nearly 70 games into my franchise...and I play about 35 to 40...so I should have enough games in to comment on the sliders.

                  thanks

I dont see a stupid amount of wild pitches/dropped 3rd strikes, but i do agree with you Nit, there are slightly too many, but im not going to tweak any sliders to compensate as it could well throw other things off. Its something more game than slider related i think, i hope they remedy it for next years game.

You are the same as me, losing is fine as long as it happens realistically, losing never felt so good lol.

I have been using your 1.4 sliders for about 15 games now with above average results so far so kudos for a great job. I do have an issue with the CPU plate discipline in that the majority of the hitters I face(outside of NL pitchers), all have very good plate discipline in all counts throughout the at-bat. One example is trying to get the CPU to swing at in the dirt pitches on an 0-2 count is almost impossible. All the hitters seem to have an eagle eye like Albert Pujols. Any ideas or advice?

The other issue I am having is the swing issue on offense. I read that you do not use the left stick while hitting, and so I am not either. Does this take away from being able to hit high or low strikes effectively? Do you use guess pitch instead?

Absolutely not, no, i have hit every type of pitch, high/low/in/out. Im batting .285 through a nice round 50 games now.

As for the CPU having good eyes, well yes, some do and should have, but i can often get them swinging at absolute junk for the strikeout, and i mean way out of the zone, you have to set them up well with previous pitches to get this though.

Glad you are enjoying but remember, 15 games is still only a very small sample size

                          Psycho,

Sliders are still working great for me, but I have a question concerning hitting for power. What's your rationale for power + 1? I know I am the Yankees and they currently lead the AL in homers, but I am 14 homers ahead of the second place team in HR's (I have 74) and therefore about 20 ahead of the second leading team in RBI's (261). I am a month and a half into the season. Is this normal?

                          Thank you.

Ok, I will work on setting up the batters. I figured there was something I was missing. As for the batting, I will just have to keep practicing. Thanks for the advice

Hey Psycho, one thing I failed to mention is that I use the classic pitching style as opposed to the meter style. Which do you play with? Will playing on meter have a different effect on the CPU taking all the borderline pitches like I mentioned in my earlier post?

Nevermind, I did some searching and found the answer to my question.
