      Game #24 of the Season

      Boston(ME) 2 @ Baltimore(CPU) 0

The Orioles and Red Sox played an extra innings instant classic at Camden yards. The game was scoreless 0-0 going into the 11th inning when Kevin Youkilis connected and launched a 2 run HR into the bullpens to give the Red Sox the 2-0 lead. Daisuke Matsuzaka made his first start of the season and he was ablsolutely dominant as he struck out 12 Orioles and pitched into the 7th inning before tiring. Brad Bergeson was equally impressive for Baltimore as the Red Sox could not muster any offense off of him either. Jonathan Papelbon came on for the bottom of the 11th and nailed down his 9th save of the season.

        Game #25 of the Season

        Boston(ME) 8 @ Baltimore(CPU) 3 13 innings

The Red Sox and Orioles played another extra innings nail biter. Josh Beckett had another strong performance as he gave the Red Sox 8 innings of 1 run baseball on the mound. Jonathan Papelbon came on to pitch the bottom of the 9th and got the first 2 outs before Luke Scott and Nick Markakis hit back to back HR's to tie the game and stick Papelbon with the blown save. The game was in the 13th inning when the Red Sox had runners at the corners and David Ortiz was able to score JD Drew on a sac fly to give the Red Sox a 4-3 lead. Bpston tacked on a couple more hits and Jeremy Hermida had a key 2 RBI single to stretch the lead to 6-3. Jason Varitek was up next and blasted a 2-run HR to make it 8-3. Daniel Bard pitched the bottom of the 13th to finally bring this game to an end.

Hey man, love the sliders, but do you have any left stick tips? I never seem to get solid contact and I haven't hit an extra base hit in a couple games because I'm not getting the PCI where it needs to be.

What i do is - move the left stick at the smae time I swing.

If you have to - bump your power slider up one notch....see if that helps.

You can tweak the sliders - you don't have to keep them exactly as I am using them.....try human contact 4 and human power 7

JUst got the show and played one game today w/ the braves i won on veteran (everything default) and i pitched a 5 hit shutout on the tigers. The game felt WAY too easy considering i hadn't played since last years game...so i'm thinking about trying your sliders. BTW where did all the slider sets go? last year there was like 2 billion slider sets being posted in this forum, but now it's just down to 3, which i'm thankful of...but just wondering why the big dropoff

I think that last year - so many people used Psycho's, myself included....that this year some other slider guys just used Psycho's and didn't bother making them.

I just decided I would try to make my own set and see how it goes, figuring I would use Psycho's if my sliders ended up sucking. I'm enjoying it and I'm using my slider thread to track the progress and stats of my franchise with boston so the other users on here know as much info about the slider set as possible.

I think between Psycho, My set, and CHDaughter - you should be able to find a set that works for you and have a blast with the game.

Let me know if oyu use mine and how it goes!

The Angels got 2 HR's from Juan Rivera as the Angels took game 1 of the series 6-3. Clay Buchholz had a very poor outing for Boston and he was unable to make it out of the 5th inning. Mike Lowell hit a 3-run HR in the 1st inning, but the Red Sox could not muster any offense in the game. Brian Fuentes picked up the save for LA.

I will definitely let you know how it goes, but i'm still trying to finish my basketball season in nba2k10. Hey i like how youre posting the box scores...i see you score 8-10 runs every once in a while, but do you ever have a game where you put up like 15-20 runs? I've always wanted a game that would allow for that every once in a while, but it seems as though the law of averages in programming keeps that from ever happening...10 runs maybe once in 10-12 games, but hard to get much more runs than that, what say you?

I'm sure it will happen......that only happens maybe 3 times a season for most teams. I've ponly played 26 games of my season. I'll wait until the first half is over before I make a judgement on that.

John Lackey made his first appearance against his former team and gave a lackluster performance, but he deserved a better outcome. He wasn't helped by his defense as Dustin Pedroia threw a ball into left field on an easy double play groundball which led to a 3-run inning and ultimately was the difference in the game. Juan Rivera hit 2 HR's in the game and now has 4 HR in the first 3 games of this series. Joel Pineiro pitched for LA and was able to wiggle out of some tough jams as the Red Sox threatened and definitely had their chances.

                              Had two great games yesterday.

                              Redsox 3
                              Rays 2

Beckett goes 8.1 innings with a 10K performance and was looking for a complete game shutout heading into the top of the 9th with a 3-0 lead. Carl Crawford spoiled the shut out bid by hitting a flyball off the foul pole in an 18mph wind blowing across the Monster and directly towards the foul pole. I have to say, this was the first time I have seen the wind absolutely turn what was an easy fly ball to right field into an unplayable ball, and I was pretty impressed. I immediately got Papelbon up in the pen, and basically pitched an non-intentional intentional walk to Pena so that after a mound visit, and another mound visit Paps was warm. He took care of business with 2 K's and a pop up to Drew, and the Red Sox win it.

15 Innings!! What a game. Lester and Shields just looked like they were throwing batting practice tonight, and the lead changed 4 times including the Rays going ahead 8-7 in the top of the 13th, but Pedroia comes through with an RBI single to plate Ells who led off the 13th with a walk, and stole his 9th base of the year. Youkilis finally hit his first HR of the season, and the game winner came with one out and pinch hitter Mike Cameron came on to hit for J. Hermida. Cam has been struggling all year, and after a few games of riding some pine, and thinking about whether he wants to be a part of this team, he hits a pinch-hit 3 run walk-off in the bottom of the 15th.

Great celebration at the plate as Cam tosses off the helmet and duck-struts Chuck Berry style across the plate before getting mobbed by his teammates. Perhaps this is the spark he needs to get his head back in the game, and I will start him in center field tonight as Lackey tries to put the 4-game sweep on the Rays.

                              I love this freaking game.

                                Game #30 of the Season

                                NY Yankees(CPU) 1 @ Boston(ME) 6

This was a great game, it was tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 7th when Mike Cameron hit a solo HR 425ft over everything in left field to make it 2-1. Boston scored 4 more runs in the bottom of the 8th off the Yankee bullpen. Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis remained red hot for the Red Sox. Josh Beckett was excellent again for Boston going 7+ innings allowing just 1 run.

The Red Sox are now 17-13 on the season
