Re: TNKNGM MLB10 All-Star Realism Sliders

I see you have gone to "0" for the Solid Hits. Notice anything that says you should go back to "1"?

Having very good games right now, and while I am still at 1 for Solid Hits, it certainly does not stop the CPU from jumping on a mistake and pounding it.

A-Rod killed a Bucholz gem for me by driving a hanging deuce 432 feet over the left center wall, and gave the Yankees an 8th inning 4-3 lead.

Clay pitched so well, but that was that.

Loved seeing Mo running out from the bully with that camera behind him.

So far, very locked in on these sliders, and enjoying the games.

How many games have you now completed with the 0 setting on solid hits, and is this where you figure to end up, or do you bump it back to 1?

i am really trying to use these to cut down from the outfielders getting to EVERY ball I hit. I am glad you lowered speed/reaction from 1/8 to now 0/default. Hopefully that will help I am looking forward to trying this change when I get home tonight.

Re: TNKNGM MLB10 All-Star Realism Sliders

Remember to realize the speed in the outfield as regards to the players has a lot to do with this.

With Els and Cam in the Boston outfield, with their combined speed, they are going to pretty much get to everything...

Be careful making adjustments globally until you see who you have out there.

        End of thesis. Carry on.

Dumb question: Are the updated slider changes on the website to download already??? Thanks!

Played another solid game over the weekend. Pirates (me) vs Royals. Dont have box score info as I had to run. Final score was 5-3 Pirates. Gonna stick with these sliders. Every game so far has been competitive and well played

              Not uploaded to SPortsConnect yet

I ask that you make the manual adjustments in post #1 and play a few games and give me some feedback. It should only take you 3 minutes to manually adjust the tweaks I have made.

I'm very happy with where I have these right now. Once I get feedback saying that you guys like the tweaks I have made - I will officially call this version 2 and upload to SportsConnect.

My goal is to have a final set ready for around Opening Day / Knights Rosters / Sound Packs , etc. - Then we can all start our franchises and focus on plyaing through the season instead of tweaks.

Played a game with the updated tweaks earlier. Braves (Me) @ Giants (CPU). I don't have the box score but the final score was 5-4 for me. I had 11 hits and the Giants had 7.

The game played pretty much identical to the previous version of your sliders, except I noticed it was more difficult to pitch, which is welcomed by me. I like the challenge of realizing a meatball high in the zone is going to be blasted by a good hitter, which happened to me when I left a hanging slider and Pablo Sandoval destroyed it in to SF Bay.

I don't have any complaints or anything out of the ordinary I noticed, I'm sticking with these sliders.

well i used your sliders on veteran and i had like 2 hits in 4 games, so i put timing up to 6 and then i had 16 hits. im still getting used to using the left stick. It seemed i never had to in other games, i just swung. I have pitch speed up to 8. which makes it hard to read the ball, but if i put it down any more i swing way to early.. my goodness 20 games in and won 3 games with the twins. lol quite frankly this game is pissing me off.

It was only a matter of time before reality set in. Indeed, the Reds aren't as good as I would have liked. Roy Halladay pitched lights out and only allowed 2 hits in a complete game shutout for PHI. Aaron Harang got roughed up in this start, allowing 6 runs over 5 innings, as the Reds offense couldn't muster any offense to speak of. Reds reliever Mike Lincoln pitched 3 innings of scoreless ball but the game was pretty much decided when he came into the game. Reds LF Chris Dickerson got both of the Reds hits. The Reds first hit came in the 6th, which was a check swing roller to third that Dickerson beat out.

Thew difference betweeen Veteran and All-Star is that All-Star is tougher than Veteran.....I don't know how else to exlain it.

As for your results - these sliders are made for All-Star - I suggest you put everything to the settings in these sliders and start adjusting to them - YOU WILL GET BETTER.

If you are way ahead of everything - SLOW DOWN and WAIT FOR YOUR PITCH. Are you drawing walks? Are you even getting any full counts at the plate?

I would take your pitch speed down from 8 back to the default 5 - it sounds like now you aren't ahead of everything, but you probably aren't judging balls/strikes good/bad pitches to hit.

that is true, but still why jump right into all star when i cant even get one hit like that. i dont think thats helping me much. I need to better my timing and when i start killing the cpu on veteran i can turn it up a notch. its how i always played sports games. and yes i never get walked. i swing at everything. i try not to. i cant judge the ball at all, even at 0 pitch speed. With timing up to 7 i can tho.

If it's like previous versions of the game you will need to adjust sliders when going from meter ---> classic.
