I'm not moaning at the sliders, just the Angels

I think the sliders are great, these annoyances were probably due to the game being weird more than anything, with players missing balls hit straight at them. I know it happens, but it occured two or three times in this game, all resulting in runs. Just annoying really.

Last night I lost to KC 12-6. I gave up 6 in the second inning but fought back to tie it up by the 5th. Then gave away the game in the 8th by giving up 6 more runs. The odd things was, I hit 2 Homeruns, 5 doubles and a triple and the Royals had 1 double and 13 singles!!!!

It was a great game and I completely deserved the loss as I abused my pitchers so that I would have all but 2 of them ready for the playoffs the next week.

        Excellent sliders Psycho.

Forgot to mention one thing. Of the 12 runs I gave up........only 6 were earned!!!!!

Just wondering, if I use guess pitch classic 1/4 will it make it more unrealistic or will I still lose games?

I am really digging these sliders! I'm 32-30 right now with the Cubs using them. I usually play two out of three each series, so with about 40 actual games I have played they are yielding very realistic results.

Hitting started out being really tough, and it certainly isn't easy now, but I've gotten better at it. Have to be patient and really think along with the pitcher. Feels so rewarding working the count and capitalizing on a mistake location or meatball pitch. Not too much power, only Aramis Ramirez is raking (.359, 17HR). Soriano has 12HR and D-Lee 10. And batting averages in line with the players' career .AVG. Well except for Theriot. Some games the only value he brings to my line-up is the guarantee that he'll at least make the pitcher throw three pitches lol.

Pitching is right in line too. Dempster is 6-5 with a 3.31 ERA, Zambrano is just like real life alternating between Jekyl and Hyde. I've had great games with him and some horrific ones too (8 BB in 5IP lol).

But even more than just the statistical outcome, the gameplay just feels and looks right, and the variation in types of games, from blowouts to shutouts...some days I don't want to leave the house!

Just started using these sliders on All Star.

                  Quick question.

I seem to be struggling with power. All the balls i hit long die on the warning track or before. I Rarely hit home runs and when i press L2 i see it was meatball hit perfectly i dont know do i need to raise power or would that affect other things?

                  Any tips grately appreciated.

I really hate to clutter up this forum, mainly because everyone that posts on these sliders is very respectful....i just have another L-stick question.

I've read that some of you are using these sliders with the left stick and i was wondering if you needed to make any slider adjustments (i.e. timing or contact slider)?

Swing only plays beautifully so i may end up sticking with that, but i'd like to compare the two. So far, even though my hit variety is nice, my hit totals seem to soar with the left stick.

I use the left stick with these and it's working great.
I have games where I am on with my hitting, and others where I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a canoe.
I went 3 games without any extra base hits but the next game after those I had 3 doubles, a triple and 2 HR's.
My hitting is much better now with 3 ST games to go than it was when my ST started so I have certainly improved.

I finally started using the L stick and I am getting better at it and I would recommend using it if you're struggling at the plate. I put everything back to how psycho has them set and I am on a 3 game winning streak after losing 3 straight. My last game i was down 5-1 and cut into the lead inning by inning and came out on top 6-5 in a great game full of hits. I'm starting to take more pitches and having more deep counts which has helped a lot in the hitting department, WAIT FOR YOUR PITCH! My only gripe is that i think there are to many doubles and triples.

question, what team are you playing with. used this slider for NNY in season mode, allstar hitting and pitching...and the month of April I hit 41HRs. swisher rod tex all batting 312,344, 314. Jeter 245 and posada 255 Granderson .200 though.

Been using this set now for the last 30 games or so, and this set is incredible. I hit a minor slump my first 7 or so games, then I went on an absolute tear over my next 10. I've been in close games, been blown out, etc.

Tonight though, I pitched my first no-hitter. What a great feeling! Awesome sliders, highly recommended!

hey i have a question, i see these sliders for download on the ingame sportsconnect stuff but it only lists a few categories. If I download them, does it have all of the adjustments listed in this thread, or are they like just online only sliders?

Just look at first page of this thread and enter them yourself or sportsconnect, but first page has sliders listed
