Can someone please shed some light on this Samsung TV pitch speed lag? I have a 46" LED model I bought back in October, you know the inch thick TV and have had a horrific time catching up to pitches when I play the computer, however when playing friends I can range from 2-3 runs up to 13ish. Any help would be appreciated.

The only adjustments that I am going to make is bump up injury frequency to 6. I was not seeing any injuries at default.

I think starter stamina at Default plays out very well over the long run. If anything, bumping up Hook to 6 is the only adjustment worth considering.
I realise the pitchers have varying stamina, but I was using 100 pitches as as an easy visual way to describe what I'm trying to say...

In my last game Livan Hernandez bar looked like he was good for 125 pitches or so before he'd empty, which seems high to me...

I agree that hook plus confidence plus starter fatigue is the 'equasion', and I'm fairly satisfied with how things have been playing out...

But, as I said pitchers like Livan should be empty before 125, IMHO...

I dropped manager hook to 4, I just think they are yanking pitchers too early. Rarely ever do I see them leave their starter in past the 80 pitch mark.

I've also decided to play with meter pitching and ball marker off. Has anyone tried this with these sliders? Classic pitching is annoying me to death, I have no control over where my pitches are going and I'm walking 6 to 7 batters a game. I have read complaints about meter pitching though that it's too forgiving and can be too accurate so I decided to take the ball marker off and see how it feels. Through one game I like it, I was wondering if anyone else has tried it?

I have played with classic and Psycho's sliders for the past few years and they work great...

I have all assists off and ball marker on fade...

You have to set human pitching sliders 1-2 clicks higher for both control and consistancy...

You also have to call a great game...

Know when to pitch to contact, switch up speeds and location, waste pitches on proper counts, etc...

I also pay attention to what the catcher is calling for pitch and location-wise and follow it about 75% of the time...(API is off, but the catcher will still signal one finger for x, two for circle, three for trianlgle, 4 for square and fist for a fifith pitch. etc while signaling location with the glove tapping inside or out)

I love it, because the pitchers attributes come into play and mastery of the meter doesn't come into play...

I'm thinking about going to 10 consistency, because of my lack of control. I'm on classic / HOF / all assists off including the ball marker and vibration. I have the control slider at 6 now, but isn't the consistency slider the one thats more responsible for your control this year ?

                  No

Control affects the accuracy on a fine scale. Do you miss your spot by 2 inches? 6 inches? right on where you intended it? It doesn't only affect how much you miss, but how often as well.

Consistency affects how often you COMPLETELY miss your spot, like way inside or outside, or way high and way low. It leads to more wild pitches and hit batters, and to more "Balls" that are easier to read and don't always hit the corners.

This year it also leads to more "meatballs" or pitches that miss by going right down the middle.

People have a tendency of wanting to raise Control/Consistency due to the amount of wild pitches this game causes, but it's more of the engine's fault. There are still too many even if you crank them all up to 10.

If you are finding your offense being too anemic, you're not drawing walks, and you need to have a super accurate eye to judge the corner strikes the CPU loves to throw, you're better off lowering the pitching sliders from 6/7 (at least default). Control also is related to how good the CPU hits. A fastball down the middle gets punished more when your Control is at 0 compared to 10, for example. So you might have to compensate with their hitting sliders too.

Thanks for the response Paris. It seems like all of the slider talk revolves around playing vs the Cpu. How about playing vs another human ? ( offline ). Would it be more viable to go to legend hitting ? ( if you wanted L-stick placement to be more crucial say ). Because now you wouldn't have to worry about not being able to hit off the Cpu.

Or what about the sliders ? Mabye a tougher hitting set like ... http://www.operationsports.com/forum...criptions.html would be good to use vs another human, when it might be too tough vs the cpu, say.

I'm playing my chise's on all-star and using a variation of his sliders (CPU pitching on 10 control, 10 consistency and 4 strike freq.) with PCI off. I have to say these are awesome for ALL-Star. I may end up putting the CPU pitch sliders back to his, that's how good he has it.

Played with Psychos 3.2 sliders. Great game at Citifield playing as the Marlins. Josh Johnson squeezed out 6ip, 2 walks, 7ks 3 earned runs. Citifield is beautiful in this game, i went upper deck with Uggla against Santana in left field and it was a monster shot. Things about the Marlins, their defense is horrible and not a lot of range except Maybin, their middle relief is terrible but a ton of power, paulino even had two doubles in the game. Lost bottom of the ninth, Pagan walk off RBI single but i loved every minute of it. The only thing i just cant figure out is, since i use classic, should i tweak the user control and consistancy? I used Psychos to the tee and Johnson had 118 pitches in 6ip, strike percentage was 60%. As comparison Johnsons start yesterday, his strike percentage was 64% so it really was right in line. Really feels like these will be my franchise sliders.
