No date in mind - right now we are getting good testing in and to be honest, we haven't encountered something that we feel needs to be changed.

I'm sure at some point we will tweak something, but right now it's not necessary. Be careful with the whole "final sliders" concept......when the game get's it's patch/title update it could throw some sliders a little out of whack.

Ok thanks for responding so quickly. I played 7 games last night. Going 4-3. They had a very realistic feel I struck out a lot but I wasn't being as patient as I should've been. Keep up the good work!!

Try using Zone Hitting - and I'm sure some of it has to do with the fact that you are using the bombers

I will give it a try, I only hope the real yankees hit some. I did just play in Boston and did not hit that many. Could be just some april luck

Love these sliders, my only problem is I can't hit worth a lick. I've tried all the different hit types and I feel zone hitting works best but I'm still only averaging about four hits a game. Any help would be great.

If you're hitting on all star drop down a level to veteran.
I had to and it's making the game much more enjoyable.

I have tried to find this in teh thread but its too long, has anyone used the set with the analog controls all the way around and seen if they work well or not?? Thanks in advance!

These work really well with analog pitching.
Hitting I don't know yet because my hitting is so bad.
I just started using veteran level hitting and it's helped me a lot so I am guessing analog hitting will work too.

I stopped using guess pitch last year but for an entirely different reason

When I guessed correctly, I would swing at the pitch no matter where the heck it was, over my head, in the dirt, heading towards the dugout...

I do think its a useful tool for newer players who struggle seeing the ball, especially to protect against the change in the dirt that looks like a strike every time

Indeed, Guess Pitch is obviously user preference but is the one aspect of this game i find very arcadey...its not realistic in anyway shape or form to know exactly what pitch is coming/where or indeed whats not coming, it inflates offensive numbers unrealistically, i could go on, anyway...

At the moment, myself and TNK are extremely happy with where we are at and the ONLY slight change we may make is regarding Fielding Errors, they are possibly a little lower than we would like.

Overall they are playing really well, giving all the variation we could ever want whilst keeping it realistic...stay tuned.

This is a great slider set and I'm trying to secure my sliders/level before I start my "official" season with the Yankees once the roster update comes out. I play on AllStar with timing hitting. I played the first series against the Tigers.

Game 1 Tigers win 3-1 (I got 2 hits - double and a homer)
Game 2 Yanks win 6-4 (I got 9 hits with 3 doubles and 2 homers)
Game 3 Yanks win 9-7 (I got 10 hits with a triple and 4 homers)

Overall I got 21 hits in the series with 4 doubles a triple and 7 homers. The Tigers got 24 hits with 7 doubles, a triple and 4 homers. All my homers were by the "big" guys - SWisher with 3, Tex with 2. A-Rod and Granderson with 1 each.

I have the wind slider at 3, but the wind was never stronger than 5 mph in these games. Currently, my cpu pitching sliders are at control 5, consistency 4 and frequency at 3.

The BIG difference is my pitch speed is at 2. I hit on Legend last year with pitch speed at 4, but this year I can't seem to hit with this higher than 2. I've tried at 3 and 4 but I swing at everything as I can't judge the pitches at all. And I have no chance at fastballs on the black. Eveen at 2 I strike out at least 10 times a game and am way late on those 95 mph fastballs on the corner.

So my question before I start my season - do I move up to HOF to try to reduce the power numbers? Do I stay on AllStar and lower power to 4? Do I stay on AllStar and increase pitch speed to 3 or 4? But honest to God, I think the pitch speed is a lot faster this year and anything higher than 2 frustrates the hell out of me and kind of ruins the fun. THanks

Further to my post above. I decided to try HOF level to see how I would do. I played the first 3 innings of the game against the Twins with the sliders the same as before - except I raised cpu consistency to 5 (now control and consistency at 5, frequency at 3). I left pitch speed at 2 - as that seems to be my comfort zone.

The Twins scored 3 in the first (only extra base was a double - what's with Morneau batting 2nd?) Then I scored 3 in the 2nd off 3 solo homers (A-Rod, Cano and Granderson) and then 3 more in the 3rd (Cano a 2-run homer). So after 3 innings I had 7 hits - a double and 4 homers).

Although it is only 3 innings I guess I've proved to myself that I can likely handle HOF level. But it seems like the only way I can stop my homer frenzy is to increase pitch speed from 2 to 3 and working my way up to 4. I don't like lowering the power slider as I am concerned that the non-power guys like Jeter and Gardner will NO chance of ever hitting a homerun. So it looks like to me pitch speed plays a big role in reducing power numbers.

with these sliders, the only way the cpu scores on me is off of a HR...i think i need to lower the power of the cpu by 1...any thoughts? maybe up solid hits for them instead?

I'm loving these sliders.

I just got done playing as the Mets against the Cubs, and it was a great one.
I won 2-1. I had 10 hits and the Cubs had 7.

I've played 4 games so far and I'm 2-2 (exhibitions). I've had three low-scoring games and one that I lost 8-5.

Feels good to know that when the Full Minors rosters drop, I'll be ready to start my franchise.

Are you using them exactly as in post #1 of the thread?

We are raising Fielding Errors to 7 to try and create more botched grounders, dropped fly balls, etc. I will update post #1 of the thread but we are NOT going to put a new release on Sports Connect for this. Please manually update your sliders for this adjustment.
