Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

Coach C if you search for my last post I have my entire stat lines listed for my Braves franchise (only like 5 games left in the season, every single game played by me no sims). That should give you an idea of the season stats that can be achieved with these sliders.

If I remember right Bourn had around like 65-68 steals.

Juan Pierre led the league with like 74.

Oh ok steals looks legit also. I just played my first franchise game with these sliders and it was acually by far the funest game ive played on the show this year. Thanks TNK you hv save this game for me. I use analog batting and pitchin and your sliders work perfect. Even tho a small sample size(2 exhibition, 1 franchise gm) so far but game is playing great. Thanks

If you struggle with hitting - don't be afraid to increase human contact, timing and power by 1 click only....then give it 5 to 10 games before making any other tweaks

                    TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BALTIMORE ORIOLES @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #26 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Jake Arrietta vs. Jon Lester)

The Red Sox look to get back into the win column after being swept in their last series by Oakland as they send their ace Jon Lester to the hill against Jake Arrietta for the Orioles. Baltimore grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st as Adam Jones delivered an RBI single with 2 outs. The game remained 1-0 heading into the bottom of the 3rd inning when Mike Aviles hit a leadoff triple down the RF line and he came in to score as Jacoby Ellsbury hit a groundball out to the right side for the 1st out and the score was tied at 1-1 after 3 innings of play. Jake Arrietta was on his game as he had 6 K's through 4 innings. Jon Lester was equally impressive and the score remained 1-1 heading into the 6th inning. The Orioles loaded the bases with nobody out to begin the top of the 6th and Adam Jones delviered an RBI single to make it 2-1. Matt Weiters was up next and he ripped a line drive back at the mound that hit Lester in the head, Youkilis grabbed the ball and threw out Weiters at 1st base for the out but a run scored to make it 3-1. Lester was injured on the play and had to leave the game, he was replaced on the mound by Vicente Padilla who recorded the last 2 outs of the inning to escape further damage and Baltimore had a 3-1 lead. The Orioles made it 4-1 in the top of the 7th on an RBI single by Nolan Reimold. Arrietta continued to dominate as he set the Red Sox down in order in the bottom of the 7th and the Orioles would take their 4-1 lead into the 8th inning. Rich Hill retired the Orioles in order in the top of the 8th inning. Arrietta remained in the game for the bottom of the 8th and he retired the Red Sox in order as he gave his team 8 outstanding innings on the mound. The Orioles turned to Kevin Gregg out of the pen for the bottom of the 9th and he pitched a 1-2-3 inning to record his 1st save of the season as the Orioles win 4-1 to extend the Sox losing streak to 4 games.

                    * The Red Sox sent RP Mark Melancon and RP Clay Mortensen down to AA Pawtucket before the game and called up RP Andrew Miller and RP Rich Hill

                    * The Red Sox have now lost 4 straight ball games to drop their record to 13-13 and will send Josh Beckett to the mound tomorrow as they look to get back in the win column

                    * Rich Hill made his season debut and performed well as he pitched 2.1 innings of relief out of the pen without allowing a run.

                    * Jake Arrietta was fantastic for Baltimore as he went 8 innings and allowed 1 run on just 4 hits as the Red Sox could not get the offense going

                    * Jon Lester left the game after being struck in the head with a line drive but should be OK to make his next start as he is only out for a few days.

                      TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BALTIMORE ORIOLES @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #27 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Wei-Yin Chen vs. Josh Beckett)

The Red Sox look to snap their 4 game losing skid as they send Josh Beckett to the mound. The Orioles got off to a quick start as Reimold led off with a single, stole 2nd base and came in to score on an RBI single by JJ Hardy to make it 1-0 before an out was recorded. Adam Jones hit an RBI double off the green monster to make it 2-0. The Red Sox got on the board in the bottom of the 1st as Adrian Gonzalez hit a sac fly to RF and Jacoby Ellsbury just beat a great throw by Markakis to make it 2-1. Beckett pitched out of trouble in the top of the 2nd after Baltimore had runners at the corners with no outs but were unable to score. The Red Sox tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the 3rd inning on the 2nd sac fly of the game by Adrian Gonzalez. Both Beckett and Chen settled into grooves and the game would head to the 7th inning still tied at 2-2. Beckett continued to get stronger as the game went on and he retired the O's in order in the top of the 7th. The Red Sox took their 1st lead of the game as Marlon Byrd took Chen's 1st pitch of the 7th inning over the monster for a solo HR to give Boston a 3-2 lead. Buck Showalter came out to get Chen and brought in Darren O'Day who retired the side to send the game to the 8th inning with the Red Sox leading 3-2. Beckett stayed in for the bottom of the 8th, recorded the 1st two outs and his day was finished after throwing 102 pitches as Bobby Valentine turned the ball over to Franklin Morales to get the lefty lefty matchup with Nick Markakis coming up. Morales got the job done as he got Markakis to ground out to Pedroia to end the inning. O'Day remained in the game and retired the side despite allowing a single to Youkilis and the game would head to the 9th inning with Boston leading 3-2. The Red Sox turned to their closer Alfredo Aceves for the top of the 9th with Jones, Weiters and Reynolds due up for Baltimore. Adam Jones flew out to RF for the 1st out, Weiters was up next and he hit a hard groundball up the middle but Mike Aviles made a great play and his throw beat Weiters for the 2nd out. The Orioles were down to their final out as Mark Reynolds stepped in and he fought off some tough pitches to stay alive before grounding out to Aviles to end the game as the Red Sox snap their 4 game skid with a 3-2 victory.

                      * The Red Sox snap their 4 game losing streak and will send Clay Buchholz to the mound tomorrow in the rubber match of this 3 game series.

                      * Kevin Youkilis went 3 for 4 to raise his average to .232

                      * Josh Beckett allowed 2 runs in the 1st inning, but he was lights out the rest of the way as he didn't allow another run and went 7.2 innings for his 3rd win of the season

                        TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BALTIMORE ORIOLES @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #28 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Jason Hammel vs. Clay Buchholz)

The Red Sox and Orioles paly the rubber match of this 3 game set with Jason Hammel set to face Clay Buchholz on the mound. The Orioles scored in the top of the 1st for the 3rd day in a row as Nolan Reimold led off the game with a double and came home to score on a sac fly to CF by Nick Markakis for an early 1-0 lead. Mark Reynolds delivered an RBI single to make it 2-0. The Red Sox were struggling to get going offensively as Hammel was keeping them off balance and the Orioles were leading 2-0 at the end of the 4th inning. Baltimore went to work in the top of the 5th as Robert Adino singled, Reimold doubled and then JJ Hardy picked up 2 RBI on a single to CF to increase the O's lead to 4-0. The Orioles knocked Buchholz out of the game without recording an out in the 5th as they loaded the bases and Bobby Valentine had seen enough and made the call to the bullpen for Andrew Miller to face Matt Weiters. Miller got Weiters to hit into a 4-6-3 double play but Hardy would score to make it 5-0. Hammel continued to cruise as he struck out the side in the bottom of the 5th to give him 7 K's through the 1st 5 innings and the boo birds were out at Fenway. Hammel got Adrian Gonzalez to gorund into a double play to end the 7th inning and we would go to the 8th with the Orioles leading 5-0. Scott Atchison pitched the bottom of the 8th for Boston and the bullpen is keeping them in the game. The Red Sox finally got on the board in the bottom of the 8th when David Ortiz took a pitch opposite way for a solo HR into the monster seats to make it a 5-1 game. Cody Ross was up next and made it back to back HRs as he crushed a hanging curve from Hammel 416 feet for a solo HR to cut the Orioles lead to 5-2. Hammel struck out Nick Punto for his 10th K of the game to end the 8th and send the game to the 9th inning with Baltimore leading 5-2. Adam Jones added an important insurance run in the top of the 9th with an RBI double to make it 6-2. The Orioles called on Matt Lindstrom to pitch the bottom of the 9th and he walked Ellsbury to start the inning, Ryan Sweeney was up next and he lined a single into LF to give the Red Sox hopes of a rally with no outs. Orioles closer Jim Johnson came on to face Dustin Pedroia and he laced a double into the gap to score Ellsbury and cut the lead to 6-3 and bring the tying run to the plate. Adrian Gonzalez was up next and hit a sac fly to LF to drive in Sweeney and make it a 6-4 game with 1 out. Johnson struck out Kevin Youkilis for the 2nd out and it would be up to Big Papi as the Sox were down to their final out. Ortiz battled hard and fouled off a few pitches but Johnson would strike him out to end the game and the Orioles win by a score of 6-4 as the Red Sox comeback falls short.

                        * The Red Sox struggles continue as the Orioles come into Boston and take 2 out of 3. The Sox have now lost 5 of their last 6 games and will head to Kansas City for a 3 game series with the Royals.

                        * Nolan Reimold was 5 for 5 with 4 doubles in the game and was an abslute beast in this series as he went 10 for 14 with 5 doubles, 6 runs scored and 1 RBI in the 3 game series. Reimold leads the AL with a .398 batting average and has 5 HR and 18 RBI on the season.

                          TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BOSTON RED SOX @ KANSAS CITY ROYALS
GAME #29 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Felix Doubront vs. Felipe Paulino)

The Red Sox look to get back on track as they head to Kansas City to begin a 3 game series with the Royals having lost 5 of their last 6 games. The Red Sox send Felix Doubront to the mound against Felipe Paulino for Kansas City. The Red Sox came out swinging and batted around in the top of the 1st as they pounded out 7 runs on 7 hits. Royals starter Felipe Paulino couldn't get out of the 1st inning as Vin Mazzaro was summoned from the bullpen and the Red Sox had a commanding 7-0 lead after the top of the 1st inning. Boston added to the lead in the top of the 2nd on an RBI double by Cody Ross to make it 8-0. Alex Gordon got the Royals on the board in the bottom of the 2nd with a solo HR to RF to make it 8-1 after 2 innings. The Royals bullpen was doing some outstanding work and Felix Doubront was pitching great for Boston as the score remained 8-1 entering the 8th inning. The Red Sox had runners at 2nd & 3rd with one out in the top of the 8th and Dustin Pedroia picked up an RBI single to make it 9-1. Adrian Gonzalez was up next and picked up his 4th hit of the night as he singled to RF to drive in a run and make it 10-1. The Royals got to Doubront in the bottom of the 8th as Lorenzo Cain stroked an RBI double to make it 10-2, Billy Butler then drew a walk and the bases were loaded with 1 out for Alex Gordon. Doubront got Gordon out in front of a nasty changeup and Gordon hit into an easy 4-6-3 double play to end the inning and the game would go to the 9th inning with Boston leading 10-2. Matt Albers pitched the bottom of the 9th for Boston as the Red Sox win in convincing fashion by blowing the Royals out by a score of 10-2

                          * The Red Sox had their biggest inning of the season in the top of the 1st as they sent 11 men to the plate on their way to putting 7 runs on the board without hitting a homerun.

                          * Boston put up 10 runs in the ballgame on 17 hits without hitting any homeruns in the game

                          * Adrian Gonzalez went 4 for 5 and is now hitting .299 with 10 HR and 26 RBI on the season

                          * Felix Doubront had a great outing for Boston as he went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs while stiking out 7 to pickup his 2nd win of the season

                          * Red Sox OF Darnell McDonald has been placed on the 15 day DL as he is out with back stiffness. The Red Sox called up 3B Will Middlebrooks from AAA Pawtucket to take his place on the roster and give Youkilis a some needed rest.

                            TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BOSTON RED SOX @ KANSAS CITY ROYALS
GAME #30 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Daniel Bard vs. Bruce Chen)

The Red Sox top prospect Will Middlebrooks is set to make his major league debut as Boston and Kansas City paly the 2nd game of this 3 game series. The Red Sox got off to a quick start again as Adrian Gonzalez stroked a 2-run HR in the top of the 1st to give Boston a 2-0 lead. The Royals got on the board in the bottom of the 2nd when Yuniesky Betancourt blooped a single to shallow RF to score Moustakas and make it a 2-1 game. The Red Sox made it 3-1 in the top of the 3rd inning when Marlon Byrd tripled and came in to score on an RBI single by Jacoby Ellsbury. The Red Sox offense exploded for 5 runs in the top of the 4th inning as Will Middlebrooks singled for his 1st career hit and they loaded the bases with nobody out. Kelly Shoppach singled to score two runs to make it 5-1. Jacoby Ellsbury made it 6-1 with an RBI double, and then RBI singles by Mike Aviles and Dustin Pedroia made it 8-1 before the inning mercifully came to an end. Billy Butler crushed a slider form Bard for a 420 foot solo HR to CF to cut the Boston lead to 8-2 after 4 innings of play. The Royals had a chance to get back in the game in the bottom of the 6th with 2 men in scoring position but Bard got Jeff Francoeur to fly out to RF to end the inning and send the game to the 7th inning with Boston leading 8-2. David Ortiz launched a 3-run HR the opposite way to LF in the top of the 8th to increase the Red Sox lead to 11-2. Rich Hill pitched a scoreless 8th inning for Boston despite giving up a couple hits and the game would head to the 9th inning with Boston leading 11-2. Jeff Francoeur led off the bottom of the 9th and he belted a solo HR to LF off Rich Hill to make it 11-3 but Hill would record the final three outs as the Red Sox win 11-3

                            * The Red Sox have outscored the Royals 21-5 as they have taken the 1st two games of this series and will look for the sweep tomorrow with Jon Lester on the mound against Luke Hochevar for the Royals

                            * Will Middlebrooks impressed in his major league debut as he went 2 for 4 with a single, double, a run scored and a walk.

                            * Dustin Pedroia went 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Pedroia was hitting .167 after 20 games but has turned it around over hitting .368 (14 for 38) in his last 9 games played to raise his average to .230 on the season
