Just raise your Contact and Timing by 1 click and play the 10 games

      hey TNK,
i have done this before AND i'm not struggling to get runs its i'm gettin about 70% of my runs are HR and i need to balance it out by getting more RBIs and won't raising contact from 6 to 7 just increase the chance for more home runs,

what i was asking is wouldn't reducing contact + timing from 6 to 5 help that?

      hope this is explained ok
thanks for all the help guys

Is there any slider I can raise to make CPU batters chase more breaking balls/changeups out of the zone? It's so annoying using a changeup pitcher and not being able to punch any out because they never chase below the zone.

Thank you TNK for the sliders! I just finished 1st season w/Red Sox (88-74, 5GB) and it was very enjoyable! (except for seeing the Yanks pig-pile celebration on my screen after they clinched the AL East, only consolation was I beaned Mark Texiera in the head following Curtis Granderson HR and injured him for playoffs) keep up the good work!

Not a slider issue - you need to pitch better

Would these sliders work for the timing hitting and classic pitching TNK?

Okay, cool. I have grown fond of the timing and classing options but I may try out the zone/meter as well. I'm starting my Braves franchise over so I can start it with the OS updated rosters instead of the default one's I was playing on so I will let you know how these work out for me as I'm going to play the spring games to get a feel and hopefully these will take me throughout the entire season.

                    TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BOSTON RED SOX @ CHICAGO CUBS
GAME #65 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Daisuke Matsuzaka vs. Travis Wood)

The Red Sox and Cubs begin a three game series at Wrigley Field as Boston sends Daisuke Matsuzaka to the mound for his 2nd start of the season and the Cubs will counter with Travis Wood. The Red Sox jumped out to a lead in the top of the 1st on a 2-run HR by Adrian Gonzalez. The Cubs were threatening in the bottom of the 2nd after a two out double by Ian Stewart setup runners at 2nd & 3rd but Matsuzaka would freeze Darwin Barney with a cutter on the inside corner to get out of the jam and the Red Sox had a 2-0 lead after 2 innings of play. Kevin Youkilis made a stellar diving catch of a line drive to rob Starlin Castro to end the 3rd and we would head to the 4th inning with Boston leading 2-0. Jarrod Saltalamacchia made it 3-0 in the top of the 4th as he crushed a 414 foot bomb to that hit off the chain link fence behind the bleachers in LF for a solo HR. The Cubs got on the board with one out in the bottom of the 4th as Brian Lahair stroked a double down the RF line and came in to score on an RBI single by Geovany Soto to make it 3-1. Matsuzaka hung a curveball to Darwin Barney later in the inning and he blasted a 2-run HR to LF to tie the game at 3-3 and we would head to the 5th inning with the game tied. Matsuzaka was having control issues and the Cubs had their 1st two men reach base in the bottom of the 5th with the heart of the order coming up. Starlin Castro would beat out a slow rolling double play ball to setup runners at the corners with one out for Alfonso Soriano. Matsuzaka would get a groundball from Soriano to Pedroia but he hustled down the line and just beat the throw from Aviles to avoid the inning ending double play which allowed Campana to score and give the Cubs a 4-3 lead. Jacoby Ellsbury would lead off the 6th inning with a single and he stole 2nd base to get into scoring position with nobody out. Pedroia would ground out and Ellsbury would move up to 3rd. Adrian Gonzalez came up and hit a fly ball to LF and Ellsbury would just beat the throw home from Soriano to tie the game at 4-4. Kevin Youkilis doubled with two outs but Wood would get Saltalamacchia to ground out to end the inning. Matsuzaka got Ian Stewart to hit into a double play in the bottom of the 6th to finish his day as he was approaching the 100 pitch mark and we would go to the 7th inning with the score tied 4-4. Shawn Camp would take over on the mound for Chicago in the top of the 7th and he would strike out Will Middlebrooks who pinch hitting in the pitchers spot with Aviles on 2nd base to end the top of hte 7th. Andrew Miller came in to pitch the bottom of the 7th and Tony Campana would single with one out and steal 2nd base to give the Cubs a chance to take the lead. Miller got DeJesus to ground out to Pedroia and Campana would move up to 3rd base with two outs and Starlin Castro would deliver an RBI single to CF to give the Cubs a 5-4 lead. Alfonso Soriano was up next and he stayed back on a changeup from Miller and crushed a 2-run HR to CF to increase the Chicago lead to 7-4 heading into the 8th inning. James Russell came in to pitch the top of the 8th and the Red Sox would get back to back singles from Pedroia and Gonzalez but Russell would get out of the jam as he picked Pedroia off 2nd base and struck out Youkilis to get out of the inning as the Red Sox blow a golden opportunity. Scott Atchison pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 8th and the Red Sox would come up for their last at bat trailing by 3 runs as the Cubs had a 7-4 lead. Chicago closer Carlos Marmol would come in for the top of the 9th looking to close it out and he would strike out with some electric stuff as the Cubs get a big win by a score of 7-4.

                    * The Red Sox 5 game winning streak is snapped as the Cubs take game 1 of the series. Tomorrows game will feature a great pitching matchup as Jon Lester will face Ryan Dempster.

                    * Adrian Gonzalez remains red hot as he goes 2 for 3 with a HR and 3 RBI. Gonzalez now leads the AL with 53 RBI

                    * Jacoby Ellsbury went 3 for 4 to push his team leading average to .336 on the season. Ellsbury is currently 3rd in the AL in batting average

                    * I am going to stop doing the huge game stories and just start doing some notes for each game to save some time. Doing these full writeups takes a lot of time and I want to speed up the process of playing my games.

                      TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BOSTON RED SOX @ CHICAGO CUBS
GAME #66 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Jon Lester vs. Randy Wells)

The Red Sox took a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st on a solo HR by Dustin Pedroia. Mike Aviles led off the top of the 3rd with a great 10 pitch at bat and crushed the 10th pitch from Wells for a solo HR to LF to make it 2-0. Dustin Pedroia belted his 2nd HR of the game in his 2nd at bat as he hooked a line drive around the LF foul pole to make it 3-0. Jon Lester was cruising on the mound and the Red Sox had a 3-0 lead after 4 innings. Boston tacked on three more runs with two outs in the top of the 5th as Adrian Gonzalez picked up his 2nd double of the game to drive in Lester who drew a walk earlier in the inning. David Ortiz would follow with an RBI single to make it 5-0. Cubs manager Dale Sveum would bring in Casey Coleman to replace Wells and Kevin Youkilis greeted him with a double to score Ortiz all the way from 1st to make it 6-0. Jon Lester was injured in the bottom of the 5th and had to leave the game and he was replaced by Matt Albers on the mound. Albers did a tremendous job out of the pen as he gave the Red Sox 3 strong innings and we would go to the 8th inning with the Sox leading by a score of 6-0. Jeff Baker got the Cubs on the board with one out in the bottom of the 8th as he belted a solo HR off Mark Melancon to make it 6-1. Reed Johnson would add an RBI singled to pull the Cubs within 4 runs as we would head to the 9th inning with Boston leading 6-2. The Red Sox added some insurance off Rafael Dolis in the top of the 9th as Adrian Gonzalez stroked his 3rd double of the game to drive in a run and make it a 7-2 game. Vicente Padilla retired the Cubs in order in the bottom of the 9th as the Red Sox win 7-2.

                      * The Red Sox even up the series at a game apiece and the teams will play the rubber match tomorrow with a great pitching matchup as Josh Beckett and Matt Garza will square off on the mound.

                      * Ryan Dempster was scheduled to start for the Cubs but Randy Wells was forced to make an emergency start as Dempster was scratched with a Bruised Leg and is out 1 to 6 days

                      * Adrian Gonzalez continues his recent tear as he went 3 for 5 with 3 doubles and 2 RBI. Gonzalez is batting .450 over his last 10 games. Gonzalez is having an outstanding season and is a legit triple crown threat as he is currently 4th in the AL in average (.331), 3rd in HR (17), and leads the league in RBI (55)

                      * Jon Lester left the game with a an injury and the Red Sox dodge a bullet as Lester is only going to be out for a few days with a Bruised Hand and will not require a stint on the DL

                          TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BOSTON RED SOX @ CHICAGO CUBS
GAME #67 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Josh Beckett vs. Matt Garza)

Both Beckett and Garza were dealing early in this game as we would play through the 1st 3 innings with no score 0-0 while the Cubs have managed just 1 hit off Beckett and Garza has not allowed a hit yet in the game as we head to the 4th inning. The Red Sox took advantage of a couple errors by the Cubs in the top of the 4th and Jarrod Saltalamacchia lined a two out RBI single up the middle to give Boston a 1-0 lead. Beckett was rolling as he had limited the Cubs to just two hits through 5 innings and the Sox had a 1-0 lead entering the 6th inning. Adrian Gonzalez continued to rake as he led off the 6th with a solo HR to RF to make it 2-0. The Cubs got a run in the bottom of the 6th on a pinch hit RBI single by Starlin Castro who was hitting for Garza to cut the Boston lead to 2-1 heading into the 7th inning. Beckett remained in the game for the bottom of the 7th and Alfonso Soriano led off with a solo HR to tie the game at 2-2. Beckett would get through the inning and we would go to the 8th inning tied at 2-2. Shawn Camp got David Ortiz to fly out to end the top of the 8th with Adrian Gonzalez on base to keep the game tied 2-2. The Cubs would have two men on with two outs in the bottom of the 8th but Franklin Morales would get David DeJesus to grond out to end the inning and we would go the 9th locked in a 2-2 tie. James Russell came on to pitch the top of the 9th and he served up a meatball to Will Middlebrooks who unloaded on a hanging curveball and crushed it 406 feet to LF for a solo HR to break the tie and give the Red Sox a 3-2 lead. Alfredo Aceves entered the game for the bottom of the 9th looking to record the save and recorded the 1st two outs with ease before allowing a two out double to Ian Stewart. Adrian Cardenas would come in to run for Stewart as he represented the tying run in scoring position. Steve Clevenger would come up with a chance to be a hero and he hammered a fastball from Aceves to RF but Ryan Sweeney would track the ball down and make a running catch at the warning track for the final out as the Red Sox win 3-2.

                          * The Red Sox take 2 out of 3 from the Cubs and have won 7 of their last 9 games. Boston will head home for a 3 game series with the Miami Marlins

                          * Adrian Gonzalez continued to mash as he went 2 for 4 with a HR. Gonzalez went 7 for 12 for a .583 average in the series with 3 doubles, 2 HR and 6 RBI

DO NOT have the visual cursor on the screen!!!!

Just see the pitch and aim your swing using the Left joystick.....if the pitch is low and away, hit X to swing and point the Left joystick low and away.

It's 2012 - you should not be batting by just pressing X.....it takes ZERO SKILL

I didn't even know you could take that PCI cursor off? I might switch to zone hitting now because even on timing, I use the left stick and move it towards the pitch location even though it has no effect.

Definitely looking forward to starting this Braves chise up now. I will keep you updated TNK.
