I swear, neither team could get an out. Their pitchers just kept grooving a pitch down the middle once almost every at bat. I just had to wait. It was like HR derby. And I could just not get a pitch to get them out with. There was one inning where I was on defense and had 3 double play attempts in one inning. 2 of those attempts ended with throws into the outfield for errors. I'm glad this game is over and I came away with a win, but damn this game is fun. So many tight low run games and then bang, out of no where, a game like this ...

Yes. I use his sliders. On the season my team is middle of the road batting average, middle of the road runs, and in the top ten in ERA as a team. So this just blew my mind.

THAT IS INSANE, so ur getting a mixture of results in games ie singles, doubles, HRs etc

i'm really struggling atm with these sliders but just need to practice i guess, i use the rangers and can only get like 4 hits a game with the odd run.

Lastly approx what % are HR and what are RBIs

Yeah, I'm getting great results. I get tons of singles, am middle of the league in doubles, and previous to this game was 13th in HR's. I use to strike out a ton, but have learned that it's all about waiting on that one pitch, at least until their are two strikes. So, I even take a lot of strikes now if they aren't in the zone I'm looking. Once I did this, my hits per game has gone up. I was averaging 4 to 5 hits a game, and now land somewhere in the 7 to 10 zone. Though I have plenty of games where I had 2 hits and a few games 10+. So I'm getting a larger variety. I now am also getting 2-4 walks per game which is a result of patience, thought I've had games with 0. I also have games where I strike out 3 times and others where I've struck out 14 times.

I don't know the average - but the stats are good.

YOU NEED TO BE A BETTER HITTER - lay off the crap, take pitches and swing at good pitches......that's the key - once you become a better batter the sliders will reflect that

If anything - boost you contact, power and timing by 1 click

            DO NOT TOUCH SOLID HITS

....and don't make a bunch of changes - no more than a couple things 1 click if necessary or you will throw things out of whack.

BOTTOM LINE - when you become a better hitter, you will get the results.

I would also NEVER BAT ON PITCHER CAM....switch to the CATCHER CAM and try to adjust a custom camera to something close to the one in the first post of the thread - you need to bat form a batters point of view

do you HAVE to use zone hitting for these to work? cuz i am atrocious at hitting and can't do anything with zone. what would happen if i went to timing?

                TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

WASHINGTON NATIONALS @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #61 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Chien-Ming Wang vs. Jon Lester)

The Red Sox and Nationals play the rubber match of this 3 game series on a rainy day at Fenway with Chien-Ming Wang facing Red Sox ace Jon Lester. The Nationals struck in the first inning as Ryan Zimmerman and Mike Morse hit back to back doubles with two outs to take a 1-0 lead. The Red Sox had two men in scoring position after Cody Ross doubled with one out in the bottom of the 2nd. Ryan Sweeney would ground out to SS and Desmond would throw to 3rd base to cut down Ross but the Youkilis would score on the play to tie the game at 1-1. Jon Lester struck out Rick Ankiel with two men on to end the top of the 4th and we were still tied at 1-1. David Ortiz took a fastball from Wang the opposite way into the monster seats for a solo HR to give the Red Sox a 2-1 lead at the end of 4 innings. Wang and Lester both pitched good innings in the 5th and we would go to the 6th inning with Boston leading 2-1. Mike Morse led off the top of the 6th with a bomb to straight away CF for a solo HR to tie the game at 2-2. Jon Lester finished his day by pitching a 1-2-3 top of the 7th as he reached the 100 pitch mark to end a solid outing and the score remained 2-2. Tyler Clippard relieved Wang to start the bottom of the 7th and retired the Sox in order to send the game to the 8th inning tied 2-2. Vicente Padilla would come in from the Red Sox bullpen to begin the top of the 8th and pitched a 1-2-3 inning on just 6 pitches. Clippard pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 8th and we would head to the 9th inning with the score deadlocked at 2-2. Xavier Nady doubled off Padilla with two outs in the top of the 9th to give the Nationals a runner in scoring position. Roger Bernadina pinch ran for Nady at 2nd base and Adam Laroche was called on to pich hit. Bobby Valentine countered by bringing in lefty Franklin Morales to face Laroche. Morales would get Laroche to ground out to Youkilis at 3rd base to end the inning and the Red Sox would have a chance to win it in the bottom of the 9th for the 2nd day in a row. Clippard remained in the game and got the 1st two outs before Kevin Youkilis singled to put the winning run on base. Cody Ross was up next and he grounded out to end the inning and send the game to extra innings tied 2-2. Morales retired the Nats in order in the top of the 10th. Ryan Sweeney drew a leadoff walk to start the bottom of the 10th and he was bunted into scoring position by Kelly Shoppach. Mike Aviles would ground out for the 2nd out and Sweeney would move up to 3rd base. Jacoby came up with two outs and after a long at bat he grounded a ball just past the dive Espinosa at 2nd base into RF as Sweeney trotted home from 3rd with the winning run as the Red Sox get a walkoff hit for the 2nd straight day and win 3-2.

                * Jon Lester gave the Red Sox another strong outing as he continues to turn things around after going through a rough stretch as he has gone 16 innings and allowed just 2 runs while striking out 18 over his last two starts.

                * The Red Sox take 2 out of 3 from the Nationals and will head out on the road for a 6 game road trip in National League parks as they head to Miami for a 3 game set with the Marlins and then Chicago for 3 games with the Cubs.

I use timing and i get great results. I am using the Yankees.

Im roughly 8th in BA, T-1st in HR's, 1st in Runs, 12th in doubles, 20th in triples, 16th in SB, 3rd in walks and 18th in ERA (I play hof pitching). These are the best sliders out there.

BTW for those who say too many runs come off home runs, i just won 12-4 not hitting a single home run. I had 15 hits.

MY FIRST GAME WITH THESE SLIDERS when i have been competitive,(as have really struggled lately)

both teams had 2 solo HRs, i need to work on pitching badly

lastly, TNK do u feel there are quite a few diving catches by the cpu, i was robbed of a hit a couple of times

Buddy - every time you see more than one of something.....are you going to ask me if there is too much of it?

                          Are there too many HR?
Are there a good mix of singles, doubles, etc?
Are there too many diving catches?

Just play the game and trust in the results that these sliders produce......ask these questions after banging out 50 games with these sliders and going through the ups and downs in your season. You'll have stretches where you mash, stretches where you can't hit squat, stretches where everything finds a hole and stretches where the CPU defense makes great plays.

Throw more balls....when you are ahead in the count, throw off the plate and get the computer to chase. Don't be afraid to work high in the zone

Because of my crazy last game, I felt it might be good to post the next game. Once again, errors plagued Cabrera at 3rd ultimately costing me the game. Game went 13 innings and I burned through my bullpen. Bosch hit a 12th inning liner to right but the runner on second was gunned out at the plate. In the top of the 13th, a game winning ground rule double by Butler scored their runner from second. In the bottom of the 13th, I failed to get the runner home from 3rd giving the victory to the Royals.

So once again, sliders are playing great. But dang, the Tigers fielding is killing me right now. Last 3 games I've been plagued by errors.
