Again you cant take stock on the ball not getting to 3rd base in the air from RF. Just pay attention on how quick it gets from RF to 3rd, with it above 3 the throws just get to their desired locations way too fast. With arm strengh above 3 there are just way too many OF assist. Its damn near impossible to score from 2b on a hit to the OF.

Respectively disagree. I have arm strength on 4 and RARELY do I see the human or CPU throw anyone out from the outfield. I have baserunner speed at 4, as well.

Another 1 run game. That's 13 in a row. If I score 7 CPU finds a way to score 6. If I score 2 CPU scores 3. Not realistic.20 games in 12 extra inning games. About to put it down forever. If um up 6-0 I know the final will be 6-5 or 7-6. No matter what I do. Buggish pathetic

Playing with Atlanta and kimbrel era is 9.04 six blown saves. Venters 7.67 and he is 0-6. Not real.

My latest game I was up 6-2. Chipper made 2 errors followed by 2 infield chopper hits and then of course the ball up the middle the hits the pitcher for a hit. Then my favorite. The towering deep fly ball that it looks like your outfielder is caught in mud. Can't catch it. Ground rule double. The snowball effect in this game is do over dramatic its comical. Not real baseball.

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

                which team do you use?
the boston in this game are really good, tnk use them, maybe is for this that he can win with such gaps..
im using Indians and i found really difficult to win a game, i'm using my sliders with a bit tweak and finally i have matches with much realism.
for me the difference in sliders makes is based on which team a person choose..
tnk use one of the best, by myself, team of mlb. i played with his slider set for a while and i found terrible difficult win a solo game.
i played versus boston in my chise one day ago and they destroyed me.
i want to know if tnk will destroy indians when he will play vs them in future.
i know that theres a variability of score in this game and every game is not the same, but in that match, i found a huge divary between this two teams.

for me cpu contact at 6 is foolish, the cpu when have to score, it will score surely with contact at 0 also.
the things that made me broke in this game is that if i'm up in run score, i can't keep it for next inning, it seems that cpu must score perfectly the inning after, sometimes i thought is a bug, always happened.
i dunno what to think, if i pitch well, CPU will hit balls also out of the zone and magically they score.

another thing that i noticed is that tnk begun to win with gap frequently until he changed hitting mode in zone.
i'm using timing, and is f***** difficult to score, for this i bumped up contact and timing in my slider set and bumped down cpu consistency and control in pitching..

Has nothing to do with not being realistic. You have to pitch better late in games. I've had plenty of games where I've had a comfortable lead and blown it in the late innings. That's why baseball is so great. Anything can happen.

Kimbrel and Venters pitch great in real life, but if you don't pitch well with them in the game, those are the results you'll get. Has nothing to do with bugs.

I'm all for realism too, but to get that you also have to be cool with not winning every game too. In my last 13 games in my Phillies franchise, I had an 11 game winning streak followed by 2 consecutive losses to the Diamondbacks. I have a 4 game set coming up with the Cubs, and if the last 2 games are any indication, my team may be beginning to slump a bit on the offensive side. But that's baseball.

Play around with different pitching methods and see what you like best. Personally, I use Classic pitching and Timing hitting.

Don't give up on the game. It's great.

Just a thought. I too was getting a lot of 1 run games initially. Then I watched a real life game where they highlighted all the pitches Justin Verlander threw to 3 consecutive batters, and how he changed locations, inside, outside, low in the zone, high in the zone, not afraid to throw balls, etc... and realized I had a pattern to how I was pitching late in games.

Since then, I've gone to throwing different types of pitches I never would have thrown, and in locations I never would have thrown in different counts. I've also got in the habit of utilizing mound visits more often, calling in relievers more often, calling relievers for the righty / lefty match ups, calling in relievers to throw to only one batter. So instead of my always going at it like a video game, going at it like a real pro game would. And to my surprise, I have not had a 1 run game, or any late inning rubber banding effect in my last 15 games.

Maybe you've fallen into a pattern you haven't recognized yet. Try doing some things you never would have done before and see what happens. Good luck. This is truly an amazing game and these are great set of sliders.

Exactly. And it especially has nothing to do with these sliders. You have to pitch better. The end. I am a Mets fan in real life. Have you seen how they have won the last 2 games? In both games, they have been down by 1 run in the bottom of the ninth. In both games, the Marlins WALKED THE BASES LOADED and then WALKED IN THE TYING RUN. In The Show, how pissed would you be if you walked the bases loaded and then blew the lead? What are the chances of that happening twice in back to back games? The point I'm trying to make is there are crazy things that happen in videogames (that don't seem realistic) and we cannot discredit them because anomalies happen in real life baseball games, as well. That is the beauty of baseball and averages. Don't get discouraged about your 1 run games.

I use these sliders and enjoy them. IMO sliders are there to make the game feel real TO YOU. So if your having trouble, just do slight modifications to fit your playstyle.

                          Agreed.
I noticed this last year as well.
On Timing hitting if you choose a poor/average team it is very hard to get successful results(unless you completely nerf the sliders in your favour) as the Timing Hitting mechanic is based on the players ratings. It is going to be easier getting results with Boston than say with the likes of Oakland or Pittsburgh.
I think if you want to run with a poorer team then you have to use Zone hitting where user input becomes a larger factor.

And of course the next game I play is a 1 run loss in extra innings But it was a fantastic game back and forth. Just hung a damn curve ball. Completely my fault.

Maybe you need to adjust sliders to your style of play and work on your pitch selection and location. I play on All Star with a slight variation from default sliders and I'm having a ton of realistic games. I'm also a Braves fan and have used them several times. I walk some batters and get in some jams with Kimbrel occasionally in save situations, but for the most part I come out of them unscathed with some nasty strikeouts. He's probably saved 7 or 8 games for me and blown 1 or 2 at the most.
