I rarely ever use power swing, just about 100% of my homeruns are hit with normal swing, even a couple were hit with contact swing.

I have lowered power for the CPU. I also need to look at Manager Hook. I believe this may be one of those sliders that is backwards. Reason being, when raised to 6 I see a lot of pitchers going longer than they should. I'm planning on testing this before the OSFM will release tomorrow so we can all start our franchises.

I, as well, believe CPU Power needs to be lowered a click. Here are the stats (CPU) through my 15 test games..

Runs | 4.46 (4.39)
Hits | 8.80 (8.78)
Doubles | 1.60 (1.75)
Triples | 0.13 (0.19)
HR | 1.26 (0.96)
BB | 2.73 (3.21)
K | 6.80 (7.04)

As you can see, Doubles (1.60 a game) and Triples (.13 a game | 2 in 15 games) aren't the problem. It's just the balls that are hit with some air under them, causing them to travel. The balls hit on a line are doing perfect, if you ask me. I just see too many balls hit in the air, watch my outfielder travel to the wall, just for it trickle over by "5" feet. Too many short wall, high hit balls.

Ran with these in a game last night. Really liked what I saw.

i was the M's and had Hultzen on the mound for his debut. He was wild in the first giving up 4 runs and walking 3. I struck out 6 times in the first 2 innings but adjusted to the pitch speed as the game went on. I believe 4 out of my 6 hits were for XB, HR and 3 2B. Really enjoyed the game and will continue to use these for a while.

Personally, I feel like I always pitch better with low end starters. Maybe it's because I actually have to think pitch-by-pitch instead of knowing that my fastball will blow by the guy, no matter of placement. Stats wise, I know for a fact that I give up more runs with my low-end starters, but I 'pitch' a better game. The runs are earned, not just slapping a heater down the shoot for a four-bagger. If that makes sense...

I hit a shot off the center field wall at Coors Field with Dee Gordon. Dee turned it into a stand up triple and man did it feel good. Only other times I've gotten a triple are when the outfielders do that little flip thingy.

Thanks for the shoutout! I gotta say that I am not seeing much power from my side though. I am allowing a lot of deep fly balls from the opposition and allowing a fair amount of homers.

The classic pitching takes some getting used to thats for sure.

Side note, I have never, ever seen a ball hit onto the hill in HOU and I did it yesterday with Chris Young with your sliders. Stand up triple.

ksig, thats exactly what we were testing today. Our idea was to drop User/CPU Power to 6 but bump User Solid Hits to 4, giving the user more pop on the good contact swings that are now being caught on the track or on a line by the outfielders.

Had a decent game with my first time using these last night. Lost 4-7 against the White Sox with the Tigers. I had 10 hits, they had 9 with an error. I struck out like 20 times with 1 walk against Gavin Floyd. Just gotta get used to HOF and pitch speed at 10 I think.

ksig, thats exactly what we were testing today. Our idea was to drop User/CPU Power to 6 but bump User Solid Hits to 4, giving the user more pop on the good contact swings that are now being caught on the track or on a line by the outfielders.

Good stuff, I certainly would like to get some of those solid contact hits to find the gaps or even the seats. Have yet to homer using these.
