i really recommend these sliders. i created my own slider thread (using these as a base) because i use a combination of pulse pitching, zone analog batting, and behind the pitcher batting...while also trying to create the most "playable" broadcast realistic atmosphere. i'm glad i saw these sliders as i never considered auto running/fielding, thinking it would make the game boring...not so. just chiming in that these sliders are great. they play well and look awesome. i wish i was able to take off more of the display icons (e.g. pitch icons when batting), and shrink the size of the pulse pitching icon to what i want, but it's all good. anyway, props on the sliders and visually appealing/broadcast settings.

hey ilive i am loving the sliders. i have couple of questions do you use the right analog to influence your hits with your sliders? do you use only x with your sliders? i dont guess pitch but i do guess location just cause i am not too good at reading the ball so is there anything i should change?

I do use the right-stick to influence my hits.. only in the proper need. Runner on third, hit-and-run, runner on second, etc.

As for guess pitch, not sure. Maybe knock your timing down so even if you know where the pitch is coming, you may have a hard time catching up. Or, if it's easier for you, just leave the sliders the same.

I use contact swing (O) on 0-2 and 1-2 counts, normal swing (X) on 0-0, 1-0, 0-1, 1-1, 2-2, 3-2 counts and power swing ([]) on 2-0 and 3-1 counts.

I DONT guess pitch i just guess location and if the i dont guess right i dont swing. is that bad?

Played a CRAZY game with these today. It was the Tigers (Verlander) v Red Sox (Beckett [me]).

The Tigers came into Fenway ready to play.. and it showed as they put up a SEVEN spot in the first, knocking Beckett out in 0.2 IP, the big blow being a Ryan Raburn Grand Slam. The Sox answered back with 4 in the bottom half off the reigning MVP/Cy Young (no homers). The Tigers answered with two in the 3rd, and the Sox put up ANOTHER 4 spot in the fourth, bringing them within one. Jarrod Salt. put the team on his back in the 6th, hitting his second HR (one right handed, one left handed; both over the monster) and tied the game. It stayed at 9's until the 9th when Fielder homered to give the Tigs the lead. In comes Valverde to shut the door. The Sox could muster the tying run to third until Cody Ross grounded out to Cabrera, ending the threat and the game.

tips on pitching with these sliders team era after the first 20 games 5 something i love the classic feel but i am walking to many batters or putting good hitters in good hitting counts

Classic Pitching is kind of an unknown art. Use a mix of speeds, spots, holds of button (Tap 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, Vibratr) to mix up your speeds. Don't be afraid to walk people. It is suppose to happen. Hitters will get hitters counts on you.. Just don't pitch into the trap. 2-0 count? Throw a changeup every once and awhile. Start the at bat with a breaking ball. Don't be too predictive.. thats when you get hurt.

Sorry if you answered this before, but why use Analog with the All Star set instead of Classic pitching like the HOF set? I realize I can just use whatever I want, but was wondering if there was a reason behind it.

I only played one game with your sliders, and I couldn't hit to save my life (and yes, I suck), but I really liked how the fielders reacted with your totally wacky settings...mad props on that for going outside the box and away from what seemingly all the other slider people are using.

We say only use Analog on All-Star IF yoy are going to use it without looking at the meter. Make a custom camera and make the meter small. Then, use yoyr warmup pitches to get your timing down and go from there. It really is a realistic way to pitch.

If it isn't for you, use Classic. It's tested on both.

Sir, we have been testing OSFM v3 ON our sliders. Let's just say... no effect. Well, no negative effect.
