Fine, I'll just keep playing. Hopefully I can get something going. 5-22 isn't good. Lots of moves are going to be made.

You are right, 5-22 isn't good. But, you know what is? The fact that if you go 6-21 next month, it's an improvement. Better your team, get some players for some years down the road. I know you don't like simming, but if you want a more enjoyable experience when playing all 162, try simming 1 or 2 years or so. That way, you can look over the roster and when you start the next year, you will have a team that you want to play with and can maybe win you some games (which I doubt, cause the Cubs suck).

I don't know what it is, but your all star sliders are top notch. The set seems even better than the HOF and Legend set. I use classic pitching and zone + analog batting with 10 pitch speed. I like the HOF set, but the All Star set is even better I think. I'm not saying this because of the stats. The game I played just looked and felt like baseball.

You are right, sir. I played about 55-60 games on the HoF set and something felt off to me. I went back to the All-Star set and now, I'm in love. It's made me play this game more than ever before and I love it. I'm not sure why the All-Star set makes me feel this way, but it does.

I also use Classic and Zone+Analog but I have a 7 Pitch Speed. Allows me to pull the ball more frequent, on pace with a realistic % of batted balls that are pulled. I had Adam Dunn up at the dish, looking like Ichiro with Pitch Speed at 10..

What I like are the cpu striking out a realistic amount of times and how I get hits when i put good swings on the ball and swing at strikes. It looks like real baseball, too. On HOF, i always see myself swinging at pitches right down the middle and constantly getting out.

Opening Day is upon us at last

The real games are here at last, and it's time to get rolling, Cubs fans.

What do you expect this year? Ryan Dempster gets the start on Opening Day as he looks to stay on top of his game. Manager Dale Sveum has done all he can to get the club ready, so it's up to the hitters to hit and the pitchers to pitch and the defenders to defend. How will the 2012 season go?

Stay tuned all year. It ought to be exciting.

                  Tough righty throttles Cubs

The Cubs can't get by talented right-hander Stephen Strasburg.

The Cubs lost a tight contest with the Nationals last night, with Washington picking up a 4-3 victory on the road. Ryan Dempster, who allowed 2 runs on 7 hits over 6 innings of work, too the loss, dropping his record to 0-1. Bryan LaHair crushed a big home run -- his only hit in 4 at-bats -- and drove in 2 runs to kick-start the offense.

Matt Garza (0-0, 0.00) (Cubs) and Gio Gonzalez (0-0, 0.00) (Nationals) will be on the mound for when the series resumes tomorrow afternoon at Wrigley Field.

                    Cubs get the "W"

Nice game for the Cubs, as they score win over Nationals.

The Cubs won a close contest with the Nationals last night -- the final score was 5-4 -- before a crowd of 39,568 at Wrigley Field. The club was helped by Bryan LaHair, who drove in 1 run by going 1- for- 1. By the time things were settled, starter Matt Garza was out of the game, though he did earn a quality start by allowing no runs in 6 innings of work. Usual closer Carlos Marmol picked up a rare win, his 1st of the season, working 1 inning and allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. Ryan Zimmerman collected career RBI number 500 in the game.

The Cubs and Nationals wrap things up this afternoon, with the Cubs sending Jeff Samardzija to the hill while Jordan Zimmerman will toe the rubber for the visiting Nationals.

Did you keep the set the same or did you make some minor changes?

                          Hitting display earns the win

Cubs score plenty, get easy win against Nationals.

The Cubs sent the 39,839 fans at Wrigley Field last night home filled with glee, as they (the Cubs, not the fans) smashed the Nationals 11-3. Alfonso Soriano homered and drove in 4 runs to lead the way for the Cubs. Jeff Samardzija allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings of work, to earn his 1st win of the season.

The Cubs start a new series in Chicago tonight, sending Chris Volstad to the mound against the Brewers and Shaun Marcum.
