Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS

Sorry I didn't use the generator, I had it completely filled out and then my CPU messed up and they take awhile to fill out and I'm lazy.

    Game 4
    Angels at Rangers

    1st Inning
Trout hits a hard grounded right at the short stop after drawing the count full. Aybar got into a quick 0-2 count which he eventually drew back to even, after an 8 pitch at bat he smoked a double to left center, Pujols takes a first pitch high fastball that he sends to left center for a double that scores Aybar. Hamilton steps in and a shaky Harrison quickly finds himself down 3-0, Hamilton lays off a meatball on 3-0 but hits a hard grounder on the next pitch for a single which advanced Pujols to 3rd. Trumbo quickly grounded into a double play to end the inning.
    Rangers go quietly 1-2-3

    2nd inning.
Kendrick flies out to Right for the first out. Callaspo works a 2-2 count and after fighting off some breaking balls, he gets a hanging curve that he ropes into left center for a double. Iannetta hits a little blooper that gets thru which advances Callaspo to 3rd. Bourjous and Trout strikeout to end the inning.
Cruz hits a single followed by a RBI double from Mooreland to tie it up in the 2nd

    3rd
Beltre singles in a run for the Rangers to go up 2-1

    4th
Trumbo takes the 2nd pitch of the inning over the left field wall to tie the game up. Vargas induced 3 straight groundballs to get out of the inning safely.

    6th
Angels get a lead off single from pujols. Hamilton strikes out on a good curveball. Pujols advances to 2nd on a wild pitch. Trumbo smokes a changeup that would have been a HR.... but foul. Trumbo ends up striking out. Kendrick hits a single to advance Pujols to 3rd. Callaspo lines out to right to end the inning game still tied 2-2.

    7th
Aybar flies out to start off the inning. Pujols gets in a battle against the Reliever Lindblom which he earns a free pass to first. Hamilton works a 3-1 count and gets his fastball that he sends into right center gap for a single advancing Pujols to 3rd with 1 out. Trumbo strikes out on a 3-2 count. Kendrick gets a hanging slider that he grounds to 3rd base to end the top of the inning.

    8th
Here's where the wheels fall off. Kinsler grounded to left for a single. Olt reached first on a throwing error which should have been a double play. Andrus steps in and blue starts to pinch the strike zone like crazy. Andrus tries to lay down a bunt 3 times, ends up getting a wild pitch that hits him to load the bases no outs. Gentry grounds into a double play and 1 run scores. Beltre lines to right for a single scores another run. Cruz homers to center 2 runs score. 6-2

    9th
inning starts off with 2 fly outs to right. Bourjous gets a hanging curve ball that he sends off the outfield wall for a double. Trout comes to the plate and gets a first pitch curveball that he sends back up the middle to score Bourjous. Aybar flies out to center to end the game.

    CPU Pitch stats
    First pitch strike 64%
    All pitch strike 64%

    Batting stats
    2 HR's
    6 2B

Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS

Ok so just plugged in your settings for hitting (timing) and fielding, as well as your sliders for User hitting/fielding and CPU pitching/fielding. Still using Authentic's settings and sliders for my pulse pitching though.

Anyway used them in my latest game of my *waiting* Braves chise and here's how it went.

Very fun game all of my HR's went to different parts of the park!! The first by BJ he pulled to LF, the second by Justin he hit straight over the 400 ft mark in center, and the last was a opposite field wall scraper by McCann.

Also the first double by Uggla really felt like one of those hits you see IRL where it looks like he just kinda flicks the bat at the ball and it somehow bangs off the wall, never had a hit feel like that on the show before!!!

Gonna keep this setup going really like the mix of your hitting with Authentic's pitching.

        quick question TNK

theres a pretty big thread with a lot of people talking about the AI base running and how they slow down running past 3rd and get thrown out at the plate quite often. I see you lowered base running speed to 4 are you seeing the CPUs guys being thrown out at homeplate in unrealistic situations anyone?

I haven't ran into this issue yet, but I'll keep my eyes open. I have however seen a high number of pick-offs and caught stealing. I've tried to steal 3 times with Trout in my current game and twice they pitched out on his steal attempt and caught him.

Played my first game with this set.
I lost to the Tigers at home using the Red Sox 9-5.
They had 12 hits and no hrs while I had 6 hits and 3 hrs.
Ortiz went deep twice for me.
I allowed all 9 runs in 2 innings.
Not sure i like using zone hitting yet.

Move it to the right for more pickoffs.....they don't try unless you extend your lead using L1

You need to pick your spots when you steal.......don't go on the 1st pitch of an AB with a speed guy in an obvious steal situation because the CPU will pitch out.

You have to out think the CPU

I've stolen plenty of bases with the setting where they are.....and I've been thrown out......steals and caught stealing are not an issue so far with the settings where they are.

They had 12 hits and no hrs while I had 6 hits and 3 hrs.
Ortiz went deep twice for me.
I allowed all 9 runs in 2 innings.
Not sure i like using zone hitting yet.
                  Stick with it!!!!!

I'm not a supporter of analog - this is still a video game, but I don't believe in Timing hitting.....it's 2013, it shouldn't be as simple as just tapping 1 button for hitting......there needs to be some level of difficulty, but I am not into the whole analog system.

I firmly believe that hitting X to swing and aiming your swing is the perfect setup - it is still a video game after all

Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS

TNK, thanks for working another set this year. I was only able to squeeze in two games last night but you could definitely see the hit variety along with realistic play in the outfield. Playing on All-Star with meter pitching and analog hitting. First game the Jays blew me up 9-3. First time using meter pitching and i was definitely missing my spots. Kuroda gave up three long balls (though not one to Bautista) but all of the pitches had way too much of the plate. Dickie wasn't a good guy to face as he had me baffled all night until they finally replaced him. Second game was Boston at Minnesota when i was messing with your camera angles. Good game, jumped out 3-0 early before the twins hung a three spot in the fourth. Went on to lose 5-4 in a tight game and a boneheaded play by me. Hit the button too quick trying to turn a double play and went to first instead of second. I guess that's where throw canceling comes in handy!

Anyone using this slider in RTTS mode or everyone using it for Franchise or other purposes?

Using them in RTTS. They work great. I raked in AA. I used the timeout approach to avoid first pitch meatballs. AAA I noticed that most of my hits are pop ups or dribblers.

Thanks buddy.....stay tuned though as I'll put out an official release before opening day and the OSFM sliders so we can dive balls deep into franchise when the rosters come out

And make sure to check post#1 of the thread as there are a few tweaks from the original version that is in the vault

Same here. I had to work on my contact and vision in order to hit more line drives. I ended up getting invited to spring training and making the team. In the majors, discipline and vision are really important.
