I think the HUM hitting sliders are great, but the CPU hitting is just non-existent to this point. Thru 11 games, I'm second in ERA (2.97) and have only given up 3 HR's. I think I'm going to have to try the CPU hitting sliders that Psycho has posted.

Well I'm not sure increasing timing to 6 and solid hits to 5 is going to be the answer. I only played 2 games so far doing that but it actually got much worse, hitting .149 in the two games, losing 1-0 in 13 innings in the first and winning 3-1 in the 2nd. The 3 runs I scored were not strong either. 1 was a solo homer. 1 was total garbage as I struck out on a pitch in the dirt with a runner on 3rd and accidentally sent him home. The catcher sat there waiting for the guy (facing away) and then missed the tag and dove at the runner and injured himself and the run scored. And the 3rd run was on a wild pitch with a runner at 3rd, so I didn't have a single hit with a runner in scoring position in either game.

Small sample size I know, but these were two of my worst offensive games since moving away from default Veteran, including my first time being shut out and shut out for 13 innings no less.

What team are you playing with? On All Star you really have to be more patient and wait for the right pitch to hit.

That's what I use for my pitching, and it's great. Very challenging.

What team are you playing with? On All Star you really have to be more patient and wait for the right pitch to hit.

Playing with the Dodgers and I am a patient hitter. I walk 3-4 times a game. The right pitch to hit just never comes, and on the rare occasion it does and I time it well, the PCI is way off and it's a weak out. Just played another game where I had 6 hits the whole game, all singles, 3 of them infield singles, until the 9th inning when I did manage to string 3 hits and a couple walks and score a couple meaningless runs.

Looking at the pitch location after the game and they only threw 8 pitches the whole game that even touched the middle of the zone. 3 of them I fouled off, the other 5 were outs. I had 6 line drives in the game, 4 went for hits, all singles. The other two were a foul and an out. The rest of my hits were either infield singles or my one extra base hit which was a little weak looper the opposite way against the shift with Adrian Gonzalez.

Oh, and I should mention that this last game was against the Braves and their starter got hurt in the first inning before recording an out and they used 9 different pitchers in the game, all of whom had little to no energy and still they would nail the corners and drop the changeup perfectly just below the zone. They finally brought in a starter who pitched the last 4 innings and got a save for it.

So in 3 games with timing 6 and solid hits 5 I'm hitting .185 averaging 6.5 hits a game and 1 XBH per game.

Regarding the change to 4/4 human pitching control/consistency, here are the effects that has had.

ERA 3.42
WHIP 1.07

So the hits and walks stayed about the same while they're getting more runs out of them plus more productive outs because they're striking out quite a bit less and hitting almost twice as many homers as before.

The dramatic decrease in strikeouts is a concern for me though because the Dodgers averaged 7.9 K/9 last year and the old K/9 was pretty close but obviously the ERA was way too low. So I guess I'll have to live with that one being off to get a realistic number of runs out of the CPU.

Also, getting realistic runs out of the CPU means a lot more losses for me since my offense is pretty horrible, hitting .224 over these 19 games with a .621 team OPS and only scoring 3.53 runs a game.

I was done tweaking weeks ago.

Enjoy the game guys and good luck to finding your perfect slider set.....I know sometimes it takes others longer to get what they want.

I can say I am absolutely loving this set and in full on baseball mode. The Show is not leaving my PS3 for a very....very I mean very long time.

Are you seeing enough balls thrown by pitchers on Vet hitting? I see a lot more balls on all star but can't hit. I really can't hit on either one.

Yep seeing balls and drawing walks. Hitting takes a lot of practice brother. And even when you start hitting good....you will go through cold spells and you can't get frustrated.

This game is the most realistic baseball video game in history. I can't sing it's praises enough.

Dominated with CC was mixing it up the entire game

Yes I am using hybrid exactly like page one. If a click up gets the game feeling better for you by all means....go for it.
