Really excited for this set. I used them last year and it was super fun! The only change(s) I made were setting the Fielding: Throwing Interface to Pure Analog, and the Throwing Meter to either No Feedback, or just Off. Again, thanks in advance for all the time and effort into making these sliders!

One more thing... how do you feel the pitch speed is compared to last year? I feel like with it at 5 (default), it's too slow.

I'll comment because I think we're all in agreement that pitch speed is always going to be a personal preference regardless of what the slider says. Go into an exhibition game or batting practice and face your favorite fireballer who throws around 95mph. When you absolutely cannot pull their fastball without looking specifically for it, your at the right speed in my opinion.

With the sliders updated for CPU pitching to be 4,3,1 with 1 for strike frequency, I had Matt Cain throw three walks in 4 innings, and a 53% first pitch strike ratio. And of those first pitch strikes, one was right down the middle to AJ Ellis after back to back walks. I've been doing the fixaround of calling time before the first pitch, and it seems to be working.

armor can't wait to see what your sliders look like for this year...i used your set last year and had great results....this year i took your advice from the first post and tried out auto fielding...i think i will stick with using that...really makes the ratings matter.

I'm curious to who gave this thread a bad rating? The sliders aren't even out yet. I'm starting to think there's a certain slider maker on this forum who continually rates others bad.. It's not right

Marino and I have been testing like mad men.

We will unveil the set Thursday evening. We are getting very close to nailing this.

Meantime.....what an amazing game we have this year. I can't wait for the OSFM to get a Yankees franchise off the ground. And of course I will go out and give a major shout to JMeyers and Jethrotull's forth coming 1987 set with full minors for franchise play. I can assure you those and whatever Knight decides to put together this year will be stellar classic roster sets.

I am sure we will see others as well from awesome roster makers here like Baumy, PJ and so many others.

Anyway thanks for being super patient. We just did not want to rush out a set and have to make changes all the time. Let's get it close to perfect the first time around. I am sure we will have a tweak or two along the way...and of course we will see a patch eventually and see if anything needs to be adjusted after that (last year we had to adjust nothing after the first major post release patch).

Here is a quick tidbit.

Pitch speed is purely your choice. It is so important to make sure you set it to where your comfortable, and giving yourself a challenge as well. What you don't want to do is have it at a level where your just flat out can't hit, or all you do is square up the ball.

Right now we have it at default 5. But if that is not working for you....take it up or down one click each game you test it. Play 9 innings on another setting to make sure your comfortable.

So pitch speed is never set in stone for the individual player. Once your able to settle on a pitch speed value all the other settings fall into place. That has been my experience for years now with this game.

Don't sweat it. If you need it on zero.....who cares!!! It's your game and you should enjoy it to the fullest. Last year I had it on 3. And it was perfect at that setting for me. At one point I had it on zero...then was able to move it up to three after playing over a hundred games.

I gotta tell ya.....The Show 13 out of the box is the best tuned sports game ever. The sliders are going to look quite familiar if things keep playing out the way they are right now.

Good to hear they're almost done. So far I'm getting fairly realistic scores with all the offensive settings for both human and CPU on default and using the CPU pitcher control, consistency, and strike frequency from last year's set.

I still score a tad too many runs and have a little too easy of a time keeping the CPU from scoring runs, but I'm playing in an online league with people of varying abilities, so that might just be how it has to stay.

Still looking forward to trying out the new sliders when they are available.
