    Re: Fictional rosters?

If there is a spreadsheet that will make it easier for me to set up ratings and the like I will gladly do what I can. Last year I tried but creating proper attributes was the most difficult part for me. Let me know if you think I can be of help. If we can get the ball rolling on this again, maybe we can actually get this done.

Also there was a note on creating players with service time, how could that be done, is that even possible?

Just uploaded the first set, ready for the next one. Can probably get another set done by Sunday night.

Glad to see this thread has gained a little traction since the other one had to be shut down.

Someone else started the new thread and people were offering help. Creator2700 has kept working on the project and didn't get much help for almost a month. The least I could do is drum up some support and help for him. It worked. We've had a few submissions since the thread opened

              Re: Fictional rosters?

I am working on another set right now. I should have it completed by the weekend. MLB Bob's spreadsheet has really helped with creating these. I can't wait to see how the roster plays.
The more help we get, the quicker these will be completed. Thanks to everyone helping!

                Re: Fictional rosters?

I haven't looked over the completed spreadsheets yet but the help is definitely appreciated. I expected to be able to help more when it first came out but life got in the way, so I can relate sluggbugg.

I started a new job. Gf had a baby. Were building our first house. I got sick in between all that a few times so I can appreciate the effort everyone has been putting and pulling the extra weight. I'm glad it's picking up again

It's definitely slow going, takes time but I think we're all glad that this hasn't gone by the wayside. Always fun to play with these rosters. The thought of having service time added is a really cool idea (I know, first things first.) I remember one game that gave you the option for all fictional rosters, I think it had Giambi or Jeter on the cover.

                    Re: Fictional rosters?

The other thing about these rosters is to get the base first edition out for people to use. With roster carry overs the final version beyond this first project may end up being a long term goal. Priority is to get a playable fictional roster out there. They make the replayability factor of this game go through the roof.

Just uploaded another set. Minor league pitchers...so fun to create. Well, I guess someone has to do it. Ready for another set to work on. Getting excited about the progress of this roster.

                            Re: Fictional rosters?

Ive gotten some files from a few of the guys that took them, some got me several files. To those guys thank you and keep it going. Things are moving along. I think there are a few guys with spreadsheets that havent checked in in awhile..feel free to message me/imbox me with an update or questions or any thing else so I know where we at. Any thing complete is helpful and there is no race or mandatory amount to do, if you have a few guys done feel free to let me know and I'll grab them.

Anyone interested in helping also let me know. We should have a better idea after the weekend where we are. Just to reiterate, this is a big project and we've had some great help but its almost twice as big by the numbers as OFSM and generally we have less help. not a complaint just a comparison. Knight has been a supporter of the project and has helped me with my questions and Creator2700 is the main man behind this roster. Hes the only one that hasnt stopped.

This will add so much replayability to the game its a long term project and hopefully can be used next year too.

I have been traveling for work for the last 2 weeks so I haven't done any player creation since then. I should have time this week to work on more.

MLB Bob - I recieved your email with the new spreadsheet but there was no attachment. Could you please re-send me the email with the attached spreadsheet?

                              thanks

Just checking in again -- I've got the last sheet you sent me and I'm past the halfway point on it. I'm expecting to be done with it possibly tomorrow evening/Wednesday morning (I work second shift and usually work on this for an hour or so after getting home from work, so that's why I usually turn them in early in the morning).

I'm glad to be of help and am happy to be a part of this project!
