    Re: Fictional rosters?

I know I haven't been involved with this whole discussion, but I have some good news. I've been working on a fictional roster since the end of August and I'm around 75% done. The whole AL is done and so is the NL East. There will be no MLB The Show produced players, which means everyone can be editable. A way to fill up the minor leagues with realistic players, I used the minor system that is available in the OSFM Roster. A more detailed report will be made once the roster is completed and fine combed for mistakes and whatnot.

That's great news. Maybe you can team up with creator to complete the set? Not sure where creator is with the original set, but I know he put a ton of work into it and I'm sure the quality is top notch. Either way, nice job!

So did you edit the names and ratings on the minor leaguers in OFSM? And replaced the real mlb players with new creations? Let me know the situation and see if we can do something to finish up.

We're getting closer to done as well.

For the MLB player spots, every player has had some modification made to it. There are quite a few replicas in there to get me started as well as a few random celebrities and other sport athletes (but you can always change that). The MiLB players are a different story. For the most part, the lower guys I really did not change, but I did try to change any high prospect/mid season call up that would be recognizable. Compared to some of the work you guys put out there, my roster is pretty half-assed. More modifications though, will probably be done prior to the full release such as advanced modification and putting players in the right spot.

Do you know what guys you created as unique? The non celeb/athlete unchanged generic players? If so..those would be the ones we could really work with...We're getting pretty close and then it will a review and get them out. I may be optimistic but I think its just a matter of Creator getting some time to transfer a large number of players that have already been created...hes doing a lot of work.

About 75% or so of the MLB players are unique...I would just have to pick apart the rosters to get them. I'd say there would be enough to fill up whatever the progress you have now. The ratings might need to be skewed to fit any type of formula you have, but other than that, everything is perfect.

This is great news. I have been waiting all season for these rosters. I only played about 20 games in the Show because I have been waiting for these rosters to start my franchise. Really happy to see the progress. Thanks for all the work put into these.

                  Re: Fictional rosters?

                  Hi guys just an update:

I've been having some problems connecting to the wifi at school with my PS4, so I've been mostly out of actions for the last week. I'll be traveling home for the weekend though, so I'll make sure to get everything downloaded then so that I can work offline from school.
I play sports games and spend way too much time making rosters.

Uploaded another set, under woodycooks set 6. All players on Baltimore and Boston rosters. We are close, I can smell it.

So with the holidays approaching (preventing extra time to be spent) and the release of next year's iteration just months away, is it safe to say that this project is quickly losing it's luster for those who are working on it?

                          Re: Fictional rosters?

Honestly want these twice as bad since I have found that the 2013 version of the game, last one I bought and use only with the fictional rosters, screws up all the season statistics after about nine years. My White Sox now have the best bullpen ERA in baseball by far with an almost 5.00 team Pen ERA. Becoming more or less unplayable. So please guys I need a new version of these so I can finally enjoy the 2014 version of the game? Regardless can't thank you enough for all the work to this point crossing my fingers and keeping 2014 on my amazon wishlist just in case.

Well I had a major setback in the project about 2 weeks ago when I misplaced a few files. I've been slowly reworking them and currently on my final stage of finalizing the rosters. I wouldn't expect this to be done any earlier than sometime next month but no longer than the next calender year.

justmunc, are you working with creator on this set? Or is this a separate set that you are working on? Thanks for all the work.

Just me for this year's game. I've been working on it since early August which shows how big of a project it really is with one person (which I enjoy doing). Im gonna get to it for about an hour or so right after I send this message.
