Wow - that is really impressive. I know how much time and effort goes into creating quality players, so hats off to you!
It might be worth checking with creator on his progress to see if maybe you 2 can come together and finish a complete set. I know he also has been working on fictional roster set since the game came out. I submitted a bunch of created players to him to help out.
Great work and looking forward to playing with them.

        Re: Fictional rosters?

I will apologize on behalf of the original project. I'm not going throw anyone under the bus and I have to thank the guys that put in hard work and submitted players for the roster.

The situation is I don't know what happened or what state the roster is in because I have not been given a real update. I have not been the organizer or even the one to make the most players, I just had a new baby, new job, new house and 8 weeks plus of being sick and in and out of hospital.

I have most of the players that were submitted by the forum. I also have the players I made. That still only totals less than 1 leagues worth. I'm hoping that justmunc releases his version as for any other version I will be completing what I have. My plan was to rework the fictional roster with all new names and service time and more realistic contracts. This is now my plan and hope it will be completed. I have saved all the players released throughout the year with service time and it totals 60 different players. This should allow for a decent mix

I appreciate how everyone helped and you people deserve a roster. I have a week off so I hope to get a nice bit of organization done to complete the project.

Sorry from me to the forum it didn't get the product I had hoped. I know everyone tired hard

There is a chance it is close to complete and communication has just been hard and if so, hopefully that info will come out

MLB Bob, you put a lot of work into the original roster, which was greatly appreciated. Your excel spreadsheets were a tremendous help.
Have you heard anything from Creator? It would be unfortunate to see the original efforts go unfinished. Creator did send a reply about a month ago stating that he was still working on the original roster. I hate to think that we can't somehow continue with the original roster if Creator does not have time to complete it. Perhaps he can hand it off to somebody else to complete?
Anyways, thanks again for the efforts and hope you are feeling better.

You can do this? What am I missing here, I didn't think this could be done.

              Re: Fictional rosters?

I am suggesting a fictional roster be completed including the stock computer generated players. We surely have enough created players to put a fictional roster together fairly quickly. I understand this was not the original plan, however It is November and i am ready to play some !@#$ing baseball. Will finish clearing a roster of all "real" players today, and will start filling with the players I created and others I can find in the vaults that were intended for the original fictional roster plan. Input on this would be appreciated.

I havent heard back from Creator and suggested if he could finish that i could take what he had and combine what i have ect to get something out...no reply. I know he was having internet issues so I dont know anything about his situation. I know he made a TON of players that I dont have. I left a message on woody's chalk board about a possible solution

so through out the year SCEA added players that were editable with service time. I collected them from every roster update and they total about 60 both pitchers and position players. I plan to create a roster with no service time players for A, most AA and some AAA rosters and mix the mlb rosters with service time players. They are some what limited and will be duplication but appearance and contracts will be based on ratings.

Once I get enough posts on the forums, I will make a thread containing the progress of the roster. Every player has been made, but I'm placing them on designated teams and giving them one final check.

                    Edit:
                    New thread has been posted

Woody, I submitted a bunch of players to Creator for his roster set. If you search the vault with my PSN= trex187, you should be able to find all of them. I submitted them as roster sets with a certain team containing the created players. I also used MLB Bob's spreadsheet for the ratings. I hope this will help.

i have been compiling all the spreadsheets people have been submitting and applying to one roster. I just dont have anything from creator, so I have yours DCP134, any you submitted will be on the roster I give him this weekend.

                          Re: Fictional rosters?

So there's no hiding the fact that last year's attempt at creating a fictional roster set was disappointing. However, I have extra time on my hands and most of the work done already. Players need only to be ported to MLB 15 The Show and edited slightly with the new gear and slightly different ratings... If I finish sooner than anticipated I may take a run at some custom contracts as well.

I have all the players that I need, so I'm actually not looking for helpers, just support. I am just wondering if there are others out there who would still be interested in these if I uploaded them once finished?

It is the same roster I and some others were working on last year with a few players added from a couple other incomplete rosters out there.

Tentative release is in May... Probably early to mid May.

I apologize for the let down that was last year's project... Without all the help, I couldn't have the rosters as prepared as they are now to be brought to 2015.

                          Anybody else still interested?

Yeah, but in my mind and other fictional roster user/creator's minds, that doesn't make much of a "quality" player. The faces are the hardest part to make look good and its certainly much easier to import each player individually from last year's game than it is to make them from scratch.
